Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of body blade and Thera band exercise on upper extremity strength, grip strength and balance of university students. Design: Single Blind Randomized Controlled Trial. Method: twenty healthy adults, participated in this study, and were recruited by G University in Gimcheon Korea. The subjects were randomly divided into A group that went through Thera band exercise and B group that went through Body blade exercise. Each group had 10 subjects. All subjects did the experiment for 3 times a week for 3weeks. Spss was used for statistical analysis. Result: 1) Grip strength: After exercising, for the BE group, there were statistically significant differences in dominant and non-dominant hand. However, for the TE group, there were no significant statistical differences in both hands. 2) muscle strength: In the TE group there were no significant statistical differences in the dominant and non-dominant arm. But in the BE group there were differences which were found. 3) balance: After exercising, both groups had no significant statistical difference in medial lateral balance. In anterior and posterior balance, TE group had no statistical significant difference but BE group did. Conclusion: To improve muscle strength balance and grip strength, body blade exercise is more effective than Thera band exercise.

The effect of oxidation in SAE 5W20(5W30) engine oils on friction and wear characteristics was investigated using reciprocating bench tester and shell 4-ball tester. Four commercial engine oils were collected and oxidized using the KS M 2021 method modifying the oxidation time. Kinematic viscosity, total acid number(TAN), and total base number(TBN) also measured to examine the chemical change of oils with oxidation. The results showed that kinematic viscosity and TAN were slightly changed during the initial oxidation stage, however, TBN linearly decreased with oxidation time. Friction test results showed that oxidation of oils formed unstable friction layers causing higher fluctuating friction, however, the wear resistance was independent of oxidized time due to the different friction characteristics of intermediate products by oxidation.

Small bowel obstruction is an unusual complication of pregnancy, but it is associated with high fetal and maternal mortality. Diagnosis is often delayed due to confusion over symptoms by both the patient and physicians, because symptoms such as colicky abdominal pain, vomiting and constipation are all common at various stages of pregnancy. If is small bowel obstruction of gravid patient suspected, prompt abdominal radiological evaluation and surgical intervention to reduce both maternal and fetal mortality are warranted. We report a recently report a recently experienced case of small bowel obstruction with brief review of literatures.
나노스크래칭시 나타나는 stick-slip 현상에 관한 분자역학모사

Scratching of a Cu substrate using a nanoindenter was investigated by molecular dynamics simulation. The simulation was carried out using embedded atom potentials assuming a rigid tip (radius = 25Å) scratching on Cu (100) surface. Friction force oscillation on an atomic scale was observed during the scratching simulation. A slow friction force increase followed by an abrupt decrease was found and it was repeated with an approximately same amplitude regardless of scratching depth in the range of 1.8 and 3.6 Å. The friction force oscillations observed during the scratching tests represent a typical of stick-slip behavior during sliding. Particularly noteworthy is the finding that the friction force oscillation accompanies continuous dislocation nucleation under the nanoindenter and their propagation along the Cu surface, exhibiting the Shockley partial dislocations in a V shape.

Friction force fluctuation during scratching of a Cu {100} surface by a nano-size spherical asperity was studied by molecular dynamics simulation using embedded atom potentials. The scratching simulation was performed at different directions ([100] and [101]), and crystal geometries (single crystal and bi-crystal substrates). Results showed that the friction force oscillated during the scratching and the oscillation changed into repetitive stick-slip patterns when it involved dislocation nucleation and propagation, exhibiting slow elastic deformation followed by an abrupt friction force drop due to plastic yielding of the Cu substrate. The level and the periodicity of friction force were changed with sliding directions and this was related with the shear stress along the slip direction. The presence of grain boundaries strongly affected the friction force oscillation due to the interaction between dislocations and grain boundaries and the interaction produced non-periodic stick-slip behaviour.
