관음신앙을 중심으로 본 근현대 한국 고승의 가피사례

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the types of Gapi (加被) of modern Buddhist Venerables in contemporary Koran Buddhism. The research scope is from the 1800s to the present. Among the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, we examined the cases of the Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva. Gapi can be roughly divided into three. ‘Present gapi’, ‘Dreaming gapi’ and ‘Invisibly influencing gapi’. The purpose of this study is to analyze the gapi characteristics of the modern Buddhist Venerables and to classify each case into the above categories and to investigate and analyze the oral data containing the experiences of them. It was possible to find out the aspects of their desires to appear different from those of the lay Buddhists in the modern Buddhist Venerables. This can be divided down as follows. First of all, unlike the lay Buddhists, the modern Buddhist Venerables’ wishes are made for all sentient being. If the gapi of the lay Buddhists was centered on their personal appeals, the gapi of the modern Buddhist Venerable was done on a grand scale, not on a personal level. Second, the gapi of the Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva is related to the foundation of Buddhist temples. The Sobaeksan Guinsa and the Munsusan Beopryunsa are good examples. Third, there is a characteristic that the gapi of the Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva appears in the artistic part. The art world clarified in this paper reveals a lot of calligraphy and stone carving works starting from the calligraphy received from the Buddha in the case of Im Hwan-gyeong. And in the case of Won-il, it can be confirmed that his work world takes place due to the wisdom of the present gapi and the dreaming gapi by the Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva. Fourth, the magical practice as the foundation of Enlightenment is due to the Invisibly influencing gapi of the Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva. Finally, it can be confirmed that the gapi of the Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva among modern Buddhist Venerables had a great influence on the development of Buddhism in modern Korea. The modern Buddhist Venerables, including Han Yong-un, Ahn Bok-ryeo-gwan, and Lee Un-heo, are good examples. 본 논문의 연구목적은 근현대 한국 고승의 가피사례를 고찰하여 출가자의 가피유형을 밝히는 데 있다. 연구 범위는 1800년대를 기점으로 하여 현대까지이며, 불교의 불·보살 가운데 관세음보살의 가피 사례를 중심으로 출가자의 경우를 조사하였다. 가피(加被)는 크게 세 가지로 나눌 수 있다. ‘현전(現前)가피’와 ‘몽중(夢 中)가피’, 그리고 ‘명훈(冥勳)가피’이다. 출가자의 가피 유형를 분석하기 위해 각각의 사례를 위 범주에 분류 후 그 출가자의 체험을 담고 있는 구술자료를 조사하여연구 및 분석하였다. 출가자에게 있어서 재가자와는 달리 나타나는 희구(希求)의양상(樣相)을 발견할 수 있었으며, 그들이 가피 체험 후 한국불교계에 끼친 영향에대한 것을 도출할 수 있었다. 이를 세분화하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 재가자와는 달리 출가자의 가피는 대원(⼤願) 속에서 이루어진다. 재가자의 가피가 개인적인 소구소원이 중심이었다면 출가자의 가피는 개인적 차원이 아니라 대승적 차원에서 이루어졌다. 둘째, 관세음보살의 가피는 절터, 즉 사찰의 창건과 관련이 깊다. 소백산 구인사와 문수산 법륜사가 그 좋은 예이다. 셋째, 예술적인 부분에서 관세음보살의 가피가 나타나는 특징이 있다. 본 논문에서 밝혀진 임환경의 예술세계는 부처님으로부터 받은 필력을 시작으로 수많은 서예와 석각 작품을 남겼으며, 원일 또한 관세음보살의 현몽과 가피 속에서 그의 작품세계가 이루어지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 넷째, 깨달음의 토대가 되는 주력수행은 관세음보살의 명훈가피에 해당된다. 끝으로 출가자의 관세음보살의 가피는 근현대 한국불교발전에 많은 영향을 끼쳤음을 확인할 수 있었다. 만해 한용운, 해월당 안봉려관, 동국역경원의 이운허가 대표적이다.

