This paper is intended to study 〈Jumong Myth〉 which's written by many writers newly. It seems to me that there are characters which are represented images of Jumong and Yoohwa in 〈Jumong Myth〉 in their works. First of all, it seems that they showed aspects of Jumong or Yoohwa as the Hero of the founder or the Hero's supporter of wisdom in their poems 『Dongmaeng』 and 『The Four Pillars and Eight Characters of Go, Ju-mong as the founder of Goguryeo Dongmyeongsungwang』by Seo, Jeong-ju, 『Lady Yoohwa』by Song Su-kwon and 『The sky of Jumong』 by Yoon Keum-cho. Only Seo‘s characters are expressed a destiny and a right but Song and Yoon's are represented the Hero itself in the narrative process through agony of realities. The secondly, it seems that Lee, Kwang-su showed aspects of Jumong as a so n?a husband?a father through the life of the Hero in his work 『Dongmyeongwang of love』. And Song Ha-chun showed aspects of Yoohwa in 〈Jumong Myth〉 through a woman as a unusual birth of process and preservation of life in his work 『Daughters of Haback』. In conclusion, it seems that their works either poems or novels are represented and recreated various images of Jumong and Yoohwa in 〈Jumong Myth〉.

Protective Effect of Curcumin and Aqueous Extract of Onchengyeum on CCl_(4)-induced Hepatotoxicity

An aqueous extract of oriental herbal composition named Onchengyeum and curcumin, an antioxidant isolated from turmeric (Curcuma longa Linné) reduced hepatotoxicity induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl_(4)). Improved liver function was observed by measuring the activities of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (CRE), total cholesterol (TCHO), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-CHO), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-CHO), total protein (TP), albumin (ALB) and total bilirubin (BIL) in serum. Hepatic parameters monitored were levels of cholesterol (CHO), triglyceride (TG), malondialdehyde (MDA) and content of cytochrome P450 (CYP), level of glutathione (GSH), activities of NADPH-CYP reductase, superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione S-transferase (GST), glutathione reductase (GR), glutathione peroxidase (GPx). The histopathological examination showed that the treatment of Onchengyeum and curcumin relieved the ballooning degeneration of hepatocytes which had been generated by CCl_(4). The results suggested that hepatoprotective effects of Onchengyeum and curcumin possibly are due to their promising antioxidative activity.

Iridology, developed more than 100 years ago, is the diagnosis of medical conditions through noting irregularities of the pigmentation in the iris The purpose of this study is to compare interrelation between CVA, hypertension family history and cardio-renal connective tissue in Iris Constitution through iris constitution examination. The subjects consist of 114 patients who were examined in Iris Constitution at Chonju Oriental Medicine Hospital attached to Wonkwang Univ. from September. 1St. 2000 to August. 31th. 2002. 1. In the distribution of Iris Constitution, among of 79cases, There are neurogenic type 13cases, abdominal connective tissue weakness constitution 31 cases, cardio-renal connective tissue weakness constitution 6 cases, cholesterol 7 cases and others 22 case in control group. 2. There are familial history of CVA and hypertention 32 cases, no familial history of CVA and hypertention1 3 cases, in 35cases of experimental group. These results imply that there is meaningfulness of interrelation between cardio-renal connective tissue weakness constitution and. CVA, hypertention.

과학적 상황과 일상적 상황에 따른 초등학생들의 용해 개념

This study is to know the elementary school pupils' dissolution conceptions according to the two contexts, scientific and everyday, especially characteristics and styles of the students' conceptions, and to analyze their misconceptions. In this study, 445 students (male 214 and female 231) were selected from the 4th to 6th grade of two elementary schools in the urban and the rural area. The questions were consisted of solution, homogeneity of a solution, concentration, conservation of mass and solubility of solid. The students were given altogether five pairs of paper and pencil type questions about dissolution. Two questions within each pair had the same cognitive demand except contexts. First, the questions of everyday context were administrated and, two weeks later, the questions of scientific context. In the results of this study, significant difference was found between the responses of each context. The pupils' achievements of dissolution concepts were significantly higher in scientific contexts than in everyday contexts. There was no significant difference between the male and the female students, but between the urban and the rural. The urban students have more correct scientific dissolution conceptions than the rural. As a result, pupils' concepts have the context dependancy that students adopts differently when the question contexts are different in spite of the same concepts.

