Diversity and Spatial Distribution of Surname Structure in South Korea

We studied the population structure of South Korea by using the distributions of surnames for all 246 administrative regions. Every 4,177 surnames are distinguished by their bon-gwan which indicates the place of their family clans. Using Fisher’s Alpha, we found that the level of inbreeding increases as the distance from the capital Seoul increases. We introduced the Shannon index to measure the level of spatial diffusion for each surname population, and the geographical clusters based on similarities of the surname compositions among the regions show almost exact agreement with those at the administrative districts.

한국과 일본 수목장의 의식비교를 통한 한국의 적합한 수목장에 대한 연구 ─ 설문조사 분석을 중심으로 ─

한국의 장묘 방법의 대부분은 매장묘지와 납골당묘지로 임야에서 이루어지고 있으며 국토 및 임야의 효율적 이용 면에서 심각한 문제가 대두되고 있다. 매장묘지의 제반 문제를 해결하기 위해서 정부 (산림 청), 지방자치단체 (인천광역시), 종교법인 (은회사)에서는 새로운 장묘 방법인 수목장을 조성하여 운영 하기시작하였다. 한국과 일본의 수목장에 대한 의식비교 설문조사 결과에 따르면, 80% 이상이 기존의 매장묘지 및 납골당묘지의 문제점을 인식하고 있었다. 그러나 아직까지 한국은 장묘문화에 대한 제반 문 제점이 산적해 있고, 수목장에 대한 전문가가 없는 상태에서 관리 및 운영이 이루어지고 있어 국민들의 기대와 요구에 부응한 기능 발휘를 할 수 없는 상태이다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해, 환경 친화적 인 수목장은 새로운 장묘 문화로의 전환이다. 일본의 이와테켄 이치노세키시에 위치한 知勝院의 경우에 는 수목장 조성이 지역 정주 환경 개선에 영향을 주었고, 살기 좋은 마을 100선에 선정되어 관광객의 증가는 물론 지역경제소득 창출에도 좋은 영향을 미치고 있다. 본 연구에서는 상주시를 대상으로 사회 환경 변화와 산림의 다양한 기능 발휘를 통해 지역 활성화에 기여하고 지역 주민과 공존할 수 있는 지 역 상황에 적합한 수목장 조성의 필요성에 대하여 연구하였다. In Korea, most of the locations of the cemeteries and burial vault are in forest lands. The utilization of forest land for this particular purpose is very inefficent and considered to be a serious problem. National government (Forest Service), local governments (Incheon city), and religious corporation (eunhoe Temple) are creating new burial methods to solve the inefficiency in forest utilization. In this study, awareness of Koreans and Japaneses on tree burial problems were compared. Based from the results of the survey, more than 80% of the respondents are aware of the problems. However, the burial culture in Korea still has many problems. Operation and management of tree burial is not being done by experts and sufficient information regarding to this type of burial still needs to developed. To solve these problems, eco-friendly burial, which is considered as new funeral culture, is now being created. In the case of Ichinoseki City in Iwate prefecture in Japan, improving the residential environment greatly affected the tree burial practices. This town was chosen for this study due to its characteristics of being a tourism area which greatly affecting the economy of this town. Another study site of this study was located in Sangju city. The changing social environement and the perception of the people regarding on the services being provided to the people were examined thru questionnaire survey. Specifically, this study analyzed the practices and beliefs of the people regarding the tree burial culture.

시내 버스 데이터와 고속도로 요금소간 통행 데이터를 활용한 전염병 확산 시뮬레이션

지역적인 규모와 전국적인 규모가 함께 고려된 교통 네트워크에 기반하여 전염병 확산 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 시내버스 데이터를 활용한 읍면동 행정구역 단위의 지역적인 그리고 고속도로 통행 데이터를 이용한 시군구 행정구역 단위의 전국적인 인구 이동을 가늠할수 있는 교통 네트워크를 구성하였다. 읍면동 행정구역 단위의 인구 집단 내에서 SIR 모델에 따라 감염자 수의 증감이 결정되고 교통 네트워크를 통해 지역간 감염자의 확산이 이루어 진다. 시뮬레이션 결과 지역적인 교통 네트워 크만 고려된 상황에서는 순차적으로 이웃 지역 으로 퍼져나가는 감염 확산 페턴이 보이는 반면, 전국적인 교통 네트워크가 함께 고려된 상황에서는 좀 더 빠르고 먼 지역으로 건너뛰는 전염 확산 패턴이 보인다.

한국형 통합 커뮤니케이션 모델 연구를 위한 시스템 기능과 만족도 조사 분석

In most cases, the daily-work of Korean people require information sharing and collaboration. Companies have been seeking ways to assist this requirement to enhance the productivity and recently many companies in Korea apply the unified communications systems as a way of support. However, in most cases, most of the systems depend on the unified communications systems provided by some leading foreign companies and theses systems can't fully reflect the level of IT environment or work-style of Korean workers. In other hand, per hour productivity of Korea still scores very low among OECD member nations. Accordingly, it is necessary to develop a unified communications system model which would provide suitable functions and service tailored for the advanced IT environment and work-system of Korea. This research, shows how current systems are used companies in Korea then a survey was asked the various professionals in IT and staff & employees on the functions and degree of satisfaction from the current system in order for building a Korean-model of unified communications system. As a result, a solution has been developed based on the analysis of the studies. Consequently, it is aimed to build a Korean model for unified communications system that would improve the productivity and compatibility of the companies in Korea. 통상적으로 기업 구성원의 업무 수행 중 많은 부분에서 상호간의 정보 공유와 협업이 필요하다. 기업에서는 구성원의 업무 생산성을 높이기 위해 이러한 업무 형태를 돕기 위한 다양한 노력과 지원을 하고 있다. 최근 많은 국내의 기업들도 이러한 노력의 일환으로 통합 커뮤니케이션(unified communications, 이하 UC) 시스템을 도입하고 있다. 하지만 대부분의 경우 외국의 유명 IT(information technology) 회사에서 제공하는 시스템에 의존하고 있어 국내의 IT 환경 수준과 업무 형태를 잘 반영하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 한편, 한국 기업 근로자의 시간당 업무 생산성은 여전히 OECD국가 중 하위에 머무르고 있다. 따라서 한국의 발전된 IT 환경과 업무 실정에 적합한 기능과 서비스를 제공하는 통합커뮤니케이션 시스템의 모델에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 현재 국내 기업들이 사용하고 있는 UC 시스템들에 대한 사용 현황을 조사, 정리하였다. 그리고 한국형 UC 시스템의 모델을 구축하기 위해 IT 업무 종사자와 현업의 임직원을 대상으로 현 시스템들에서 제공하는 기능과 만족도에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그리고 설문조사 결과에 대한 분석을 통하여 개선방안을 제시하였다. 향후 이러한 개선방안을 토대로 하여 국내 기업의 업무 생산성 경쟁력을 높일 수 있는 한국형 UC 시스템의 모델을 구축하고자 한다.
