        Two new species and one new record species of Rhopus (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae) from China, with a key to Chinese species

      • Growth of Human Colon Cancer Cells in Nude Mice is Delayed by Ketogenic Diet With or Without Omega-3 Fatty Acids and Medium-chain Triglycerides

        Background: Tumors are largely unable to metabolize ketone bodies for energy due to various deficiencies in one or both of the key mitochondrial enzymes, which may provide a rationale for therapeutic strategies that inhibit tumor growth by administration of a ketogenic diet with average protein but low in carbohydrates and high in fat. Materials and Methods: Thirty-six male BALB/C nude mice were injected subcutaneously with tumor cells of the colon cancer cell line HCT116. The animals were then randomly split into three feeding groups and fed either a ketogenic diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids and MCT (MKD group; n=12) or lard only (LKD group; n=12) or a standard diet (SD group; n=12) ad libitum. Experiments were ended upon attainment of the target tumor volume of $600mm^3$ to $700mm^3$. The three diets were compared for tumor growth and survival time (interval between tumor cell injection and attainment of target tumor volume). Results: The tumor growth in the MKD and LKD groups was significantly delayed compared to that in the SD group. Conclusions: Application of an unrestricted ketogenic diet delayed tumor growth in a mouse xenograft model. Further studies are needed to address the mechanism of this diet intervention and the impact on other tumor-relevant parameters such as invasion and metastasis.

        Analysis on the Traditional Cultural Elements of the Chinese Animated Film Big Fish & Begonia

        애니메이션 영화 〈나의 붉은 고래〉는 최근 몇 년동안 중국 애니메이션 영화의 새로운 시도로 시장의 표현이든 예술 창작이든 모두 한 단계 진보한 것이다. 최근 10년간의 창작 과정에서 〈나의 붉은 고래〉는 중국 신화의 전설을 깊이 파헤쳐 현대 예술과 결합시켜 표현했다. 본 연구는 영화 속 중국 전통문화 요소를 연구의 출발점으로 삼아 캐릭터 디자인, 장면디자인, 민족문화 등 다양한 측면에서 분석했다. 〈나의 붉은 고래〉의 전통문화요소 분석을 통해 애니메이션 영화가 더 발전할 수 있는 방향을 찾아본다. 현대예술을 중국 전통문화와 융합시켜 민족문화의 특색을 살리는 것 등이다. 바로 〈나의 붉은 고래〉에 중국 문화코드가 많이 녹아 있고, 정교하게 설치돼 있어 좋은 평가를 받을 수 있다. The animated film Big Fish & Begonia is a new attempt of Chinese animated films in recent years. Both market performance and artistic creation are an improvement. In the process of creation in the past ten years, Big Fish & Begonia has profoundly excavated Chinese myths and legends and combined them with modern art. This study takes the traditional Chinese cultural elements in the film as the starting point for research, from the aspects of character design, scene design and national culture. Through the analysis of the traditional cultural elements in Big Fish & Begonia, try to find a better direction for the development of animated films, such as the integration of modern art and traditional culture. It is precisely because of the large number of Chinese cultural elements incorporated in the Big Fish & Begonia that it is ingeniously set up to bring visual enjoyment and inner resonance to the audience.

        Research on the Usability of information Positioning Interaction Method in Instant Messaging App

        Objective: This paper investigates an interaction method for quickly finding a target message in an instant messaging app and uses usability testing to determine whether this interaction method improves usability. Background: With the development of Internet technology and the widespread use of social media, instant messaging apps have become a must-have app for everyone. Due to this convenience, users need to deal with a large amount of information every day and searching and filtering consume a lot of time. It is necessary to study new interaction methods to solve problems. Method: Analyzed the structure of the focus area of the instant messaging app message lookup, identified problematic points and designed a new interaction method and prototype. Conducted usability evaluation of the old and new interaction methods using objective methods. 1) Designed experiments and questionnaires around three aspects of usability, effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction. 2) Recruited testers to conduct tests. 3) Performed statistical analysis of the obtained data. Results: The efficiency and user experience of the new interaction method can be greatly improved, and the learning cost is low. The new interaction method significantly reduces the disadvantage of increasing the number of messages affecting the finding time. No matter how many messages it takes only about 6 seconds. Conclusion: With the increase of users' message processing, how to improve the search efficiency directly affects the user's satisfaction. In order to further expand the applicable groups and usage scenarios, it seems that further research and exploration are needed. Application: Based on the results of this study, there can be a faster way to find the interaction of messages in instant messaging apps. It provides a reference for future design of chat applications with gestures on touch screens. It is also to further increase the value of heuristic evaluation in usability studies. Importantly, it creates new methods of interaction and confirms the possibility.

