Objective: This study aims to design a pushchair to assist special children with their daily routines. Simultaneously, the detachable seat can be utilized as a carseat. Background: With innovation of various assistive technologies, disabled children have their right to live as normal children regardless of their limitations. The finding indicates mobility ranks as the most critical yet challenging activity. Often paediatric wheelchairs are required to compensate these difficulties. Besides, the Malaysian government mandates child carseat usage for all private vehicles to prevent child injuries while travelling. Due to their special need requirements, there are design mismatches with the existing carseat. This study utilized ergonomic principles in pushchair design by using anthropometric of disabled children population and Child Restraint System Design Guidelines by Malaysia Institute of Road Safety Research. Method: Participants were among 22 Malaysian physical disabled children (50% males and 50% females) with mean age of M=11.73 years, SD=14.057. Twenty anthropometric dimensions were selected for the analysis and design process. Standard professional Harpenden anthropometer, spreading caliper and measuring tape were used and each data taken is referred from Malaysia Standard, MS ISO 7250-1:2008. CATIA V5 was used for CAD modeling and CURA was used for the 3D printing model prototype. Results: The combination of the carseat and wheelchair into one assistive technology with ergonomic specification was innovated. The new design is based on the identification of user needs. The foldable pushchair frame and detachable seat can be used as seats, wheelchairs, carseats and even standing frames during physiotherapy sessions. Conclusion: Mobility was the primary issue that caregivers of disabled children confronted. With special needs requirements, the proposed design is more accessible for disabled children than the current design. Application: This finding is useful in designing sound pushchair that considers variations of anthropometric dimensions with minimal assistance from caregivers.

The in-situ elastic modulus (E) is a vital parameter for describing rock strength in many engineering projects on rock slopes. The elastic modulus and uniaxial compressive strength (UCS) are typically investigated via laboratory tests using core samples. However, the direct determination of E is costly and time-consuming in preparing many intact samples from highly weathered Setul limestone. The knocking ball testing method is a non-destructive test that can quickly and easily obtain the elastic modulus of rock in-situ by striking the surface of a rock mass with a spherical steel hammer. This study presents the relationship between the elastic modulus of knocking ball (Ekb) and the uniaxial compressive strength of the Schmidt hammer (UCS-Schmidt). Results show that the regression coefficient correlation, R2 is 0.851, indicating a positive trend with a few outliers. The measured Ekb were also verified with mineral propertiesand correlated to differential weathering grades to confirm the accuracy of measurement results. The finding compared to previous similar studies tested on several types of rock show a statistically significant. This research highlights the effectiveness of the knocking ball method for determining the modulus of rock slope at different weathering grades. A high elastic modulus corresponds to a high uniaxial compressive strength, verified by the laboratory test. This study shows that the knocking ball can be useful for predicting in-situ elastic modulus.

The purpose of this study is to examine the role of virtual community participation and engagement in the brand decision by building community and brand trust. In this study, two theories (Social Capital Theory and Theory of Collective Action) were tested. Both theories were linked based on existing literature, and empirical evidence was obtained through testing hypotheses. Students from five prestigious Pakistani business schools provided a total of 849 replies. The measurement model and structural model were both analyzed using the partial least square (PLS) method. The findings show that virtual community engagement and participation have a positive and significant impact on virtual community trust. Although virtual community engagement has a positive effect on brand trust, we found no evidence of a link between virtual community participation and brand trust. Later, these trusts positively influence brand choice. This study has several managerial implications. The suggested model of this study helps managers to get customers’ insight, choose the right target market, and set integrated marketing communication strategies besides social media marketing strategies. The study represents a new perspective of consumer behavior that helps to understand how a customer behaves in virtual communities to trust and take the final decision to purchase.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Diabetes type 2 (T2D) is a very complex disorder with a large number of cases reported worldwide. There are several reported molecular targets which are being used towards drug design. In spite of extensive research efforts, there is no sure shot treatment available. One of the major reasons for this failure or restricted success in T2D research is the identification of a major/breakthrough therapeutic target responsible for the progression of T2D. It has been well documented that one of the major causes mediating the insulin resistance is the interaction of PLD1 with PED/PEA15. Herein, we have performed <I>in silico</I> experiments to investigate the interaction between PLD1 with PED/PEA15. Furthermore, this study has explored pertinent molecular interactions involving the self-derived peptides. The peptides identified in this study are found to be capable of restricting the interaction of these two proteins. Accordingly, the study suggests that the “self-derived peptides” could be used as promising therapeutic candidate(s) against T2D.</P>

