In recent years, many plant extracts have been used as green corrosion inhibitors to replace traditionalcorrosion inhibitors, but their inhibition performance still needs to be improved. The synergistic corrosioninhibition behavior and mechanism of maple leaves extract (MLE) and potassium iodide (KI) onQ235 steel in 0.5 M H2SO4 solution were firstly investigated in this work. The results demonstrate thatboth MLE and KI can prevent the corrosion of steel in corrosive media, and that their combined protectioneffect is superior. The corrosion inhibition efficiency (g) value reaches 93.4 % in corrosive solution withthe combination of 200 mg/L MLE and 200 mg/L KI, while the maximum of g is only 81.6 % using MLEalone. In addition, Fe-N bond and Fe-O bond were found on the steel surface through the X-ray photoelectronspectroscopy (XPS) analysis, which confirm the formation of a protective film. The adsorption behaviorof an inhibitory film composed of MLE and KI mixtures onto steel surface follows the Langmuiradsorption isotherm model, consisting of physisorption and chemisorption. Finally, molecular dynamics(MD) simulation indicates that inhibitor molecules can adsorb on the Fe substrate in a parallel way withhigh binding energy values, which supports the experiments well.

The synthesis of aqueous MPA-capped CdTe quantum dots (QDs) via a facile one-pot route was developed. The particle size, optical properties and crystal structure of the as-synthesis QDs were investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), UV-vis absorption and photoluminescence (PL) spectra, respectively. Meanwhile, the effect of reaction conditions, including reaction time, pH and the quantity of sodium citrate (SC) on the growth of CdTe QDs were discussed. Then, the obtained CdTe QDs were successfully used for the detection of trace Cu2+ with high sensitivity and excellent selectivity. The fluorescence intensity of CdTe QDs with Cu2+ concentration showed a linear relationship in the range from 1 x 10 -7 mol/L to 1 x 10 -6 mol/L. The correlation coefficient (R) is 0.9980 and limit of detection (LOD) is 1.0 x 10 -8 mol/L. Moreover, the concentration of Cu2+ in tap water samples was determined based on this sensing system and the recovery test was satisfactory.

In this paper, we propose an approach to realize substrate integrated waveguide (SIW)-based leaky-wave antennas (LWAs) supporting continuous beam scanning from backward to forward above the cutoff frequency. First, through phase delay analysis, it was found that SIWs with straight transverse slots support backward and forward radiation of the -1-order mode with an open-stopband (OSB) in between. Subsequently, by introducing additional longitudinal slots as parallel components, the OSB can be suppressed, leading to continuous beam scanning at least from -40 degrees through broadside to 35 degrees. The proposed method only requires a planar structure and obtains less dispersive beam scanning compared with a composite right/left-handed (CRLH) LWA. Both simulations and measurements verify the intended beam scanning operation while verifying the underlying theory.

A Ratiometric Fluorescent Assay for Fluazinam Based on FRET Between CdTe Quantum Dots and Porphyrin
Yue Wang,DANQUN HUO,Huixiang Wu,Hui Liu,Junjie Li 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2017 NANO Vol.12 No.10
A fluorescent detection system for fluazinam was reported using fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) method based on CdTe quantum dots (CdTe QDs) and 5, 10, 15, 20-tetrakis(4-methacryloyloxy) phenyl porphyrin (TMaPP). TMaPP and water-soluble CdTe QDs were synthesized successfully and characterized using FT-IR, 1H NMR, XPS and TEM, respectively. FRET mechanism between CdTe QDs and TMaPP was confirmed by detailed studies on their fluorescent spectra. After a co-culture of TMaPP and CdTe QDs, fluorescent intensity of CdTe QDs decreased significantly while that of TMaPP increased concomitantly due to altered FRET. Addition of fluazinam led to impaired energy transfer from CdTe QDs to TMaPP and therefore fluorescence recovery of CdTe QDs with fluorescence quenching of TMaPP. The correlation of fluazinam concentration with the fluorescence intensity ratio FQDs / FTMaPP provided the basis for quantitative analysis, and a broad linear range varying from 0.01 μM to 5 μM with a low detection limit of 2.3 nM was obtained. As-reported sensor system demonstrated excellent reproducibility, selectivity and sensitivity in real sample detection.
Effect of Diallyl Trisulfide on the Pharmacokinetics of Dipyridamole in Rats
Yue Wang,Gang Cheng,Meijuan Zou,Nan Zhao,Jungang Ren,Hong Zhou 대한약학회 2011 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.34 No.11
This study was aimed to evaluate the effect of diallyl trisulfide (DATS), a major component derived from garlic used to inhibit platelet thromboxane formation, on the pharmacokinetics of dipyridamole. Pharmacokinetic parameters of dipyridamole were determined in rats following intragastric (80 mg/kg suspension or 40 mg/kg solution) or intravenous (3 mg/kg) administration of dipyridamole with coadministration (20 mg/kg) and long-term pretreatment of DATS (10 or 20 mg/kg/day for 15 consecutive days). In addition, everted gut sac models were used to assess transepithelial transport of dipyridamole and the effect of DATS on the intestinal absorption of dipyridamole. After coadministration and long-term pretreatment of DATS, significantly lower C_max and AUC_(0–240 h were observed for intragastric administration of dipyridamole, whereas little change was noted after intravenous dipyridamole administration. After adding DATS (10 and 50 μg/mL) in the everted gut sacs, absorption of dipyridamole was remarkably decreased in the ileum and jejunum (p < 0.01). In conclusion, DATS reduced the oral exposure of dipyridamole in rats likely by the modification of the dissolution rate and intestinal absorption of dipyridamole, indicating that combined use of DATS or DATS-containing supplements with dipyridamole may require caution as low plasma concentrations of dipyridamole may lead to a subtherapeutic effect of this agent.
