To recover humanity, forfeited by development of material civilization inconsequence of high growth of economy with harmony of nature and to create a spiritually affluent society and culture, importance of dance is increasing. The present study examined development process of Korean Folk Dance and presents plans for popularization of Korean Folk Dance to develope and revitalize Korean Folk Dance. To develope and popularize Korean folk Dance, we need following plans. 1. Extending and renovating the educational system. 2. Categorizing traditional dances and using repertory system. 3. Using mass-media and activating criticism. 4. Activating dance performance in little theaters and diversifying performance places.

<P><B>Purpose</B></P><P>This study investigated population pharmacokinetics of paroxetine, and then performed an integrated analysis of exposure and clinical outcome using population pharmacokinetic parameter estimates in depressed patients treated with paroxetine.</P><P><B>Patients and methods</B></P><P>A total of 271 therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) data were retrospectively collected from 127 psychiatric outpatients. A population nonlinear mixed-effects modeling approach was used to describe serum concentrations of paroxetine. For 83 patients with major depressive disorder, the treatment response rate and the incidence of adverse drug reaction (ADR) were characterized by logistic regression using daily dose or area under the concentration–time curve (AUC) estimated from the final model as a potential exposure predictor.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>One compartment model was developed. The apparent clearance of paroxetine was affected by age as well as daily dose administered at steady-state. Overall treatment response rate was 72%, and the incidence of ADR was 30%. The logistic regression showed that exposure predictors were not associated with treatment response or ADR in the range of dose commonly used in routine practice. However, the incidence of ADR increased with the increase of daily dose or AUC for the patients with multiple concentrations.</P><P><B>Conclusion</B></P><P>In depressed patients treated with paroxetine, TDM may be of limited value for individualization of treatment.</P>

New mono- and bis-Cu(II)-triazacyclononane(tacn) complex that conjugated with 9-aminoacridine were synthesized, and their binding modes and DNA cleavage activity were investigated in this study. When the classic intercalator, 9-aminoacridine, was conjugated to mono- and bis-Cu(II)-tacn complexes, a significant red-shift and hypochromism in absorption spectrum was apparent in the acridine absorption region upon binding to DNA. Furthermore, the magnitude of the negative reduced linear dichroism signal in the substrate absorption region appeared to be larger than that in the DNA absorption region. These spectral observations indicated that the acridine moiety intercalated when the Cu(II)-tacn complex was conjugated. In contrast, from a close analysis of the circular and linear dichroism spectrum, the aminoacridine-free bis-Cu(II)-tacn complex was concluded to bind at the phosphate groups of DNA. The 9-aminoacridine-free-bis-Cu(II)-tacn complex produces the nicked and linear DNA. On the other hand, 9-aminoacridine conjugated mono-and bis-Cu(II)-tacn complexes showed unspecific binding with negligible DNA cleavage.
The Polymorphism and Gene Frequencies of Haptoglobin Phenotypes in Korean

Haptoglobin의 다형현상을 5% polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis로 조사하였다. 600명의 무관한 개체사이에서 Hp1-1, Hp2-1, Hp2-2의 세가지 표현형이 관찰되었으며 변형은 발견되지 않았다. Hp*1과 Hp*2에 대한 대립유전자 빈도는 각각 0.2884와 0.7116으로 측정되었다. 한국인 집단에서의 haptoglobin의 다형적 표현형과 유전자빈도를 다른 집단과 비교하였다. Polymorphism of the haptoglobin were investigated by 5% polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Among 600 unrelated individuals, three phenotypes Hp 1-1, Hp 2-1 and Hp 2-2 have been observed, but no variants were detected. The estimated allele frequencies for Hp*1 and Hp*2 were 0.2884 and 0.7116, respectively. The gene frequencies and polymorphic phenotypes of haptoglobin in Korean were compared with those in other populations.
