      • 핵폐기용 실험글라스고화체의 구조 및 특성에 관한 연구

        핵연료의 재처리공정중에서 방출되는 high-level방사성폐액을 안정한 글라스형태로 고화하여 처리하는 글라스고화법이 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고화글라스구성성분의 하나인 Pb가 글라스의 용해도, 글라스중에서의 존재형태, 결정화에 미치는 영향을 UV, XRD, TG등을 이용하여 검토하였다. Pd의 용해도는 Tg∼1200℃에서 수 십-수 백ppm정도이며, 용해도를 전후하여 각각 2가이온 및 콜로이드상태로 존재한다는 것을 확인하였다. 그리고 Pb는 결정화에있어서 결정화를 촉진하였으나, Mn, Cr, V, Sb등의 다원자가원소의 첨가에 의하여 결정화를 억제할 수 있었다. Glass is an attractive form for the permanent and secure disposal treatment of high-level radioactive liquid wastes from high-level nuclear waste re-management process. In present work, we investigated the effect of glass solubility, existing form from of Pd in glass, and crystallization of glass on the Pd behaviour in the waste glass using UV, XRD, and TG. The solubility of Pd was from several 10s to several 100s ppm in Tg∼1200℃, and we found Pd exists as bivalent ionic or colloidal form at around the value of Pd-solubility in glass matrix. In crystallization, Pd in glass was helpful for promoting the crystallization, but Mn, Cr, V, and Sb additives retarded and controlled the crystallization.

        보행 시 노인의 상체 움직임에 대한 3차원적 분석

The purpose of this study was to investigate the kinematic variables of the upper part of the body for 8 elderly men during walking. For this study, kinematic data were collected using a six-camera (240Hz) Qualisys ProReflex system. The room coordinate system was right-handed and fixed in space, with righted orthogonal segment coordinate systems defined for the head, trunk, and pelvis. Based on a rigid body model, reflective marker triads were attached on the 3 segments. Three-dimensional Cartesian coordinates for each marker were determined at the time of recording using a nonlinear transformation(NLT) technique with ProReflex software (Qualisys, Inc.). Coordinate data were low-pass filtered using a fourth-order Butterworth with cutoff frequency of 6Hz. Three-dimensional angles of the head, trunk, and pelvis segment were determined using a Cardan method. On the basis of each segment angle, angle-angle plot used to estimated the movement coordinations between segments. The conclusions were as follows; (1) During the support phase of walking, the elderly people generally kept their head the flexional and abductional posture. Particularly, the elderly displayed little internal/external rotation. (2) The elderly people showed extensional and external rotation postures in the trunk movement. Particularly, It showed the change from adduction into abduction at the heel contact event of the stance phase. (3) The elderly people showed almost same pelvis movement from the flexion into extension, from the abduction into adduction, and from internal rotation into external rotation at the mid stance and toe off of the stance phase.

      • 금속 알콕사이드를 원료로하여 분무 건조법에 의해 제조된 코오디어라이트 세라믹의 전기적 특성

        코오디어라이트 세라믹 원료 분말이 금속 알콕사이드를 원료로 하여 제조되었다. 가수분해에 의해 제조된 졸을 분무 건조법과 오븐 건조기 건조법으로 건조하였으며 800℃에서 하소 처리한 후 1300℃에서 코오디어라이트 세라믹 소결체를 제조하였다. 분무 건조분말의 소결체의 유전상수 및 유전손실은 1㎒에서 1.1과 0.035의 값을 나타내었고, 건조기 건조분말의 소결체는 1.6 및 0.08의 값을 나타내었다. 분무건조 분말의 소결체의 겉보기 기공율 및 부피비중은 평균 1.3%와 2.448g/㎤ 이였고, 건조기 건조 분말의 소결체의 겉보기 기공율과 부피비중은 평균 3.2%와 2.185g/㎤이였다. Cordierite ceramic precursor powders were prepared from metal alkoxides. Hydrolyzed also were dried by spray dryer and oven dryer, and then they were calcined at 800℃. Calcined cordierite powders were sintered at 1300℃. In the codierite ceramics that were prepared from spray drying powders, dielectric constant and loss factor have 1.1 and 0.035 in 1MHz, respectively. In the codierite ceramics that were prepared from oven drying powders, dielectric constant and loss factor have 1.6 and 0.08 in 1MHz, respectively, Spray dried and sintered cordierite ceramics have apparent porosity of 1.3% and bulk density of 2.448g/㎤. Oven dried and sintered cordierite ceramics have apparent porosity of 3.2% and bulk density of 2.185g/㎤.

        가상현실 기법의 활용이 지식 성취도 향상에 미치는 효과 : 눈의 구조와 기능 내용을 중심으로 The Structure and Function of Eye

        The purpose of present study was to develop teaching-learning materials based virtual reality technology(VRT), and to examine the effect of it on the knowledge achievement of biology. Authoring tool of virtual reality(VR) was 3D Webmaster made in Superscape Ltd., United Kingdom. Educational materials was developed for the structure and function of eye of life field in the 10th science. It was learner-directed and interactive educational material using the Web-based and desktop VR. The result showed a meaningful improvement on the achievement. Using 3D VR shows the potential of available education media in the next generation as science teaching-aided material, which especially was efficient in the understanding and perception of abstract or difficult to direct experience learning contents.

