Longtan Wang,Zhitao Wang,Ho-Yun Yu,Hwi-Myung Ha,Yun-Ki Kim,Jang-Myung Lee 제어로봇시스템학회 2015 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2015 No.10
This paper presents a vision guided robot for recognizing and grasping moving objects on the conveyor belt. An industrial camera is utilized to capture the image of moving objects. A robust vision system is applied for recognizing and estimating the moving object in real time. Objects are recognized by using SURF(Speeded-Up Robust Features) key point detector and FLANN(Fast Library for Approximate Nearest Neighbor) based matcher. Then Rotating calipers algorithm is adopted to estimate the centroid position and orientation of the objects. A simple path planning scheme will thus be assigned based on the information obtained from vision system. Experimental result demonstrates that the approach is efficient and reliable.
Numerical Simulation of Seismic Waves with Peak Arrival Time and Amplitude-Frequency Correlation
Xu Han,Zhitao Wang,Ling-yun Peng,Jingyu Su,Lihua Wang 대한토목학회 2019 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.23 No.10
To improve the accuracy with which the non-stationary intensity characteristics of artificial acceleration-time-history curves are determined, a method of adjusting the frequency correlation between the artificial peak arrival time and amplitude spectrum is proposed. A calculation method for determining the peak arrival time to reflect the physical meaning of the phase-differenc espectrum was first deduced. Subsequently, the amplitude-distribution characteristics corresponding to the peak arrival times for different durations of natural earthquakes were analyzed. In accordance with the distribution characteristics of the reference amplitude, the frequency distribution of the artificial peak arrival time was divided into four parts: the beginning, strong-earthquake, attenuation, and tail sections. By adjusting the arrival frequency of peak points for the different earthquake durations considered, the corresponding relationship between the artificial peak arrival time and amplitude spectrum was determined to be more consistent with the general law of natural earthquakes. The sample calculation described in this paper demonstrates that adjusting the frequency correspondence between the artificial peak arrival time and amplitude spectrum greatly improves the accuracy of the non-stationary intensity characteristics of artificial acceleration-time-history curves.
A Robust Approach for Overlay Text Localization and Extraction in Complex Video Scene
Jingfan Tang,Zhitao Li,Xingqi Wang,Ming Jiang,Ziyang Li 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.11 No.10
Overlay text in video carries important semantic clues for video information retrieval and summarization. In this paper, we propose a robust method that is able to accurately locate text lines and extract text even in complex video scene. In the text localization stage, this paper adopts the method based on corner point. First, corner detection is used to extract corners as text features from video frames. Then multi-layer filtering mechanism (MLFM) is used to locate the text lines, which consists of corners clustering, corners horizontal projection, background filtering and heuristic rules. This MLFM can effectively remove the isolated corners, locate the text lines accurately and remove the background or pseudo text lines automatically. In the text extraction stage, this paper proposed a twice binarization method that combines with polarity judgment on image. The polarity judgment was used as a guide to adjust the first binarization threshold when we perform the first binarization. After the first binarization, a main proportion of the image has been processed, and the rest will be processed by the second binarization. Experimental results show that this approach can fast and robustly locate text lines and extract text in video even under complex background.

Currently, killed-virus and modified-live porcinereproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV)vaccines are used to control porcine reproductive andrespiratory syndrome. However, both types of vaccines haveinherent drawbacks; accordingly, the development of novelPRRSV vaccines is urgently needed. Previous studies havesuggested that yeast possesses adjuvant activities, and it hasbeen used as an expression vehicle to elicit immune responsesto foreign antigens. In this report, recombinantKluyveromyces lactis expressing GP5 of HP-PRRSV(Yeast-GP5) was generated and immune responses to thisconstruct were analyzed in mice. Intestinal mucosalPRRSV-specific sIgA antibody and higher levels of IFN-γ inspleen CD4+ and CD8+ T cells were induced by oraladministration of Yeast-GP5. Additionally, Yeast-GP5administered subcutaneously evoked vigorous cell-mediatedimmunity, and PRRSV-specific lymphocyte proliferationand IFN-γ secretion were detected in the splenocytes of mice. These results suggest that Yeast-GP5 has the potential foruse as a vaccine for PRRSV in the future.