한국 관음신앙의 영속성 연구

본 논문은 『삼국유사』에 수록된 관음설화(觀音說話)를 토대로 하여 한국 관음신앙(觀音信仰)의 영속성(永續性)을 구명(究明)하고자 하였다. 법화(法華)관련 전적(典籍)의 유입과 함께 관음신앙이 전래되었으며, 한국 고대관음신앙 양상의 근간이 되는 『삼국유사』의 관음설화를 텍스트로 하여 그 영속성을 살펴보고자 한다. 이에 『삼국유사』에 수록된 관음설화와 근대 고승 및 재가불자의 관세음보살 가피 사례를 분석하여 양자 간에 일관된 관음신앙의 영속성이 존재함을 밝혔으며, 이는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사찰의 창건과 관련된 관음주처(觀音住處)의 불교적 이상세계의 설정이다. 관세음보살은 한국불교 1,600년에 걸쳐 이 땅에 상주한다는 믿음 아래 중생들을 위한 자비행을 보여준다. 이와 같은 맥락 속에서 둘째, 관세음보살의 시현을 통한 구원(救援)이다. 이는 불자들이 신행을 통해 관세음보살을 체험하였고 관세음보살을 중생의 귀의처이자 의지처로 믿었기 때문이다. 끝으로 관세음보살은 승속의 구분 없이 중생의 아픔을 치유해주는 치병제생(治病濟生)의 역할을 담당해 왔다. 달리 말해 치병제생의 구원재(救援財)의 속성은 관음신앙의 전래 이후 지속적이자 굳건한 믿음으로 현재까지 전해오는 것으로 사료된다. 불교의 다양한 보살신앙 활동의 추세 속에서도 관음신앙이 중생들의 보편적·대중적 불교신행으로 자리 잡은 것은 바로 이와 같은 영속성에 있다고 논자는 생각한다. This thesis attempted to clarify the permanence of the Avalokiteśvara Cult based on the Gwaneum-narrative(觀音說話) contained in 『Samgugyusa(三國遺事)』. Along with the influx of Buddhist scriptures related to Beophwa(法華), Avalokiteśvara Cult was transmitted in Korea. Therefore, the permanence of the Gwaneum-narrative of 『Samgugyusa』, which is the basis of the aspect of the ancient Avalokiteśvara Cult in Korea, was examined as a text. Therefore, by analyzing the Buddhist personally experienced stories of the Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva of modern Buddhist venerable and lay Buddhists, it is intended to clarify that there is a consistent persistence of the Avalokiteśvara Cult between the two. Through this study, the following conclusions could be drawn. First, the Gwaneum Jucheo(觀音住處) related to the establishment of the Buddhist temple as the Buddhist ideal space. The Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva shows compassion for sentient beings by residing in this land for 1,600 years in Korean Buddhism. In this context, the second is Sihyeon(示顯) of the Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva as Buddhists have experienced the true spirit of the Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva through their devotionals, and the Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva has been believed to be the refuge and will of regeneration. Lastly, the Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva has played a role in both healing the pain and saving life of sentient beings as Chibyeong Jesaeng(治病濟生) without distinction between Sangha and lay Buddhists. In other words, it is believed that an important part of the permanence of the Avalokiteśvara Cult is a salvation material for both healing the pain and saving life of sentient beings, which has been passed down since the transmission of the Avalokiteśvara Cult and with a steady and solid faith. The commentator believes that it is such permanence that the Avalokiteśvara Cult has established itself as a universal and popular Buddhist deity of regeneration, despite the trend of various Buddhist activities of Bodhisattva faith.

