Background: Solar urticaria (SU) is an uncommon type of photodermatoses characterized by erythematous wheal with pruritus after sunlight exposure, which shows a female predominance. Only a few studies to analyze the clinical features of SU were reported in Asia. Objectives: We aimed to analyze the clinical and photobiological characteristics of SU in Korea. Methods: We retrospectively investigated the medical records of patients with SU who visited the department of dermatology, Konkuk university medical center from January 2005 to January 2020. Results: Of a total of 44 patients, 36 (81.8%) were male and 8 (18.2%) were female. The mean age at onset was 17.6 years (range, 5-47) and the mean threshold time was 19.7 minutes. Among 32 patients who underwent phototesting, the action spectrum most commonly implicated was ultraviolet (UV) A only in 12 (37.5%), and then visible light (415nm) only was responsible for SU in 8 (25.0%). Three patients (9.4%) were induced by both UVA and visible light (415nm). Even 4 patients (12.5%) were triggered by only natural sunlight. Serum immunoglobulin E levels were measured in 33 patients, and 17 (51.5%) showed values higher than normal. The treatment most widely used were oral antihistamine (43.2%), followed by phototherapy (13.6%). Conclusion: SU is a rare photodermatosis in Korea, which shows a male preponderance. In this study, UVA and visible light (415nm) were predominant action spectrum of SU.

The plant microbiota plays a crucial role in promot-ing plant health by facilitating the nutrient acquisition, abiotic stress tolerance, biotic stress resilience, and host immune regulation. Despite decades of research efforts, the precise relationship and function between plants and microorganisms remain unclear. Kiwifruit (Actinidia spp.) is a widely cultivated horticultural crop known for its high vitamin C, potassium, and phytochemical content. In this study, we investigated the microbial communities of kiwifruit across different cultivars (cvs. Deliwoong and Sweetgold) and tissues at various developmental stages. Our results showed that the microbiota community similarity was confirmed be-tween the cultivars using principal coordinates analysis. Network analysis using both degree and eigenvector centrality indicated similar network forms between the cultivars. Furthermore, Streptomycetaceae was identi-fied in the endosphere of cv. Deliwoong by analyzing amplicon sequence variants corresponding to tissues with an eigenvector centrality value of 0.6 or higher. Our findings provide a foundation for maintaining ki-wifruit health through the analysis of its microbial com-munity.

ZnO has been studied as a strong candidate for high-quality TCO in accordance with increasing demand to replace ITO. The origin of n-doping in ZnO is not clearly understood, but recently, the H2 effect has received attention due to the role it plays in O-rich and O-poor conditions. In spite of recent rapid developments, controlling the electrical conductivity of ZnO has remained a major challenge. To control the electrical conductivity of ZnO, this study was performed using an FTS system with H2 and O2 addition at low processing temperature. The structural and electrical properties of ZnO thin films deposited at various H2 and O2 flow rates were investigated using XRD and a sheet resistance meter. In response to changes in H2 and O2 flow rates, the crystallization and related grain size of the ZnO films were somewhat changed. The sheet resistance increased from approximately 10(-1) to approximately 10(4) M ohm/sq. when the O2 flow rate was increased, and the resistance decreased from approximately 10(-1) to approximately 10(-4) M ohm/sq. when the H2 flow rate was increased. The increase of sheet resistance with O2 flow rates could be explained by decrease of oxygen vacancies. The decrease of sheet resistance with H2 flow rates could be explained by increase of the electrons from interstitial hydrogen atoms. The plasma characteristics were analyzed using optical emission spectroscopy (OES). But, the overall spectrum did not change with the H2 and O2 gas flow rates. So, the dramatic changes in the electrical properties of ZnO thin films could be considered to be a result of changes in chemical composition of the thin films rather than the plasma status.

SEVERAL KINDS OF INTUITIONISTIC FUZZY OPEN SETS AND INTUITIONISTIC FUZZY INTERIORS
Kim, Chang-Su,Kang, Jeong-Gi,Kim, Myoung-Jo,Ko, Mi-Young,Park, Mi-Ran The Honam Mathematical Society 2010 호남수학학술지 Vol.32 No.2
The notion of intuitionistic fuzzy semi-pre interior (semi-pre closure) is introduced, and several related properties are investigated. Characterizations of an intuitionistic fuzzy regular open set, an intuitionistic fuzzy semi-open set and an intuitionistic fuzzy ${\gamma}$-open set are provided. A method to make an intuitionistic fuzzy regular open set (resp. intuitionistic fuzzy regular closed set) is established. A relation between an intuitionistic fuzzy ${\gamma}$-open set and an intuitionistic fuzzy semi-preopen set is considered. A condition for an intuitionistic fuzzy set to be an intuitionistic fuzzy ${\gamma}$-open set is discussed.

