Along with the changed power demand system, changes in consumer preferences are further shrinking the thermal energy storage system(TES) market. Moreover, due to the suspension of the subsidy system required for the supply of TES, the related equipment industry is in crisis. On the other hand, variable renewable energy(VRE), i.e., unbalanced power generation by a renewable energy utilization system is gradually increasing, and the need for the development of an energy storage system(ESS) is more urgent due to unbalanced demand. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the domestic and international status of TES and related incentives, and to prepare basic data that can help revitalize the TES industry in the future in line with the national energy supply and demand strategy based on carbon neutral.

This paper introduces the activities of experts in heating and cooling systems using TES(Thermal Energy Storage) in Korea, China, and Japan. The heating and cooling system using TES is a method used to improve building energy efficiency by using TES. Experts from Korea, China and Japan had made international network activities for for TES heating and cooling system since 2013. I would like to introduce the contents of expert forums in three countries, Japan, China and Korea, which were held online in 13<SUP>th</SUP> April 2021, and introduce the trends of energy situation and TES heating and cooling system of Japan, China and Korea.

Descale system such as FSB and RSB is an indispensable part in achieving the surface quality in the steel making process. Due to the ever-increasing demand to deliver high quality products used for a broader range of applications, descale system plays an critical role in securing quality of the surface. The purpose in this study is to remove the scale clearly and reduce the temperature difference in width direction of the strip. Through both the impact force and erosion test, it is possible to have a new descale nozzle more efficient in removing the scale from steel surfaces. Also, the temperature of the strip is generally appeared to be uniformly.
