흰쥐에서 Iodine-131-Iododeoxyadenosine 의 생체분포 및 유방암 영상화에 관한 연구

Purpose: I-131 labeled (2'-deoxy-2-iodo-β-D-arabinofuranosyl) adenine (IAD) may be involved in DNA synthesis during active proliferation of tumor cells. We conducted this study to find out the biodistribution of IAD and its feasibility for scintigraphic tumor imaging. Materisls and Methods: Tosyl acetyl-adenosine was dissolved in acetonitrile, and I-131-NaI was added and heated to synthesize IAD. Female Fisher 344 rats innoculated with breast tumor cells were injected witb 0.27 MBq of IAD. Rats were sacrificed at 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 24h and the % of injected dose per gram of tissue (%ID/g) was determined. For scintigraphy, rats bearing breast cancer were administered with 1.11 MBq of IAD and imaging was perforrned after 2 and 24h. Then, rat body was fixed and rnicrotomized slice was placed on radiographic film for autoradiography, Results: %ID/g of tumor wa.' 0.74 (0.5h), 0.73 (1h), 0.55 (2h), 0.38 (4h), and 0.05 (24h), respectively. At 1h after injection, %ID/g of tumor was higher than that of heart (0.34), liver (0.42), spleen (0.47), kidney (0,69), muscle (0.14), bone (0.33) and intestine (0.51). However, %1D/g of tumor was lower than blood (1.06), lung (0.77), and thyroid (177.71). At 4h, %ID/g of tumor in comparison with other tissue did not change. Tumor contrast expressed by tumor to blood ratio was 0.69 and tumor to muscle ratio was 5.11 at 1h. However, these ratios did not improve through 24h. On autoradiogram and scintigraphy at 2 and 24 hour, the tumor was well visualized. Conclusion: This results suggest that Ial) may have a potential for tumor scintigraphy. However, further work is needed to improve localization in tumor tissue. (Korean J Nucl Med 1998;32:374-81)

A major polyphenolic compound extracted from omija (Schisandra chinensis) fruit was structurally identified, and its composition of major nutrients was investigated as well in this study. A dominating high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) peak of water-extracted anthocyanin represented 94.1% of total absorbable compounds at 520 nm, which was further identified with HPLC-mass spectrometry (MS). As a result, mass-to-charge ratio (m/z) of the predominant anthocyanin was determined to be 727, and it was identical to molecular mass of cyanidin-3-xylosylrutinoside (Cya-3-O-xylrut). This is the first report that colorant of omija is predominantly composed of Cya-3-O-xylrut. Omija fruit contained exclusively 3 types of monosaccharide such as glucose (0.68 g), galactose (0.01 g), and fructose (0.52 g) per 100 g of fruits. Several organic acids, citric (3.29 g), malic (1.4 g), acetic (0.4 g), and succinic acids (0.36 g) per 100 g of fruits, were detected by high performance anion exchange chromatography (HPAEC) analysis. During the compositional analysis of free amino acid by HPLC, it was noticed that omija fruit contained substantial amount (0.01 g/100 g of fruits) of γ-amino butyric acid (GABA).
Metabolic Syndrome Is an Independent Risk Factor for Acquired Premature Ejaculation

Purpose: To determine the role of metabolic syndrome (MetS) as a risk factor for acquired premature ejaculation (PE) after considering the various risk factors, such as lower urinary tract symptoms, erectile dysfunction, hypogonadism, and prostatitis. Materials and Methods: From January 2012 to January 2017, records of 1,029 men were analyzed. We performed multivari-ate analysis to identify risk factors for PE, including the covariate of age, marital status, International Prostate Symptom Score, International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) score, National Institutes of Health-Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index (NIH-CPSI) score, serum testosterone levels, and all components of MetS. Acquired PE was defined as self-reported intravaginal ejacula-tion latency time ≤3 minutes, and MetS was diagnosed using the modified National Cholesterol Education Program Adult Treatment Panel III criteria. Results: Of 1,029 men, 74 subjects (7.2%) had acquired PE and 111 (10.8%) had MetS. Multivariate analysis showed that the IIEF overall satisfaction score (odds ratio [OR]=0.67, p<0.001), NIH-CPSI pain score (OR=1.07, p=0.035), NIH-CPSI voiding score (OR=1.17, p=0.032), and presence of MetS (OR=2.20, p=0.022) were significantly correlated with the prevalence of acquired PE. In addition, the Male Sexual Health Questionnaire for Ejaculatory Dysfunction scores and ejaculation anxiety scores progressively decreased as the number of components of MetS increased. Conclusions: MetS may be an independent predisposing factor for the development of acquired PE. Effective prevention and treatment of MetS could also be important for the prevention and treatment of acquired PE.

This study estimated the influence of `the separation of prescribing and dispensing roles` (SPD) policy, which implemented in July 2000, on the community pharmacies in Korea, by using data on the revenues and expenditures in the previous researches. We first assumed the rate of drug price differential was 20% with four different models which was based on various data of studies carried out in the similar period. Later, we applied different rates for the sensitivity analysis. According to the results, all community pharmacies made the net profit of 118.9 billion won (0.552 million won monthly per one pharmacy) after the SPD policy. The ratio of net profit to net sales dropped by 7.41%~ from 22.19% to 14.78%. Additional sensitivity analysis indicated there were wide range of differences about whether net profit or net gain, and that extent which either existed.
