A total of 36 volatile organic compounds in water samples collected 3 times (April, August, October) from 33 representative points along the Nakdong river and from 5 industrial complex discharge points were quantitated and summarized as follows. Cis-1,2-Dichloroethylene was detected on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd investigations at 4 points (Kumho6, Suyong5, Kumi and Seongseo). 1,2-Dichloroethane was detected at 0.83 μg/L on the 2nd investigation at 1 point (Namgang4-1), and also detected at 0.08 μg/L and 1.55 μg/L on the 1st and 2nd investigations, repectively, at 1 point (Seongseo), and was detected on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd investigations at 1 point (Jinju) at 2.27 μg/L, 9.04 μg/L and 7.22 μg/L respectively. These detected concentration values were less than EPA and WHO drinking water guidelines. Risk assessment performed on cis-1,2-dichloroethylene revealed that the current level of the compound is less than estimated criteria and was not risky. On the other hand, 1,2-dichloroethane exceeded estimated criteria in the risk assessment, while its level was less than the WHO drinking water guideline.

Park, Kwan-Soo,Heo, Min-Suk,Lee, Sam-Sun,Choi, Soon-Chul,Park, Tae-Won,Jeon, In-Seong,Kim, Jong-Dae 大韓口腔顎顔面 放射線學會 2002 Imaging Science in Dentistry Vol.32 No.4
Purpose : To evaluate the radiographic change of operation sites after orthognathic surgery using the digital image processing and fractal analysis. Materials and Methods : A series of panoramic radiographs of thirty-five randomly selected patients who had undergone mandibular orthognathic surgery (bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy) without clinical complication for osseous healing, were taken. The panoramic radiographs of each selected patient were taken at pre-operation (stage 0), 1 or 2 days after operation (stage 1), 1 month after operation (stage 2), 6 months after operation (stage 3), and 12 months after operation (stage 4). The radiographs were digitized at 600 dpi, 8 bit, and 256 gray levels. The region of interest, centered on the bony gap area of the operation site, was selected and the fractal dimension was calculated by using the tile-counting method. The mean values and standard deviations of fractal dimension for each stage were calculated and the differences among stage 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 were evaluated through repeated measures of the ANOVA and paired t-test. Results : The mean values and standard deviations of the fractal dimensions obtained from stage 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 were 1.658±0.048, 1.580±0.050, 1.607±0.046, 1.624±0.049, and 1.641±0.061, respectively. The fractal dimensions from stage 1 to stage 4 were shown to have a tendency to increase (p<0.05). Conclusion : The tendency of the fractal dimesion to increase relative to healing time may be a useful means of evaluating post-operative bony healing of the osteotomy site. We investigated poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) passivation of solution-processed indium zinc oxide (IZO) thin-film transistors (TFTs). PMMA provides solution-processability and good barrier characteristics against environmental elements such as water and oxygen. The PMMA passivation layers protect the IZO active layer of the TFTs without deteriorating their performance during gate bias stress measurements under ambient conditions, and improve their electrical properties by decreasing leakage current. Moreover, the potential to safely manipulate IZO-TFTs after PMMA passivation was proven by realizing a simple n-channel resistive-load inverter.

Infection is a frequent problem in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Infections contribute greatly to the morbidity of patients and are one of the commonest causes of death. The high frequency and unusual spectrum of infections can be attributed to the multiple disturbances of immune function in SLE in combination with the effects of immunosuppressive therapy. There is increasing evidence to indicate that opportunistic infections including tuberculosis make a large contribution to the infectious mortality in SLE. Tuberculosis is a major cause of morbidity and mortality, particularly in our country where tuberculosis is still endemic. The indolent nature of tuberculous bone and joint disease often leads to delayed or missed diagnosis, sometimes with devastating consequences for the patient. We report a case of multifocal and complicated osteoarticular tuberculosis developing in the spines and knee joint due to delayed diagnosis, with review of literatures.
Effects of Ultrasonication on the Electrical Performance of a-IGZO TFTs
Jae-Yun Lee,Kwan-Jun Heo,Seong-Gon Choi,Jung-Hyuk Koh,Sung-Jin Kim 대한전자공학회 2021 Journal of semiconductor technology and science Vol.21 No.2
In this study, investigate the effect of ultrasonication on the oxide channel layer of amorphous indium-gallium-zinc oxide (a-IGZO) thin-film transistors (TFTs) based on different processing times. The ultrasonication treatment was applied at 40 kHz for 0, 10, 20, and 40 min before post annealing. Ultrasonication improved the electrical and surface morphology properties of a-IGZO thin-film transistors. The a-IGZO TFTs that underwent ultrasonication for 10 min exhibited enhanced electrical performance (saturation mobilities of 11.9 ㎠/Vs, current on/off ratio of 3.5 × 107, threshold voltage of 6.1 V, and subthreshold voltage of 0.65 V/dec). Moreover, the dynamic and static responses of a resistive load–type inverter based on a-IGZO with ultrasonication are examined.
