NSIP와 BOOP의 고해상전산화단층촬영 소견과 비교

Purpose: BOOP and NSIP also share similar clinical features such as subacute flu-like illness, the finding of bronchoalveolar lavage, the result of pulmonary function test and more favourable outcome than usual interstitial pneumonia(UIP). The author try to compare the HRCT findings of NSIP with BOOP by pattern and distribution of diseases. Materials and Methods: HRCT findings of histopathologically proven NSIP(Group Ⅰ; 6, Group Ⅱ; 7, Group Ⅲ; 2) in 15 patients(5 male, 10 female, age range, 39-69 years; mean age, 53 years), BOOP in 15 patients(6 male, 9 female, age range, 26-76 years; mean age, 52 years) were reviewed retrospectively. Results: The common pattern of the two diseases was admixed consolidation, ground glass attenuation & reticular densities with/without architectural distortion(NSIP; 53.3%, BOOP; 46.7%). The main component of the pattern wan predominantly consolidation(NSIP; 46.7%, BOOP; 73.3%) and ground glass attenuation(NSIP; 40.0%, BOOP;20.0%). Architectural distotion was more provinent finding with NSIP(mild ; 3, moderate ; 4, severe; 2) compared with BOOP(mild; 7, moderate; 2, severe; 0). The predominant overall distribution was lower lung, peribronchovascular & peripheral lung field in both of the two entities(NSIP;73.3%, BOOP; 73.3%). Peribronchovascular involvement was more common with NSIP(100%) than BOOP(80%), whereas peripheral involvement was more common with BOOP(93.3%) than NSIP(80%). Conclusion: The HRCT findings of NSIP and BOOP were similar in pattern and distribution. But NIP manifested more frequently ground-glass attenuation, whereas BOOP showed more frequently consolidation. Architectural distortion was more severe with NSIP than BOOP. NSIP invoved more frequently peribronchovascular space and BOOP were more common in peripheral lung field.

韓牛 胎子의 大腿骨 骨端軟骨板 形成에 關한 組織化學的硏究

This experiment was earried out to study histochemical changes of calcium deposition, distribution of collagenous substances and morphological changes in the cartilage canal at 60-70 days of gestation periods in the proximal epiphyseal growth plate of the Korean native bovine fetal femur. The results were as follws. 1. The cartilage cannals were observed in the inner layer of perichondrium of the lst group (C-R length 51-60mm) in bovine fetal femur. 2. Bone marrow cavities and calcium deposits were observed in epiphyseal plate of the 2nd group (C-R length 61-70mm) in bovine fetal femur. 3. Collagenous substances were reacted positively in chondrocyte of lower part at hypertrophic zone in epiphyseal plate and inner layer of perichondrium of the 2nd group(C-R length 61-70mm) in bovine fetal femur. 4. Bony spicules and osteoclasts were observed in calcifying zone in epiphyseal plate of the 4th group(C-R length 81-90mm) in bovine fetal femur.

Monosodium glutamate 投與가 初生雛 甲狀腺에 미치는 影響에 관한 微細構造的 硏究

The present study has been undertaken to investigate ultrastructure of parafollicular cell of the thyroid gland of chichens that had been treated with Monsodium glutamate (MSG). The experimental animals were used 1 day old broiler chicken (hubbard strain). The experimental groups were given 3㎎/g(of body weight) of MSG dissolved in physiological saline solution by orally once in a day for 3 weeks. These experimental chicken were devided into two groups : 2 weeks and 3 weeks treated group. The chicken were sacrificed by exanguination 2 weeks and 3 weeks after administration of the MSG of vehicle(control). The specimens obtained from thyroid gland were stained by uranyl acetate and lead citrate and observed with electron microscope. The obtained results suggest that secretory granule in the parafollicular cells were decreased in MSG treated group.

다형성교아세포종을 동반한 Von Recklinghausen氏 병 1예

가족성으로 신경섬유종증에 동반되는 중추신경계의 종양으로 수막종, 신경교종, 신경초종 등이 있으며 이들은 드물지 않게 보고되었다. 그러나 신경교세포에 생기는 종양 중 신경섬유종증에 동반되어 대뇌에 생긴 다형성교아세포종은 매우 드물다. 본 교실에서 가족성으로 발생한 신경섬유종증의 환자에 동반된 다형성교아세포종을 경험하였으며 가족중 부친은 von Recklinghausen씨 병을, 또 두 자녀는 다발성 cafe´ au lait spots를 가지고 있었다. The tumors of the central nervous system associated with familial neurofibromatosis are meningioma, glioma, and neurilemmoma, which are not uncommon. Of the glial tumors of the central nervous system, the association of cerebral glioblastoma multiforme with neurofibro matosis is very rare. We have experienced the unusual coincidence of neurofibromatosis and glioblastoma multiforme in a 33 year old man, whose father was afflicted with von Recklinghausen's disease and whose son and daughter had also multiple cafe´ au lait spots on their bodies.