        고압 커패시터의 고장 분석을 통한 신뢰도 예측

        본 논문은 고압 커패시터의 고장분석과 신뢰성 예측 결과를 다루고 있다. 부품의 수명과 고장률을 예측하기 위해서 두 가지 방법으로 고장 모드와 고장 메커니즘을 연구하였다. 에폭시 수지로 성형된 고압 커패시터가 절연내압 시험 하에서 저항이 제로로 되는 고장에 대하여, 근본원인 고장분석 체계를 효과적으로 수립함으로써 고장 메커니즘의 원인을 분석하였다. 특히 세라믹-에폭시 계면에서의 절연파괴 고장 현상이 강조되었으며, 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과의 타당성은 마그네트론에 장착된 고압 커패시터의 열사이클 시험 수행에 의한 가속시험 결과로부터 입증되었다. 시험 결과들은 결함이 있는 로트를 신속히 규명하고 B10수명을 결정하는데 유용하게 사용할 수 있다. 또한, 유전체의 절연파괴에 대해서 부하-강도 간섭모델을 이용하여 고장률을 예측하였다. This paper presents a result of failure analysis and reliability evaluation for high voltage ceramic capacitors. The failure modes and failure mechanisms were studied in two ways in order to estimate component life and failure rate. The causes of failure mechanisms for zero resistance phenomena under withstanding voltage test in high voltage ceramic capacitors molded by epoxy resin were studied y establishing an effective root cause failure analysis. Particular emphasis was placed on breakdown phenomena at the ceramic-epoxy interface. The validity of the results in this study was confirmed by the results of accelerated testing. Thermal cycling test for high voltage ceramic capacitor mounted on a magnetron were implemented. Delamination between ceramic and epoxy, which might cause electrical short in underlying circuitry, can occur during curing or thermal cycle. The results can be conveniently used to quickly identify defective lots, determine B10 life estimation each lot at the level of inspection, and detect major changes in the vendors processes. Also, thd condition for dielectric breakdown was investigated for the estimation of failure rate with load-strength interference model.

      • Phosphoproteomic Analysis of AML14.3D10 Cell Line as a Model System of Eosinophilia

        Eosinophils act as effectors in the inflammatory reactions of allergic diseases including atopic dermatitis. Atopic dermatitis patients and others with allergic disorders suffer from eosinophilia, an accumulation of eosinophils due to increased survival or decreased apoptosis of eosinophils. In this study, a differential phosphoproteome analysis of AML14.3D10 eosinophil cell line after treatment with IL-5 or dexamethasone was conducted in an effort to identify the phosphoproteins involved in the proliferation or apoptosis of eosinophils. Proteins were separated by 2-DE and alterations in phosphoproteins were then detected by Pro-Q Diamond staining. The significant quantitative changes were shown in nineteen phosphoproteins including retinoblastoma binding protein 7, MTHSP75, and lymphocyte cytosolic protein 1. In addition, seven phosphoproteins including galactokinase I, and proapolipoprotein, were appeared after treatment with IL-5 or dexamethasone. Especially, the phospho-APOE protein was down-regulated in IL-5 treated AML14.3D10, while the more heavily phosphorylated APOE form was induced after dexamethasone treatment. These phosphoproteome data for the AML14.3D10 cell line may provide clues to understand the mechanism of eosinophilia as well as allergic disorders including atopic dermatitis.

        Antidiabetic and Beta Cell-Protection Activities of Purple Corn Anthocyanins

        .Antidiabetic and beta cell-protection activities of purple corn anthocyanins (PCA) were examined in pancreatic beta cell culture and db/db mice. Only PCA among several plant anthocyanins and polyphenols showed insulin secretion activity in culture of HIT-T15 cells. PCA had excellent antihyperglycemic activity (in terms of blood glucose level and OGTT) and HbA1c-decreasing activity when compared with glimepiride, a sulfonylurea in db/db mice. In addition, PCA showed effi cient protection activity of pancreatic beta cell from cell death in HIT-T15 cell culture and db/db mice. The result showed that PCA had antidiabetic and beta cell-protection activities in pancreatic beta cell culture and db/db mice.

      • Dyrk1A-mediated phosphorylation of Presenilin 1: a functional link between Down syndrome and Alzheimer’s disease

Neurochem.</I> (2010) <B>115</B>, 574–584.</P><P>Abstract</P><P>The dual-specificity tyrosine(Y)-phosphorylation-regulated kinase 1A (Dyrk1A) gene is located on human chromosome 21 and encodes a proline-directed protein kinase that might be responsible for mental retardation and early onset of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) in Down syndrome (DS) patients. Presenilin 1 (PS1) is a key component of the &ggr;-secretase complex in the generation of &bgr;-amyloid (A&bgr;), an important trigger protein in the pathogenesis of AD. Increased Dyrk1A expression has been reported in human AD and DS brains. We previously showed that Dyrk1A increased A&bgr; production in mammalian cells and transgenic mice that over-express Dyrk1A. In this study, we describe a potential mechanism by which A&bgr; is increased in Dyrk1A-over-expressing DS and AD brains. First, we show that PS1 is phosphorylated by the Dyrk1A at Thr<SUP>354</SUP> and that this phosphorylation increases &ggr;-secretase activity. Then, using transgenic mice that over-express human Dyrk1A, we demonstrate that phospho-Thr354-PS1 (pT354-PS1) expression is enhanced when Dyrk1A level is increased. We also show that pT354-PS1 is more stable than the unphosphorylated form of PS1. These results reveal a potential regulatory link between Dyrk1A and PS1 in the A&bgr; pathway of DS and AD brains, suggesting that up-regulated Dyrk1A may accelerate AD pathogenesis through PS1 phosphorylation.</P>