Nanocomposites of Polypropylene and Halloysite Nanotubes Prepared by a Novel Vane Mixer
Xiaochun Yin,Sai Li,Liang Wang,Guangjian He,Zhitao Yang 한국고분자학회 2017 폴리머 Vol.41 No.2
Halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) were used to prepare polypropylene (PP) nanocomposites through a novel vane mixer. The effects of melt blend time and halloysite content on properties of composites were investigated. SEM analysis was performed to show that HNTs were well dispersed in PP matrix with the increase of mixing time. DSC showed both the degree of crystallinity and crystallization temperature increased due to the introduction of HNTs into PP, which indicating a potential nucleation effect induced by the nanotubes. TGA illustrated that the presence of HNTs had two opposite effects on the thermal behavior. A surface catalytic action of the halloysite speeded up thermal degradation of PP. However, this effect was reduced with improved HNTs dispersion. Rheological investigations revealed that rheological properties were significantly increased by the addition of low fraction of halloysite to PP. The 2 wt% HNTs nanocomposites reached maximum tensile strength because HNTs dispersed evenly in PP.
Influence of Solution Concentrations on Surface Morphology and Wettability of ZnO Thin Films
Jianguo Lv,Changlong Liu,Feng Wang,Zhitao Zhou,Zhenfa Zi,Yuan Feng,Xiaoshuang Chen,Feng Liu,Gang He,Shiwei Shi,Xueping Song,Zhaoqi Sun 대한금속·재료학회 2013 ELECTRONIC MATERIALS LETTERS Vol.9 No.2
ZnO thin films were grown on silicon substrates using a hydrothermal method. The XRD patterns show that all of the peaks can be attributed to the wurtzite structures of ZnO. The TC value of (002) plane and average crystal size increase first and then decrease with the increase of solution concentration. SEM and AFM results show that many dense hexagonal cylinder particles have been observed on the surface of the thin films, which grown at 0.08 and 0.10 mol/L. The surface roughness of the thin films deposited at 0.06,0.08, 0.10, and 0.12 mol/L are 24.5, 38.3, 32.0, and 39.4 nm, respectively. Surface wettability results show that the preferential orientation along c-axis and surface roughness contribute significantly to the hydrophobicity. The reversible switching between hydrophobicity and hydrophilicity is related to the synergy of the transition of wetting model, surface crystal structure, and surface roughness.

Objective: To assess the safety and effectiveness of percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy (PELD) under epidural anesthesia (EA) and general anesthesia (GA) for treating lumbar disc herniation (LDH). Methods: A retrospective study involving 86 patients with LDH managed by PELD under EA and GA was conducted from July 2018 to March 2019. These patients were divided into 2 groups according to the type of anesthesia. Patient’s demographics data as well as the operation time, complications, fluoroscopy shots, visual analog scale (VAS), Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA), and MacNab scores of the 2 groups were recorded. All of the patients were followed-up at 6 months after operation. Results: There were no significant differences were detected in the preoperative demographics between the groups (p>0.05). Two cases (4.8%) under GA developed transient motor weakness, 3 cases (7.4%) presented numbness of lower limb, and 1 case (2.4%) had cauda equina syndrome after operation. In EA group, 1 case (2.2%) had motor weakness and 3 cases (6.7%) had lower limb numbness, which resolved completely at the last follow-up. There was significant difference between preoperative VAS, JOA, and ODI scores and postoperative scores (p<0.01). Moreover, there were no differences in the operation time, fluoroscopy shots, and MacNab scores between the 2 groups (p>0.05). Conclusion: EA and GA in PELD are effective and safe, and no significant difference in complications was observed. Based on our experience, we recommended junior surgeons to perform PELD under EA for getting feedback from the patient to avoid nerve injury and reduce the radiation dose. The concentration of ropivacaine in EA should be considered carefully.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Our previous study demonstrated that Pacific white shrimp (<I>Litopenaeus vannamei</I>) infected by multiple pathogens showed higher mortality and death occurred more quickly than those infected by a single pathogen (Jang et?al., 2014). For better understanding the defense mechanism against white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) and <I>Vibrio anguillarum</I>, immune responses of shrimp were evaluated in this study. The mRNA expression levels of five immune-related genes were analyzed by quantitative reverse real-time PCR, which included proPO-activating enzyme 1 (PPAE1), PPAE2, proPO activating factor (PPAF), masquerade-like serine proteinase (Mas) and ras-related nuclear gene (Ran). Results demonstrated that the transcription was suppressed more intensively in the multiple infection group than those in single infection groups. The transcriptional suppression was directly related to the higher mortality. The hypoimmunity could benefit pathogen invasion, replication and release of toxin <I>in?vivo</I>.