급속 열처리 조건에 따른 Pb(Zr_0.52Ti_0.48)O_3 박막의 전기적 특성 변화

Pb(Zr_0.52Ti_0.48)O_3∼Pb(10wt%) stock solution prepared by sol-gel processing was spin-coated on Pt/SiO_2/Si substrate and annealed by rapid thermal annealing to fabricate Pb(Zr_0.52Ti_0.48)O_3 ferroelectric thin films. Annealing temperature was changed from 550 ℃ to 750 ℃ and the annealing time was varied from 10 seconds to 120 seconds to observe their effects on the characteristics of the films. The films annealed at 650t! for 20 seconds showed dielectric constant of 1550 and dielectric loss(tanδ) of 0.02. However, dielectric constant and tan6 of the films annealed at 550℃ for 20 seconds showed severely deteriorated values of 840 and 0.04, respectively. Coercive field and remnant polarization of the films annealed at 650 ℃ for 20 seconds were 32㎸/㎝ and 29μC/㎠, respectively, and irrelevant to the annealing time longer than 20 seconds. Dielectric constant of the films annealed at 650℃ for 20 seconds was increased as the film thickness increased and the value was about 1550∼1600 for the films thicker than or equal to 0.7㎛ in thickness. The deviation of dielectric constant of 0.7㎛ film was within 4% over the area of 15 × 15㎟.

健康한 韓國人의 動脈血液 가스 및 酸一鹽基 平衡値에 對한 觀察

The purpose of this paper is to make an attempt in this investigation to determine normal adult values of arterial blood gas and acid-base balance in 53 healthy Korean male and female subjects of varying age and then compare with the data obtained by others. Determinations of the acid-base status of the arterial blood were performed at 37℃ by the Astrup method using a radiometer instruments, consisted of BGA2A/3-MK 2 system. The mean and standard errors of each component were as follows: pH 7.42±0.043, oxygen saturation 96.96±0.089%, pO?? 97.66±0.91mmHg, pCO?? 37.08±0.68mmHg, CO?? content 24.29±0.43mM/L, bicarbonate 23.26±0.68mM/L, buffer base 46.56±0.66mEg/L, and base excess -0.024±0.001mEg/S. Compared with normal adult values in literatures, all the components of the data appear to be in the same range without any significant difference.

후두적출자의 의사소통 태도

본 연구는 후두적출자의 주된 발성방법과 후두적출 경과 시기에 따른 의사소통 태도를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구의 대상은 성인 남자 55명으로 후두암으로 인한 후두적출자들로 구성되었다. 이들에게 실시한 의사소통 태도 설문지는 Erickson의 의사소통 태도 척도-수정판(Modified Erickson Scale of Communication Attitudes: S-24)을 본 연구에 맞게 수정 보완하여 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 주된 발성방법에 따라서는 인공후두기 사용자와 식도발성자간의 의사소통 태도에 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 후두적출 경과 시기에 따라 10년 초과된 후두적출자들과 10년 이하의 후두 적출자들 간의 의사소통 태도에 차이가 없었다. 그러므로 이들의 의사소통 태도의 긍정적 태도를 증가시키기 위하여 다양한 방법을 활용하고 습득하여 이들의 의사소통 능력을 빠르게 재습득 하여 긍정적인 의사소통 능력을 가질 수 있도록 해야 한다. The purpose of this study was to determine laryngectomee's communication attitude. 55 laryngectomees, who were in the range of 40 years old to 80 years old participated in the study. Communication attitude measurements were taken by S-24(Modified Erickson Scale of Communication Attitudes). The results showed as follows: First, score of laryngectomees with artificial larynx and esophageal speakers were no significant. Second, score of laryngectomees with over 10 years after latyngectomy and 10 years after latyngectomy were no significant.

정신분열병과 Glutathione S-Transferase M1유전자 다형성

Objectives : This study aimed to test the possible association between Glutathione S-Transferase Ml gene (GSTMl) variants and schizophrenia. Methods : One hundred and eleven inpatients with schizophrenia and 130 healthy controls were recruited. Genotyping was performed by polymerase chain reaction-based method. Results : The GSTMl null genotype was significantly more frequent in patients with schizophrenia than in controls (p=0.014, odd ratio=1.93, 95% confidence interva1=1.115-3.351), while GSTMl genotype vahants were not associated with either tardive dyskinesia (TD) or total Abnormal Involuntary Movement Scale (AIMS) scores. Conclusion : The present study suggests that the GSTMl polymorphism may confer susceptibility to the development of schizophrenia but not to TD, at least in Korean population.

Decreased Serum Glutamate Levels in Male Adults with Internet Gaming Disorder: A Pilot Study

Objective: Alteration in glutamatergic neurotransmission and dopaminergic dysfunction has been implicated in both the initiation and expression of addiction related behaviors. This pilot study was aimed to investigate the serum levels of glutamate and dopamine in adults with internet gaming disorder (IGD). Methods: We measured serum levels of glutamate and dopamine in male participants with IGD (n=26) and age-matched healthy controls (n=25). Clinical interviews were performed to identify IGD and to rule out psychiatric comorbidities. Serum levels of glutamate and dopamine were examined by enzyme immunoassays using ELISA Kits. Results: Serum levels of glutamate were lower among IGD than control (IGD: 24.184±12.303 g/ml; control: 33.676±12.413 g/ml; t=2.742, p=0.008), while levels of dopamine did not differ between. Serum glutamate and dopamine levels did not correlate with gaming hours and exposure to game in the IGD group. But serum glutamate levels were positively correlated with the dopamine levels (r=0.360, p=0.013). Conclusion: Our results suggest that altered glutamatergic neurotransmission may contribute to the pathophysiology of IGD.