생명정보학을 이용한 전사인자의 하위표적유전자 분석에 관한 연구

연구 목적: 본 연구진은 초기 난포 발달 과정의 각 발달 단계별 난포를 분리하여 cDNA microarray를 이용한 유전자 발현 목록을 보유하고 있다. 본 연구는 이들 유전자 중에서 전사인자들의 목록에 주목하여 이들의 하위표적유전자를 생명정보학적 기법을 이용해 동정함으로써 이 후 초기난포발달의 조절 기전 연구를 위한 중요한 전사인자를 결정하고자 실시하였다. 재료 및 방법: 26개의 전사인자들에 대해서 Gene Ontology, MGI, 그리고 Entrez Gene 등의 유전자 데이터베이스 검색을 통해 전사인자들을 구성하는 도메인을 확인하였고, 전사인자 데이터베이스 ($TRANSFAC^{(R)}$ 6.0)와 진핵세포 프로모터 데이터베이스 검색을 실시하여, 전사인자의 cis-acting 및 trans-acting 하위표적유전자를 분석하였다. 결과: 26개 전사인자들에 대해서 DNA 결합 도메인과 단백질 상호작용 도메인을 확인하였다. 또 전사인자 데이터베이스와 프로모터 데이터베이스 검색으로부터 하위표적유전자에 대한 정보를 얻었다. 위와 같은 생명정보학적 분석 결과로부터 흥미로운 하위표적유전자를 갖는 3개의 전사인자로 목표를 압축할 수 있었다. 그 중에서 HNF4는 MPF 억제 조절자로 알려져 있는 Wee1 단백질 인산화 효소의 유사 유전자 프로모터 부위에 결합하는 전사인자이며, TBX2는 cdk 억제자 유전자의 발현을 억제하는 전사인자로 알려져 있어, 초기 난포발달 과정의 MPF 기능조절에 매우 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 사료된다. 결론: 본 연구는 생명정보학적 분석을 통하여 전사인자의 하위표적인자를 알아내고, 이를 이용하여 26개 전사인자 중에서 다음 연구를 위한 목표를 결정하는 접근방법을 제시했다는데 의미가 있다고 사료된다. 실제로 이렇게 결정된 전사인자들이 초기난포발달을 조절하는 분자생물학적 기전에 어떻게 관여하는지를 연구하기 위해서는 EMSA 등과 같은 실험적 증명을 통한 확인과 보충 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. Objective: In the previous study, we complied the differentially expressed genes during early folliculogenesis. Objective of the present study was to identify downstream target genes of transcription factors (TFs) using bioinformatics for selecting the target TFs among the gene lists for further functional analysis. Materials & Methods: By using bioinformatics tools, constituent domains were identified from database searches using Gene Ontology, MGI, and Entrez Gene. Downstream target proteins/genes of each TF were identified from database searches using TF database ($TRANSFAC^{(R)}$ 6.0) and eukaryotic promoter database (EPD). Results: DNA binding and trans-activation domains of all TFs listed previously were identified, and the list of downstream target proteins/genes was obtained from searches of TF database and promoter database. Based on the known function of identified downstream genes and the domains, 3 (HNF4, PPARg, and TBX2) out of 26 TFs were selected for further functional analysis. The genes of wee1-like protein kinase and p21WAF1 (cdk inhibitor) were identified as potential downstream target genes of HNF4 and TBX2, respectively. PPARg, through protein-protein interaction with other protein partners, acts as a transcription regulator of genes of EGFR, p21WAF1, cycD1, p53, and VEGF. Among the selected 3 TFs, further study is in progress for HNF4 and TBX2, since wee1-like protein kinase and cdk inhibitor may involved in regulating maturation promoting factor (MPF) activity during early folliculogenesis. Conclusions: Approach used in the present study, in silico analysis of downstream target genes, was useful for analyzing list of TFs obtained from high-throughput cDNA microarray study. To verify its binding and functions of the selected TFs in early folliculogenesis, EMSA and further relevant characterizations are under investigation.

Synthesis of Vinyl Sulfones via I2‐mediated Alkene Sulfonylations with Thiosulfonates

A simple sulfonylation strategy involving I2 and thiosulfonates, as sulfonyl‐group precursors, is reported for the synthesis of vinyl sulfones. Sulfonyl radicals are presumed to be generated from thiosulfonates, which subsequently react with styrene or cinnamic acid derivatives to afford a variety of vinyl sulfones under the described reaction conditions. Detailed conditions, the substrate scope, and mechanistic studies are discussed.
