        Atraumatic splenic rupture (ASR) in a patient undergoing peritoneal dialysis (PD) is uncommon, but can be life-threatening. According to recent systematic reviews, the major causes of ASR are 1) neoplastic (30.3%), 2) infectious (27.3%), 3) non-in-fectious inflammatory (20.0%), 4) iatrogenic (9.2%), 5) mechanical (6.8%), and 6) idiopathic (6.4%). It is diagnosed by imaging studies, most commonly ultrasonography and computed tomography (CT). Due to its rarity, the early diagnosis of ASR is difficult, and no standard treatment has been described. Here, we report a case of idiopathic ASR in a patient undergoing PD. The diagnosis was established by abdominal CT scan, and splenectomy was performed. Thus, hemoperitoneum in a PD patient should raise suspi-cion of ASR. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment will lead to a better outcome. (Korean J Med 2019;94:526-529)

        People spend approximately 80 ~ 90 % of their time in various kinds of indoor spaces. And in metropolitan area most people spend more than 1 hour in public transportation everyday. For this reason people's interest in the indoor air quality is drastically increasing. Among various indoor air pollutants CO2 is one of the most severe environmental concerns. Ventilation is commonly used to keep low CO2 concentration in the passenger cabin. However ventilation may worse the indoor air quality problem in case of subway because the tunnel is seriously polluted by particulate matters. In this study an alternative way to remove CO2 was suggested. The adsorption of CO2 by CO2 adsorbent was studied. Zeolite modified with base was prepared and CO2 removal performance was tested in 4m3 and 24m3 environmental chambers. It was found that CO2 adsorbent could effectively remove CO2 in the chambers.

      • 단호박을 첨가한 잼의 품질특성 연구

        The Purpose of this study was to characrerize a commercial and handmade sweet pumpkin jam as a value-added food. Sweet pumpkin was incorparated into jam at 70% (w/w) level as a model food system of Jam. The sweet pumpkin cootent was selected by customer desirabilty preexamined Qualities parameters such as moisture content, pH, soluble solids content, color, hardness, and consumer preferences were determined. The moisture contents of commercial and handmade jams were 27.7% and 30.0%, respectively. The values of pH and total acidity with commercial and handmade jams were 6.17 and 6.29, 0.117 and 0.118, respectively. The soluble solids contents of commercial and handmade jams were 52.7 aBrix and 44.1 oBrix. The color properties (lightness, redness, and yellowness) and total polyphenol content of the handmade sweet pumpkin jam were higher than those of the commercial sweet pumpkin jam. The physical strengths of the handmade sweet pumpkin jam were lower than those of the commercial sweet pumpkin jam, and especially the hardness of the commercial sweet pumpkin jam showed significantly higher values. Finally, the consumer acceptability evaluation indicated that it prefer the handmade sweet pumpkin jam than the commercial sweet pumpkin jam. The overall results demonstrate that the commercialization of a sweet pumpkin jam as a value-added food is possble to promote.

        Carbon dioxide concentration of railroad passenger cabin is obliged to be kept lower than guideline values of ‘Indoor air quality guideline for public transportations’, but actual carbon dioxide concentration frequently exceeds this guideline value. Ventilation is most desirable to lower carbon dioxide concentration but there are some cases when the ventilation is not applicable. In this study, carbon dioxide concentration control method using adsorbents was presented. Base and zeolites, good adsorbents of carbon dioxide, were mixed and palletized. Carbon dioxide adsorption performance of this adsorbents were studied. It was found that base-modified zeolites adsorbed carbon dioxide better than zeolites only.