Objectives: Gan Mai Da Zao (GMDZ) decoction is widely used for the treatment of various diseases of the internal organ and of the central nervous system. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of GMDZ decoction on neuropsychiatric disorders in an animal model. Methods: We searched seven databases for randomized animal studies published until April 2015: Pubmed, four Korean databases (DBpia, Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System, Korean Studies Information Service System, and Research Information Sharing Service), and one Chinese database (China National Knowledge Infrastructure). The randomized animal studies were included if the effects of GMDZ decoction were tested on neuropsychiatric disorders. All articles were read in full and extracted predefined criteria by two independent reviewers. Results: From a total of 258 hits, six randomized controlled animal studies were included. Five studies used a Sprague Dawley rat model for acute psychological stress, post-traumatic stress disorders, and unpredictable mild stress depression whereas one study used a Kunming mouse model for prenatal depression. The results of the studies showed that GMDZ decoction improved the related outcomes. Conclusion: Regardless of the dose and concentration used, GMDZ decoction significantly improved neuropsychiatric disease-related outcomes in animal models. However, additional systematic and extensive studies should be conducted to establish a strong conclusion.

( Su Hyeon Kim ),( Sung Hye Kwon ),( Mi Ran Kim ) 대한산부인과학회 2018 대한산부인과학회 학술대회 Vol.104 No.-
Objective: To study the efficacy of ultrasound-guided aspiration with ethanol sclerotherapy and compare the result with repeated ovarian cystectomy surgery for recurrent ovarian endomterioma. Methods: We made retrospective study of patient with recurrent ovarian endometrioma. A total of 76 patients received ultrasound-guided aspiration and ethanol sclerotherapy and 38 patients received repeated ovarian cystectomy. This study compared patient characteristics and recurrence rate between aspiration and ethanol sclerotherapy group and repeated ovarian cystectomy group. Results: The median age for ethanol sclerotherapy group was 36.1 years compared to 32.7 years for the repeated cystectomy group. The recurrence rate for the sclerotherapy group was 46% and repeated cystectomy group was 28%. The size of the largest cyst, number of ovarian cyst and laterality of cyst did not show difference between the two groups. The recurrence free survival curve showed that the recurrence rate was not difference between the two group (p=0.128) Conclusion: Ethanol sclerotherapy shows higher recurrence rate than repeated ovarian cystectomy. Nevertheless ethanol sclerotherapy is an effective and safe procedure, which can be recommend to recurrent endometrioma patients especially with those who has severe adhesion.
Dermoscopic aid in the diagnosis of cutaneous pili migrans
( Su Kyung Park ),( Dae Woo Kim ),( Su Ran Hwang ),( Seok Kweon Yun ),( Han Uk Kim ),( Jin Park ) 대한피부과학회 2015 대한피부과학회 학술발표대회집 Vol.67 No.1
Cutaneous pili migrans, commonly called as migrating hair, is a rare skin condition in which a hair shaft or a fragment is embedded in the superficial skin. It is characterized by a creeping eruption with black-line like hair mimicking cutaneous larva migrans. Herein, we report a case of cutaneous pili migrans on face for which dermoscopy was used as an adjuvant diagnostic tool. A 37-year-old Korean man presented with a 3 cm long thin black linear eruption on his right cheek which was incidentally found 3 weeks ago. He had no suspicious past history including a trauma. Dermoscopic examination revealed a thin homogenous black line embedded within his superficial skin layer which resembled hair shafts. The black strand was removed with fine-toothed forceps, and briskly black hair shafts were extracted. To be more certain, an electronic microscopy was used, and a cuticle structure which is a unique characteristic of usual hair was found. After the removal of embedded hair, the wound was healed without any complications.

Kim, Do Nyun,Seo, Min Koo,Choi, Hoyun,Kim, Su Yeon,Shin, Hee Jong,Yoon, A-Ran,Tao, Qian,Rha, Sun Young,Lee, Suk Kyeong Microbiology Society 2013 The Journal of general virology Vol.94 No.3

Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a herpesvirus associated with lymphomas and carcinomas. While EBV-associated epithelial cell lines are good model systems to investigate the role of EBV in carcinoma, only a few cell lines are available as they are hard to acquire. A greater variety of naturally EBV-infected cell lines which are derived from tumour patients are needed to represent various features of EBVaGC. We characterized cell line YCCEL1, established from a Korean EBVaGC patient, to ascertain whether it can be used to study the roles of EBV in EBVaGC. The expression of EBV genes and cell surface markers was examined by in situ hybridization, RT-PCR, Western blot analysis, immunofluorescence assay and Northern blot analysis. EBV episomal status was analysed by Southern blotting and real-time PCR. This cell line expressed EBV nuclear antigen 1 (EBNA1) and latent membrane protein 2A (LMP2A), but not EBNA2, LMP2B nor LMP1. The majority of the lytic proteins were not detected in YCCEL1 cells either before or after treatment with 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate. YCCEL1 cells expressed BART microRNAs (miRNAs) at high level but did not express BHRF1 miRNAs. YCCEL1 cells expressed cytokeratin, but not CD21 and CD19, suggesting CD21-independent EBV infection. The latent EBV gene and EBV miRNA expression pattern of YCCEL1 cells closely resembled that of general EBVaGC cases. Our results support the value of YCCEL1 cells as a good model system to study the role of EBV in gastric carcinogenesis.