Polyaniline Sn(IV) tungstomolybdate nanocomposite (PSTM) was synthesized by sol–gel method. Thephysico-chemical properties of PSTM were studied using FTIR, TGA, XRD, SEM, and TEM. The materialwas successfully used for the removal of Pb2+. Batch experiments were performed as a function of variousexperimental parameters such as effect of pH (2–8), contact time (5–60 min), initial Pb2+ concentration(10–30 mg L 1) and temperature (20–50 8C). The removal rate of Pb2+ using PSTM was fast andequilibrium established within 50 min. Kinetic studies showed better applicability for pseudo-firstordermodel. The values of thermodynamic parameters (DG8, DH8 and DS8) were also computed.
Commutativity of multiplicative $b$-generalized derivations of prime rings

Consider $\mathscr{R}$ to be an associative prime ring and $\mathscr{K}$ to be a nonzero dense ideal of $\mathscr{R}$. A mapping (need not be additive) $\mathscr{F} : \mathscr{R} \rightarrow \mathscr{Q} _{mr}$ associated with derivation $d : \mathscr{R} \rightarrow \mathscr{R}$ is called a multiplicative $b$-generalized derivation if $\mathscr{F} (\alpha \delta ) = \mathscr{F} (\alpha )\delta + b\alpha d(\delta )$ holds for all $\alpha ,\delta \in \mathscr{R}$ and for any fixed $(0 \neq) b \in \mathscr{Q}_s \subseteq \mathscr{Q}_{mr}$. In this manuscript, we study the commutativity of prime rings when the map $b$-generalized derivation satisfies the strong commutativity preserving condition and moreover, we investigate the commutativity of prime rings that admit multiplicative $b$-generalized derivation, which improves many results in the literature.

Prohibitin (PHB) is a chaperone protein which is highly conserved evolutionarily. It shows significant homology with the Drosophila cc gene which is considered important for development and differentiation of Drosophila melanogaster. Investigations have revealed an involvement of PHB in cellular proliferation and development, apoptosis, signal transduction, mitochondrial function and regulation of the estrogen and androgen receptors. Therefore, we conducted the present study to analyze mutations in the highly conserved region in Indian female breast cancer patients. Conventional PCR-SSCP and Automated DNA sequencing were performed with a total of 105 breast cancer samples along with adjacent normal tissue. Of the total, 14.2% (15/105) demonstrated a mutation status of prohibitin observed in our study population. We identified a novel missense mutation (Thr>Ser), a novel deletion of T nucleotide in an intron adjacent to intron-exon boundary and a previously determined missense mutation (Val>Ala). A statistically significant correlation was obtained which suggested that prohibitin may be associated with tumor development and/or progression of at least some proportion of breast cancers.

Over the last few years, marine environment was found to be a source of surplus natural products and microorganisms with new bioactive secondary metabolites of interest which can divulge nutritional and biological impact on the host. This study aims to assess the possible, inherent and functional probiotic properties of a novel probiotic strain Enterococcus durans F3 (E. durans F3) isolated from the gut of fresh water fish Catla catla. Parameters for evaluating and describing the probiotics described in FAD/WHO guidelines were followed. E. durans F3 demonstrated affirmative results including simulated bile, acid and gastric juice tolerance with exhibited significant bactericidal effect against pathogens Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella Typhi, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This can be due to the enterocin produced by E. durans F3 strain, which was resolute by sodium dodecyl sulphate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) gel with amplification of the anticipated fragment of a structural gene; enterocin A, followed by antibiotic susceptibility assessment. Effective antioxidant potentiality against α-diphenyl-α-picrylhydrazyl free radicals including lipase, bile salt hydrolase activity with auto-aggregation and cell surface hydrophobicity was similarly observed. Results are proving the potentiality of E. durans F3, which can also be used as probiotic starter culture in dairy industries for manufacturing new products that imparts health benefits to the host. Finding the potent and novel probiotic strains will also satisfy the current developing market demand for probiotics.