        Physicochemical and Sensory Characterization of Ginger-juice Yogurt during Fermentation

        The primary purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a ginger (Zingiber ofcinale) juice addition to milk on the physicochemical and sensory properties and consumer acceptability of yogurt during fermentation. Under the presence of ginger juice at 2.0 to 10.0%(v/v), there was a significant influence (p<0.05) on the viability of characteristic microorganisms in yogurt,the pH, titratable acidity (ºSH), viscosity, and hardness of the products. The descriptive data showed significant differences (p<0.05) among the samples for all attributes. The consumer results from external preference mapping indicated that samples with the lower ginger juice (≤4%)were liked over the higher samples (≥6%), with a negative impact on the acceptance by the consumers. Therefore,these findings suggest that 4%(v/v) may be the more appropriate content of ginger juice in the preparation of ginger-juice yogurt.

        An Automatic Urban Function District Division Method Based on Big Data Analysis of POI

        Along with the rapid development of the economy, the urban scale has extended rapidly, leading to the formation of different types of urban function districts (UFDs), such as central business, residential and industrial districts. Recognizing the spatial distributions of these districts is of great significance to manage the evolving role of urban planning and further help in developing reliable urban planning programs. In this paper, we propose an automatic UFD division method based on big data analysis of point of interest (POI) data. Considering that the distribution of POI data is unbalanced in a geographic space, a dichotomy-based data retrieval method was used to improve the efficiency of the data crawling process. Further, a POI spatial feature analysis method based on the mean shift algorithm is proposed, where data points with similar attributive characteristics are clustered to form the function districts. The proposed method was thoroughly tested in an actual urban case scenario and the results show its superior performance. Further, the suitability of fit to practical situations reaches 88.4%, demonstrating a reasonable UFD division result.

        The strength analysis and probabilistic design of a bogie frame with incomplete probabilistic information

        A bogie frame is a key component of high-speed rail; higher requirements of the safety and stability of the bogie frame are put forward with the continuous improvement of the train speed. In this study, we first performed a strength analysis of a bogie frame according to the JIS E 4207 standard by using finite element method. Then, we did a reliability analysis of the bogie frame. The reliability problems are defined as strength reliability and resonant frequency reliability, which indicate the structural safety and stability of the bogie frame. The reliability estimation is realized by experimental design, artificial neural network and stochastic perturbation theory. Additionally, reliability-based sensitivity indices were derived to measure the parameter importance of random input variables. An illustrative example of the bogie frame with incomplete probabilistic information was used to demonstrate the applications of the proposed method for reliability and reliability-based sensitivity estimation in terms of strength and resonant frequency reliability. The results indicate that vertical loads and the material density have more of an impact on reliability than other variables of the bogie frame.

        Safety Evaluation of Lactobacillus paracasei subsp. paracasei LC-01,a Probiotic Bacterium

        The safety of Lactobacillus paracasei subsp. paracasei LC-01was evaluated for its use as a potential probiotic. In our in vitro study, the antibiotic resistance and the ability to produce biogenic amine were determined. The results showed that the strain was sensitive to all tested antibiotics and did not produce biogenic amine except for tyramine. The oral toxicity of this strain was evaluated in Balb/C mice. One hundred mice were divided into 10 groups. Four groups were administered 0, 108, 109, or 1010 CFU/mouse per day dissolved in saline solution respectively, for 28 days. Three groups were injected intraperitoneally with 109 CFU/mouse dissolved in saline solution, and were killed 2, 5, and 10 days after injection. The last 3 groups were injected with the vehicle as controls respectively. The results showed that oral administration of the strain had no adverse effects on mouse body weight and that there was no treatment-associated bacterial translocation. Intraperitoneal administration caused a significant translocation to liver, spleen and kidney. However,this translocation did not cause illness or death throughout the experiment. The results suggest that L. paracasei subsp. paracasei LC-01 is likely to be safe for human consumption.

        Separation and Purification of Antioxidant Peptide from Fermented Whey Protein by Lactobacillus rhamnosus B2-1

        In this study, a antioxidant activity peptide fraction was separated and purified from metabolites of whey protein fermented by Lactobacillus rhamnosus B2-1. The fermentation sample was separated by macroporous resin D101 and Sephadex G-15. The collected fractions were tested for antioxidant and antitumor activities. In order to test the antioxidant activity of fractions, Hydroxyl (·OH), 2,2'-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6- sulfonic acid (ABTS), and Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) were used. The final purified peptide B11 showed highest ABTS and ·OH radical scavenging rate by 84.36±1.89% and 62.43±2.64%, respectively, and had an ORAC activity of 1,726.44± 2.76 μM Trolox equivalent/g. Further, the inhibitory effect of B11 on the proliferation of LoVo human colon cancer cells, KB and Cal-27 human oral cancer cells were enhanced with increasing concentrations of B11. B11 contains 51.421% amino acids, with Glu and Asp being the major constituents. In this study, we obtained peptide fraction B11 with antioxidant activity, which is promising for development.