        지상과 지하역사의 실내공기질 특성과 외기영향 평가

        본 연구에서는 지하역사와 지상역사에서의 실내공기질을 측정하고, 외부 공기에 의한 영향 정도를 확인하고자 하였 다. 측정된 물질은 ‘실내공기질 관리법’상에서 유지기준과 권고기준으로 지정된 항목 중, 농도가 검출되지 않은 석면을 제외 한 미세먼지(PM10), 이산화탄소(CO₂), 일산화탄소(CO), 이산화질소(NO₂), 폼알데하이드(HCHO), 오존(O₃), 총부유세균(TAB), 총휘발성유기화합물(TVOC), 라돈 등 9종이다. 또한 미세먼지, 이산화질소, 오존 등 세 가지 물질은 I/O ratio를 통해 외기에 의한 영향을 확인하였다. 공기질 측정결과 지상역사에 비해 지하역사에서 미세먼지, 폼알데하이드, 총휘발성유기화합물, 이 산화질소, 라돈 등이 높은 농도로 검출되었으며, 이는 지하역사 내부에 그 오염물질의 발생요소가 존재하기 때문으로 판단된 다. 오존 농도는 지상역사에서 지하역사보다 높은 농도로 검출되었으며, 특히 외부로 노출되어있는 지상역사 승강장에서 높 은 농도를 보임으로써 외기 유입에 의한 영향이 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서, 외기에 의한 영향을 받는 오염물질은 역사 의 기계환기시 제거 과정을 거쳐 오염물질의 실내유입을 차단하고, 지하역사에서 기인한 미세먼지 등의 물질들은 실내에서 그 발생원에 따른 별도의 처리가 필요할 것으로 판단된다. In this study, the air quality of underground and overground railway stations was evaluated focusing on the degree of influence of the outside air quality. The measured components were particulate matter (PM10), carbon dioxide (CO₂), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), formaldehyde (HCHO), ozone (O₃), total airborne bacteria (TAB), total volatile organic carbon (TVOC), and Radon (Rn), which are included in the maintenance standards and recommended standards of the Indoor Air Quality Management Act. Also, the indoor/outdoor concentration ratios of PM10, NO₂, and O₃ were calculated to estimate the influence of the outdoor air quality. The concentrations of PM10 HCHO, TVOC, NO₂, and Rn in the underground stations were found to be higher than those in the overground stations. These results indicate that the (present) generation of contaminants are caused by the indoor source of the underground station. The ozone concentration of the overground stations was higher than that of the underground stations, which indicates that the outdoor ozone concentration influenced that of the overground stations directly. Thus, methods of improving the IAQ should take into consideration the types of contamination

        충북N : 사용자 위치 기반 뉴스 검색 시스템

        스마트폰 가입자 수가 증가함에 따라 사용자의 편의를 제공하려는 다양한 분야의 애플리케이션이 등장하고 있다. 특히, 최근에는 위치 기반 서비스를 활용하여 사용자의 현재 위치에 따라 정보를 제공받는 방식의 애플리케이션이 많이 개발되고 있다. 또한, 뉴스의 경우 수많은 데이터 가운데 정작 필요한 정보를 제공받기 어렵다. 특히, 지역과 관련된 뉴스의 경우 거의 찾아보기 힘들다. 뉴스를 제공해주는 많은 애플리케이션이 있으나 국내에서 사용자의 위치 정보에 따른 뉴스 정보를 제공하는 시스템이 없어 사용자는 주변의 뉴스를 제공받기 힘들다. 본 논문에서는 스마트폰 사용자의 위치 정보를 사용해 주변 기사를 제공하는 애플리케이션 시스템을 제안한다. 이 시스템은 주변에서 일어난 기사내용을 제공하기 때문에 사용자가 필요한 주변 정보를 쉽게 알 수 있다는 장점을 가진다. 제안한 시스템은 충북 지역 종합일간지인 ‘충북일보’에서 기사 데이터를 받아 뉴스를 제공한다. According to increasing in number of smart phone subscribers to offer the convenience of users, wide range of applications in various fields have emerged. Recently, a lot of applications are being developed to provide a way of receiving information according to the user’s current location. Also. the news seems difficult to provide the necessary information among the numerous data. Especially, it is difficult to find the news that associated with the region. There are many applications that provide news, but there is no system to provide news information according to the user’s location information in domestic, so users not receive the news of the region. In this paper, we propose a news retrieval application which provides users with news around by using the location information of smart phone users. Because this system provides news of the region, it has the advantage to obtain the around information easily. The proposed system, whose name is ‘ChungbukN’, provides news that receives data at chungbuk comprehensive daily newspaper ‘Daily Chungbuk’.

        장애인 건강보건관리사업의 인식도와 중요도 연구: 보건소 지역사회중심재활사업 지원 활성화를 중심으로

        연구목적 : 본 연구는 경상남도 지역장애인보건의료센터에서 운영하는 장애인 건강보건관리사업의 인식도와 중요도를 조사하고, 보건소 지역사회중심재활사업(Community Based Rehabilitation, CBR)의 지원 활성화 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 경상남도 전체 시⋅군 20개 보건소의 CBR사업 담당자 20명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였다. 통계분석은 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 사용하였다. 연구결과 : 경상남도 지역장애인보건의료센터의 장애인 건강보건관리사업에 대한 인식도는 보건소 CBR사업연계 및 지원, 의료서비스 연계 및 지원이 가장 높았고, 중요도는 지역사회기반 보건의료-복지 전달체계 구축, 의료서비스 연계 및 지원이 가장 높았다. 장애인 건강보건관리사업의 인식도와 중요도가 대체로 긍정적으로 나타났지만 아직까지 연계현황은 인적⋅물적 자원의 부재, 기관 간 유기적 연계체계 부족 등의 이유로 미흡한 것으로 나타났다. 경상남도 지역장애인보건의료센터의 보건소 CBR사업 지원 활성화를 위해서는 기관 간 협력을 위한 업무 매뉴얼 개발과 관련기관이나 조직 등 공식 적인 연계망 형성이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 결론 : 경상남도 지역장애인보건의료센터의 장애인 건강보건관리사업 일환으로 기관의 역할을 정비하고, 기관 간 연계 활성화에 대한 근거를 처음으로 제시하였다. Objective : This study investigates the awareness and importance of the healthcare program operated by the Gyeongnam Regional Health & Medical Center for Persons with Disabilities(GDC), and explores options for effectively supporting Community Based Rehabilitation(CBR) in public health centers. Methods : With a questionnaire, we surveyed 20 participants who managed the CBR in Gyeongnam’s public health centers. All analyses were performed using SPSS 21.0. Results : The awareness of the healthcare program in GDC was high in theses areas: linkage and support of CBR, linkage and support medical services. The importance were perceived as high in these areas: development of community based healthcare-welfare delivery system, linkage and support medical services. Although the awareness and importance of GDC was positive, there was not enough linkage status due to the absence of human⋅material resources, the lack of linkage system among institutions. For the GDC to support the CBR more effectively, formal linkage systems for cooperation such as work manuals and organizational networks are needed. Conclusion : This study provides evidence for the first time to support defining roles clearly and increasing the linkage status among institutions of healthcare program in GDC.