麗朝 景幾體歌의 性格 : 景幾體歌의 形成 및 構造를 中心으로 Concentrating on their formation and structure

In Spite of the Variety of its form, the name of Kyung-ki-che-ka(景幾體歌) is derived from the fact that it ends with 「…Kyung-ki-ha-yo(…景幾何如)」 in the last phrase. The first work of it is 「Han-lim-pyul-kog(翰林別曲)」 in the middle of Koryo dynasty. In that time there were generating successively many literary genres, for instance Si-hwa(詩話)·Ka-jeon(假傳)·Sa(詞) etc,. Therefore Kyung-ki-che-ka(景幾體歌) must be examined giving attention to its relation with these other genres. 「Han-lim-pyul-kog(翰林別曲)」, to be canon of its style, is the text of a song in its content, and 「Kwan-dong-pyul-kog(關東別曲)」·「Jug-ke-pyul-kog(竹溪別曲)」 may be said to be poems for recitation rather than the text of a song. The form of 「Han-lim-pyul-kog(翰林別曲)」 is almost formal, but it does not have the same definite form as the Chinese poetry does. This slightly informal phenomenon, which results from the difference in the number of words (about from 2 to 6 words) is found clearly in 「Kwan-dong-pyul-kog(關東別曲)」·「Jug-ke-pyul-kog(竹溪別曲)」. Therefore, we can say that though their form is originated from the form of 「Han-lim-pyul-kog(翰林別曲)」, they demonstrate that they were created in the process of its formation, independent from the difinite form to some degree. 「…Kyung-ki-ha-yo(…景幾何如)」 is the phrase directly related to the nature of Kyung-ki-che-ka(景幾體歌). It is through this unique phrase that the theme is represented and exaggerated. But it has the limitation that it cannot express the substantial feeling of the poet. In order to get over this limitaton, the structure of the successive chapters and the structure of the divided clauses, in which each chapter consists of the former long clause and the latter short clause, are designed. And by placing this phrase 「…Kyung-ki-ha-yo(…景幾何如)」 at the end of each clause, the theme can be more manifestly expressed. As previously said, out of the three works of Kyung-ki-che-ka(景幾體歌) in Koryo Dynasty, 「Han-lim-pyul-kog(翰林別曲)」 is regarded to be sung as the text of a song, 「Kwan-dong-pyul-kog(關東別曲)」 and 「Jug-ke-pyul-kog(竹溪別曲)」 as poems for recitation. According to this distiction of their characteristic, we must not say that the three Kyung-ki-che-ka(景幾體歌) are all belong to the kind of 「Han-lim-pyul-kog(翰林別曲)」. At the same lime, the relevance of 「Han-lim-pyul-kog(翰林別曲)」 to Sog-yo (俗謠) must be studied, because there is affinity between 「Han-lim-pyul-kog(翰林別曲)」 and Sog-yo(俗謠) in that they were both selected as Ag-Jang(樂章) to be sung at Court. This research of both relation can make clear the characteristic of Koryo-ka-yo(高麗歌謠).

요코미츠 리이치의 소설에 나타난 영화적 표현기법 : 『화원의 사상』을 중심으로 "The Thoughts in the Garden"

The purpose of this thesis is to observe the connection between author Yokomitsu and motion picture, and to investigate how his participation in the film production affects, his literary works. The close connection between his participation in the film production and a literary work, "The Thoughts in the Garden" has been observed. In his works, "Fly" and "Head and Body", protagonist's sight was fixed, but the shifts of its sight around the object were detected in his work, "The Thoughts in the Garden" which had been written after his participation in the film production. It is said that the production techniques used in the motion picture such as "Close-up" and expression method adopted in his work such as "Shift of Sight" are similar. In conclusion, author Yokomitsu learned new expression method from the film production and adapted it in his work, "The Thoughts in the Garden".

The purpose of this study was to examine the proper quantity of barley flour, bean flour, or starch mixing with wheat flour, bread materials in making bread. The findings may be summarized as follows : (1) when we mix wheat flour with less than 10% to 20% of barley flour, bean flour, or starch, we can substitute it for the bread made in unmixed wheat flour. (2) When we mix wheat flour with more than 30% of barley flour, bean flour, or starch, we can not substitute it for the bread made in unmixed wheat flour.
