Purpose : This study examines the effect of vibration exercise grafting PNF patterns for 6 weeks on upper body stability and equilibrium for seniors having fifteen or over of MMSE-K. Method : A total of 10 senior citizens participated in this study. Each participant performed PNF patterned exercises using vibration sports equipment for 30 minutes, once static a week, for six weeks. We measured trunk stability and balance degree before and after the six-week exercise program. Motor Assessment Scale (MAS) was used to measure trunk stability, while Functional Reach Test (FRT) and Timed Up and Go (TUG) was used to measure balance degree. The collected data was processed using paired t-test to confirm the difference between pre-program conditions and post-program conditions. Results: The results of our study show that post-program trunk stability measurements increased when compared to pre-program data; however, this increase was not statistically significant. pre and post-measurements for satatic balance and dynamic balance were statistically unchanged. Conclusion: Due to limitations in the number of participants, the procedural design of this experiment, and the limited amount of time participants actually controlled, this study failed to produce statistically significant results. However, further study should be conducted using a systematically implemented exercise program to show support for exercising with flexi-bar as an effective program for the elderly.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We demonstrate the ability to fabricate high-quality nanoscale electrical contact between silver nanowires (AgNWs) and underlying semiconducting layers in chalcogenide thin film solar cells. AgNW electrodes have attracted many interests due to their ability for low temperature solution processing. However, they have a drawback that the interfacial defects can be generated between AgNWs and underlying rugged semiconductor layers making it difficult to form high-quality junction. To enhance the junction properties, conducting matrix layers have been adapted. Yet, the issues regarding the AgNW/semiconductor junction have not been fully resolved. We developed a facile method to form robust nanoscale contact between AgNWs and semiconducting thin films to achieve high performance chalcogenide thin film solar cells. The method is to deposit an ultra-thin semiconductor layer on devices using aqueous chemical bath deposition. The chemical bath deposition has capability to effectively fill even nanoscale gap and to form chemically stable bonds as well as an intimate junction. As a proof of concept, a CdS layer (~ 10 nm) was deposited using the chemical bath deposition on Cu(In,Ga)Se<SUB>2</SUB> (CIGS) solar cells with a structure of AgNW/CdS/CIGS/Mo/Glass. We also identified that the key factor governing the current-voltage characteristic is the electrical contact between the AgNW electrode and the CdS buffer layer in CIGS thin film solar cells. The power conversion efficiency of the CIGS cell was dramatically improved from 4.9% to 14.2% owing to high-quality AgNW-CdS electrical contact produced by chemical bath deposition of the additional CdS layer as thin as 10 nm.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> A facile method to form robust nanoscale contact between AgNWs and semiconductors for high performance solar cell. </LI> <LI> Formation of high quality junction between AgNWs and a CdS buffer layer in CIGS solar cells by chemical bath deposition. </LI> <LI> Due to the high quality contact, the efficiency of CIGS solar cells dramatically improves from 4.9% to 14.2%. </LI> <LI> The cells with high quality junction show high performance at any illumination conditions. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

Nine morpholine-derived halogenated chalcone derivatives (MHC1-MHC9) were synthesized, and their inhibitory activity against monoamine oxidase (MAO) was evaluated. MHC5 showed the highest inhibitory activity against MAO-B with an IC50 value of 0.065 μM, followed by MHC7 (IC50=0.078 μM) and MHC6 (IC50=0.082 μM). The para-F substituent MHC4 was also potent (IC50=0.095 μM). The selectivity index values of all the compounds were high for MAO-B over MAO-A, and the values for MHC5 and MHC4 were 66.15 and 80.11, respectively. MHC5 and MHC4 were competitive MAO-B inhibitors with Ki values of 0.024±0.00062 and 0.041±0.0028 μM, respectively. In reversibility tests, the changes in residual activity before and after the dialysis of MHC5 and MHC4 were similar to those of safnamide, a reversible MAO-B reference inhibitor. Additionally, molecular docking and dynamic simulations predicted that the lead molecules MHC5 and MHC4 could strongly bind to the MAO-B active site with docking scores of –10.92±0.08 and –10.64±0.14 kcal/mol, respectively. Additionally, MHC4 and MHC5 exhibited favorable ADME features, including blood–brain barrier permeability. The experiments confrmed that MHC5 and MHC4 are reversible and potent selective inhibitors of MAO-B and are promising candidates for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases (human health).
동의보감・내경편 독활(獨活)의 용법을 통해 본 한의학 기초와 임상의 연계 교육 방안