        Fish bones are often ingested accidently. Most of them passes out through the gastrointestinal tract safely, but serious complications, such as perforation, abscess, obstruction, and bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, can occur. An ingested fish bone can be easily removed by endoscopy, and surgery is rarely required. However, there may be complications related to the endoscopic procedure including mucosal laceration, bleeding, fever, and perforation. Here, we report a case of retroperitoneal hemorrhage developed after endoscopic removal of a fish bone stuck in the duodenal wall, and then resolved spontaneously by conservative care. Ventilation is most desirable to lower carbon dioxide concentration but there are some cases when the ventilation is not applicable. In this study, carbon dioxide concentration control method using adsorbents was presented. The cation of zeolites were exchanged with various kinds of cations, and the carbon dioxide adsorption performance of the zeolites were studied. The various kinds of cations, solvents, and zeolites were introduced, and it was found that some cation-exchanged zeolites showed good carbon dioxide adsorption performances. It is expected that the obtained results will be used to lower carbon dioxide concentration of railroad passenger cabin.

        인지행동치료가 조현병 환자의 자아존중감에 미치는 영향에 대한 체계적 고찰

        목적 : 인지행동치료가 조현병 환자의 자아존중감에 미치는 영향에 대한 체계적 문헌 고찰을 통해 조현병 환자의 회복을 위한 높은 자아존중감의 중요성을 제시하고 인지행동치료의 효과에 대한 근거를 마련하고자 한다. 연구 방법 : 2012년부터 2021년 사이에 출판된 논문을 Pubmed, Google Scholar, RISS를 통해 검색하였고 ‘Schizophrenia’, ‘Cognitive behavioral therapy’, ‘Self-esteem’을 주요 검색어로 하여 총 3,176편의 연구 중 6편을 선정하였다. 분석 대상 논문들은 PICO-SD(Patient, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome, Study Design)의 원리에 의해 정리하였다. 결과 : 조현병 환자를 대상으로 한 인지행동치료는 인지행동 집단미술치료, 집단 및 개인 인지행동치료, 인지행동사회 기술훈련(Cognitive Behavioral Social Skills Training) 등 여러 중재 방법이 사용되었다. 선정된 모든 연구에서 인지행동치료가 자아존중감 향상에 상당한 개선을 보이는 유의한 효과가 있었다. 결론 : 본 연구에서는 조현병 환자의 자아존중감을 향상시킨 인지행동치료의 유의미한 중재 방법들과 효과를 제시했다. 향후 연구는 중재 프로그램의 범위를 확대하고, 중재의 깊이 있는 연구와 충분한 문헌의 확보가 이루어져야 할 것이다. Object : To present the importance of high self-esteem for the recovery of schizophrenic patients and lay the foundation for the effect of cognitive behavior therapy on self-esteem of schizophrenic patients through a systematic review. Method : Literatures published between 2012 and 2021 were searched through Pubmed, Google Scholar, and Riss, and six out of a total of 3,176 studies were selected with ‘schizophrenia’, ‘Cognitive behavioral therapy’, and ‘Self-esteem’ as the keywords. The literatures to be analyzed were organized according to the principles of PICO-SD (Patient, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome, Study Design). Result : Cognitive behavioral therapy for schizophrenic patients used various intervention methods such as cognitive behavioral group art therapy, group and individual cognitive behavioral therapy, and cognitive behavioral social skills training. In all selected studies, cognitive behavioral therapy had a significant effect of significantly improving self-esteem. Conclusion : In this study, significant intervention methods and effects of cognitive behavioral therapy that improved the self-esteem of schizophrenic patients were presented. Future research should expand the scope of intervention programs, and in-depth research on intervention and securing sufficient literature.
