      • Formation of silicon nanoparticles by a pressure induced nucleation mechanism.

        <P>Formation of silicon nanoparticles (SiNPs) was achieved using excimer laser crystallization of an amorphous Si (a-Si) thin film using a SiO2 capping layer (C/L) with improved thin-film transistor (TFT) performance due to the enlarged grain size of polycrystalline Si (poly-Si). After laser irradiation of an a-Si thin film covered with C/L, fluctuation in the surface morphology of the C/L was observed above the critical laser energy density (Ecr) with the formation of SiNPs. The grain size of the poly-Si layer after crystallization increased abruptly at the same time. A non-uniform pressure distribution beneath the SiO2 C/L was proposed for the initiation of nucleation, which is named pressure induced nucleation (PIN) mechanism. Following nucleation, the release of latent heat made it difficult for the remnant liquid Si to solidify and the volume increased due to the density difference between the liquid and solid Si. Consequently, the pressure on the liquid Si caused SiNPs to sprout through the SiO2 C/L as grains grew from the low temperature to high temperature point. This study offers not only a simple method to fabricate SiNPs with controllable size/density but also larger grain size with lower laser energy density, which leads to higher TFT performance.</P>

        A New Sesame Variety, “Kangbaek” with Disease Resistance, Lodging Tolerence and High Yield

        A new sesame variety Kangbaek was developed from Yeongnam Agricultural Research Institute in 2004. Cros wasmade by lodging resistant SP9003-3 line to the F1with high yielding capacity, folowed by pedigree selection, yield test and RYT by the sesame breeding team at the National Insti-tute of Crop Science up to 2003. The variety showed higher disease resistance, especially phytophothra disease, and lodging resis-respectively. It's 1000 grains weight was about 2.54 g indicating 0.03 g heavier than that of Yangbaekkae, and it's oil content wasabout 52%. Kangbaek also contained total 7.65mg/g of such lignans as sesamin and sesamolin. The average yield of Kang-baek was 82 kg per 10a at the national-wide regional performance.

      • 사연 및 동판저수지의 식물성 플랑크톤에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 1994년 2,5,8,11월의 4회에 걸쳐 실시하였다. 조사 결과 동정 분류된 식물성 프랑크톤은 사연호가 6강 126분류군, 동판저수지가 5강 100분류군으로 전체 6강 211분류군이 출현하였다. 월별 종조성은 사연호에서 5월이 50분류군, 8월이 43분류군, 2월이 31분류군 순으로 출현하였다. 동판저수지는 5월이 49분류군, 11월이 27분류군, 2월 25분류군, 8월이 24분류군 순이다. 강별 구성비에서 두 지역모두 녹조강이 가장 많고 다음이 규조강 순이다. 전체 종조성은 사연호는 녹조강 54.3%, 규조강이 25.2%, 유글레나강 7.9%, 남조강 7.1%, 황녹조강 4.7%, 황갈조강 0.8%순이다. 동판저수지의 전출현 종에 대한 종조성은 규조강 51.4%, 녹조강33.9%, 유글레나강 11.0%, 황갈조강 3.7%, 황녹조강 10.9%의 종조성을 나타내었다. 환경요인은 pH의 경우 사연호 8월에 9.28로 가장 높고, DO는 동판 5월이 12.3㎎/ℓ으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 클로로필 a는 사연 2월이 13.1㎎/㎥로 가장 높으며, 부유물질은 동판저수지 5월에 85.0㎎/ℓ으로 가장 높았다. Phytoplankton flora of Sayoun and Tongpan-Reservoirs were studied. A total of 204 taxa (Sayoun-Reservoir, 126 taxa : Tongpan-Reservoir, 100 taxa) were indentified. The Major taxa of two localities was Chlorophyceae 46.7% and Bacillariophyceae 35.1%. As the bloom causing species. Microcystis aeruginosa. Ceratium hirudinella and Peridinium divergens were identified. The chlorophyll a concentration of Tongpan-Reservoir was higher then Sayoun-Reservoir.

        Neuroreceptors and transporters have an important role in brain function.Parkinson's disease is a common neurodegenerative disorder that is mainly causedby dopaminergic neuron loss in the substantia nigra.Distribution, density, and activity of neuroreceptors and transporters can bevisualized by radiotracers with PET and SPECT.In vivo PET and SPECT imaging of presynaptic dopamine imaing are alreadyapplied to Parkinson's disease and other parkinsonism, and can demonstrate thedopaminergic dysfunction.Dopamine transporter imaging is useful in the diagnosis of Parkinson's diseaseand the most successful technique in the clinical use of neuroreceptor imaging.​Recently, several radiopharmaceuticals including 123I-FP-CIT, 99mTc-TRODATand 18F-FP-CIT for dopamine transporter imaging have been approved for theroutine clinical use in several European countries, Taiwan and Korea, respectively.Therefore, In this paper an overview of Parkinson's disease medicines for diag-nosis and radioactive 18F-FP-CIT using a PET/CT imaging has confirmed theusefulness of the clinical use.

      • 들깨잎의 揮發性 香氣成分에 關한 硏究

        To investigate the volatile flavor components of perilla leaves, analyses of kinds of cultivar by GC, GC/MS, UV, IR and NMR were carried out. The results obtained were summarized as follows : 1. The essential oils were extracted with diethyl ether after steam disillation. 2. The identified volatiles include 10 hydrocarbones, 6 alcohols, 3 aldehydes, 2 ketones and 1 miscellaneous components. 3. The major volatile component perilla ketone was identified by UV, IR and NMR spectrum. 4. The perilla ketone were identified in Suwon 8, 19, 21, 23, 24, 25, 26 and purpurea while perillaldehyde was identified in purpurea only.

Therefore interior-architecture that have a tendency to minimalism has based on modernity of modern architecture, and apply primary form of geometric, purity and scheme of composition, objecthood of thing. The space of minimalism emphasize of homogenized space and experienced place, the mode of minimalism represent of the minimum and abstraction of element.

        선박용 폐 FRP 수지의 재활용 공정 개발

        A recycling process for the waste FRP from boats was developed. The recycling process is composed of decomposition of waste FRP with propylene glycol and synthesis of recycled unsaturated polyester resin from the decomposed liquid material. Prior to the decomposition, waste FRP was cut into 2cm × 5cm segments and mechanical impact was applied by press roller to give gaps between cumulated laminates. Propylene glycol effectively decomposed the waste FRP segments and glass fibers were easily separated from decomposed liquid material. Recycled unsaturated polyester resin could be made from the decomposed liquid material by reaction with maleic anhydride and phthalic anhydride.

        Fracture healing is a complex physiological process that involves the coordinated participation of several cell types. Unlike other tissues that heal by the formation of poorly organized scar, in fracture healing the original tissue, bone, is regenerated and the properties of the preexisting tissue largely are restored. Fracture healing generally proceeds in an orderly fashion when appropriate biological and mechanical component are present. Many complications may occur with repair and subsequent healing of fracture, including osteomyelitis, implant loosening, and fracture instability. All of these complications may result in delayed union, nonunion or malunion of the fracture. A 1-year-old male, Collie sustained a closed, transverse femoral fracture in a mortor vehicle accident. His initial treatment with open reduction and bone plating was failed. A second surgery was done to remove the plate and perform corrective osteotomy, and bone grafting. Histopathological observation of the bone fragment from fracture end was carried.
