In this paper, a novel guided-mode resonances (GMRs) based embedded dual-wavelength filter, which had the bilayer gratings located at the two sides of dielectric substrate and arranged at asymmetric position, was investigated and studied theoretically. As compared to symmetric structures that usually provided single wavelength of transmission resonance, as one normal incidence was used for transverse magnetic polarized light, the designed asymmetric structure could generate two remarkable narrow band wavelengths of transmission resonance. The parameters to affect the resonance wavelengths and the transmission resonance Q value (Q = λ/Δλ) of two bands were the distance between the two metallic gratings, the relatively lateral positions of the upper and lower gratings, the number of structure period, the thicknesses of metallic gratings, and the thickness of dielectric film. By optimizing the designed parameters, a GMR device with two resonance wavelengths located at 1239 and 1302 nm showed relative optimal performance because they had high transmission depth (99.9% and 90%) and ultra-narrow transmission bandwidth (2.8 and 1.8 nm) at the two resonance wavelengths. The presented structure can offer a potential route towards dual-band narrow-band filters and refractive index sensors in the near infrared.

Background: Evidence suggests that the rs11615 (C>T) polymorphism in the ERCC1 gene may be a risk factor for gynecological tumors. However, results have not been consistent. Therefore we performed this meta-analysis. Methods: Eligible studies were identified by search of PubMed, MEDLINE and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI). Odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were applied to assess associations between rs11615 (C>T) and gynecological tumor risk. Heterogeneity among studies was tested and sensitivity analysis was applied. Results: A total of 6 studies were identified, with 1,766 cases and 2,073 controls. No significant association was found overall between rs11615 (C>T) polymorphism and gynecological tumors susceptibility in any genetic model. In further analysis stratified by cancer type, significantly elevated ovarian cancer risk was observed in the homozygote and recessive model comparison (TT vs. CC: OR=1.69, 95% CI=1.03-2.77, heterogeneity=0.876; TT vs. CT/CC: OR=1.72, 95% CI=1.07-2.77, heterogeneity=0.995). Conclusion: The results of the present meta-analysis suggest that there is no significant association between the rs11615 (C>T) polymorphism and gynecological tumor risk, but it had a increased risk in ovarian cancer.

The numerical simulations for the Vortex-induced Vibration (VIV) of the cylinders with different combinations of mass ratio and frequency ratio were performed under the Reynolds (Re) number ranges of 1450e10200, 5800e40800 and 13050e91800 by using the embedded programs in OpenFoam. By combining with the modified SST k u turbulence model, the coupled Unsteady Reynolds-Averaged NaviereStokes equations and double-degree-of-freedom vibration equations were solved. After analyzing the results, it is found that the some characteristics of the VIV have changed with the increase of the range of Re number, and the effects of Re number on vibration characteristics are also different under different combinations of mass ratio and frequency ratio. On this basis, the influence law of Re number on the characteristics of VIV of the cylinders is summarized, which can provide a reference for the research of VIV under higher Re number.

This paper considers the topic of the observer-based non-fragile mixed passivity and H∞ state feedback control for time-varying delay and norm-bounded parameter uncertainties fuzzy stochastic Markovian jump system subject to quantized measurements. The aim of this paper is to provide a suitable observer-based non-fragile state feedback controller to enhance stochastic stabilization of the closed-loop system and satisfy mixed passivity and H∞ performance. By constructing mode-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, novel conditions are achieved in virtue of linear matrix inequalities. Two examples including truck-trailer model are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the developed method.

Interference mitigation is a significant issue in the cognitive heterogeneous networks, this paper studied how to reduce the interference to macrocell users (MU) and improve system throughput. Establish the interference model with imperfect spectrum sensing by analyzing the source of interference complexity. Based on the user topology, the optimize problem was built to maximize the downlink throughput under given interference constraint and the total power constraint. We decompose the resource allocation problem into subcarrier allocation and power allocation. In the subcarrier assignment step, the allocated number of subcarriers satisfies the requirement of the femtocell users (FU).Then, we designed the power allocation algorithm based on the Lagrange multiplier method and the improved water filling method. Simulation results and performance analyses show that the proposed algorithm causes less interference to MU than the algorithm without considering imperfect spectrum sensing, and the system achieves better throughput performance.

Matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-2 and MMP-9 are important proteases involved in invasion and metastasis of various tumors. Extra-gastrointestinal stromal tumors (EGISTs) are rare neoplasms. This study was performed to assess MMP-2 and MMP-9 expression in EGIST tissue samples for association with clinicopathological data from the patients. Twenty-one surgical EGIST tissue specimens were collected for analysis of MMP-2 and MMP-9 expression using immunohistochemistry. MMP-2 and MMP-9 proteins were expressed in all of the epithelial cell types of EGISTs, whereas they were only expressed in 75% of the spindle cell type, although there was no statistically significant difference (p>0.05). Expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 proteins was associated with tumor size, mitotic rate, tumor necrosis, and distant metastasis (p<0.05). MMP-2 expression was linked with MMP-9 levels (p<0.05). However, there was no correlation between MMP-9 expression and age, sex, primary site, or cell morphology in any of these 21 EGIST patients (p>0.05). Moreover, expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 proteins increased with the degree of EGIST risk. This study provided evidence of an association of MMP-2 and MMP-9 expression with advanced EGIST behavior.

In our previous studies, we have identified several in vivo-induced antigens and evaluated their potential as subunit vaccine candidates in a murine model, in which the recombinant protein GalT showed the most potent immunogenicity and immunoprotective efficacy against Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae. To exploit a more efficient way of delivering GalT proteins, in this study, we employed the widely studied E. coli outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) as a platform to deliver GalT protein and performed the vaccine trial using the recombinant GalTOMVs in the murine model. Results revealed that GalT-OMVs could elicit a highly-specific, IgG antibody titer that was comparable with the adjuvant GalT group. Significantly higher lymphocyte proliferation and cytokines secretion levels were observed in the GalT-OMVs group. 87.5% and 50% of mice were protected from a lethal dose challenge using A. pleuropneumoniae in active or passive immunization, respectively. Histopathologic and immunohistochemical analyses showed remarkably reduced pathological changes and infiltration of neutrophils in the lungs of mice immunized with GalT-OMVs after the challenge. Taken together, these findings confirm that OMVs can be used as a platform to deliver GalT protein and enhance its immunogenicity to induce both humoral and cellular immune responses in mice.
Research on Whole‑Process Tensile Behavior of Headed Studs in Steel–Concrete Composite Structures
Liang?Dong Zhuang,Hong?Bing Chen,Yuan Ma,Ran Ding 한국콘크리트학회 2021 International Journal of Concrete Structures and M Vol.15 No.4
The headed studs have been widely applied in steel–concrete composite structures as shear connectors. However, the tensile performance of headed studs is also key to the structural performance in many cases such as the semi-rigid composite joints including steel beam–concrete wall joint and steel column–base joint. Therefore, this study presents experimental and analytical study on the whole-process tensile behavior of headed studs. Tests on a total of 33 pullout specimens are first conducted. The tensile capacity and load–deformation behavior of the anchorage concrete, which dominates the structural performance of headed studs, are thoroughly analyzed. In addition, test data in the literature are collected for quantitatively evaluating the influence of embedment depth, bearing area, boundary conditions, and concrete strength on the tensile behavior of the anchorage concrete. On the basis of the influence evaluation, an analytical model represented by a piecewise function is proposed to describe the whole-process load–deformation behavior of the anchorage concrete and validated through the comparison between the predicted curves and all collected experimental results. Then the proposed model is applied to simulate the rotational behavior of the typical semi-rigid joint anchored by headed studs, which takes the contribution of the anchorage concrete into consideration, and is verified by experimental results. The research findings indicate that tensile behavior of anchorage concrete is crucial to the structural performance of semi-rigid joints, even for headed studs with large embedment depth and bearing area.