독활은 거풍제습(祛風除濕), 해표지통(解表止痛)의 두 가지 효능을 통해 하지부 근골격 질환, 가려움증, 외감(外感), 그리고 종기 등의 치료에 활용한다. 동의보감의 질병 파트에는 모두 121건의 독활 사용례가 있는데, 근골격 질환, 가려움증은 외형편에, 외감과 종기는 잡병편에 주로 나타난다. 내경편에는 꿈[夢] 2건, 성음(聲音) 1건, 포(胞) 4건, 충(蟲) 1건, 대변(大便) 2건 등 10건의 처방에 활용되었다. 꿈에서는 허번으로 잠들지 못할 때와 가위눌리고 잠을 못잘 때, 성음에서는 외감으로 목소리가 나오지 않을 때, 포에서는 붕루가 나올 때, 충에서는 노채증에, 그리고 대변에서는 설사와 변비에 모두 활용하였다. 임상교육을 막 시작하는 학생들에게 위 두 가지 독활의 효능과 인체 내부의 질병을 다루는 내경편에서의 활용을 연결지어 공부하는 것은 쉽지 않다. 동의보감의 독활 활용례를 전수 조사해보면 독활에 대한 기초학 지식만으로 확장하기 어려웠던 다양한 임상의 활용례를 확인할 수 있다. 향후 이와 같은 방법을 활용한다면 본초 지식을 활용한 다양한 제품의 개발, 기초와 임상이 연결되는 직무역량 중심의 한의학교육 개선에 활용될 수 있으므로 본 논문을 통해 보고하였다. Pubescent Angelica is generally used in musculoskeletal diseases of lower extremity, itching, external contraction (外感) and furuncle, with the effect of dispelling wind, draining dampness, dispersing the external (解表) and stopping pain. The disease parts of Treasured Mirror of Eastern Medicine (東醫寶鑑) contain 121 examples of the usage of Pubescent Angelica. Cases of musculoskeletal diseases and itching are mainly in the External Bodily Elements section (外形篇), and those of external contraction and furuncle are mainly in the Miscellaneous Disorder section (雜病篇). Internal Bodily Elements section (內景篇) has 10 prescriptions that involve Pubescent Angelica, in Dreams (2), Voice (1), Uterus (4), Parasites (1), and Feces (2) chapters. Their specific symptoms are insomnia and sleep paralysis (Dreams), loss of voice due to external contraction (Voice), uterine hemorrhage (Uterus), phthisis (Parasites), and constipation and diarrhea (Feces). It is not easy for students beginning their clinical training to link the effects of Pubescent Angelica and its actual usage, especially in the area of internal medicine. By Analyzing the whole cases of Pubescent Angelica in the Treasured Mirror, we found various usages out of reach of basic knowledge of the herb. Such method can be utilized not only in developing herbal knowledge-based products, but also in improving Korean medicine education, by enhancing the occupational competency bridging basic and clinical knowledge.
SDN 기반 5G 네트워크 환경에서 사용자 이동성을 고려한 핸드오버 셀 선택 기법

본 논문은 5G 네트워크의 주요 요구사항인 1ms 이내의 지연 시간을 만족하기 위해 새로운 SDN 기반 핸드오버 방식을 제안한다. UE로부터 이동성 정보와 BS의 상태 정보를 SDN 컨트롤러가 수집하고 가공된 데이터를 이용하여 다음 셀을 예측한다. 이 때, 셀 예측 시 계산량을 줄이기 위해 LP 문제 해결 기법을 적용한다. 또한, 예측된 셀에 대해 채널을 선 할당 하여 핸드오버 소요 시간을 줄이고 빠르고, 끊김 없는 서비스를 제공하게 된다. 실험을 통해 제안 방법은 이동 방향에 따라 신호 세기, 체류시간이 길고 셀의 부하가 적은 셀을 찾아냄을 알 수 있다.

Object : As though the roots of Stephania tetrandra and Cocculus trilobus are used for medicinal purposes, climbing stems of these plants which do not have medicianl value are often adulterated and distributed in markets. Therefore, distinguishing the medicinal parts of these plants from the non-medicinal parts is necessary. Method : Samples of Stephania tetrandra and Cocculus trilobus were collected and authenticated. They were separated into root(StR, CtR) and climbing stem(StS, CtS), and then examined using stereoscope and microscope. Result : 1. Morphological characteristics: StR contained abundant powder and had a lotus flower-patterned section whereas StS had less powder and a wheel-patterned section. CtR had an irregular longitudinally wrinkled surface and a superb pink flower-patterned section whereas CtS had a regular furrowed surface and wheel-patterned section. 2. Anatomical characteristics: StR was abundant in starch grains and crystals (calcium oxalate), whereas StS lacked these features. In contrast to CtS, the width of the CTR medullary rays was equal or greater than that of the wood rays. Additionally, CtS contained high number of crystals but CtR did not. Conclusion : Morphological and anatomical characteristics are useful for identifying non-medicinal climbing stems of S. tetrandra and C. trilobus.

This paper reports a development of numerical analysis software, which could analyze magnetic field around cracks by using an improved dipole model. The preprocessor includes crack forming software, and the magnetic charge per unit area, m could be distributed on the crack section area. Also lift-off, measurement area and sensor interval, magnetization direction could be considered in the preprocessor. Also, postprocessor provides the results presenting functions, such as natural magnetic field distribution and ∂B/∂x, ∂B/∂y. Also, the physical characteristics of magnetic optical sensor and Hall sensor are included in the postprocessor, and the magnetic field distribution could be changed optical intensity and electrical signal distribution. The experiment results, which are obtained by using magnetic camera and the magnetic optical nondestructive inspection system on the crack, are compared with analysis results by using dipole model analysis software.
