Clinical significance of anti-dense fine speckled 70 antibody in patients with fibromyalgia

Background/Aims: Fibromyalgia (FM) is a common rheumatologic disease characterized by chronic widespread pain, along with various clinical manifestations including atypical autoimmune characteristics. Despite its high prevalence, there remain no approved laboratory tests to identify specific manifestations of FM, or to rule out FM from other rheumatic diseases. Anti-dense fine speckled 70 (anti-DFS70) antibodies were initially identified as a form of anti-nuclear antibodies in a patient with interstitial cystitis. Anti-DFS70 antibodies are found in ≤ 10% of healthy individuals, but have suggestive negative association with autoimmune diseases; however, the clinical significance of these autoantibodies in FM patients remains poorly understood. Methods: We examined 39 patients with FM, along with 17 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and 19 healthy individuals (HI). Patients were compared based on physical measurements, disease duration, tender point counts, FM Impact Questionnaire (FIQ) scores, visual analog scale (VAS) for pain, somatic symptoms, and anti-DFS70 antibodies. Results: Levels of anti-DFS70 antibodies were significantly higher in the FM and HI groups than in those with SLE. Both anti-DFS70 antibodies and VAS scores were positively correlated with FM. Within the FM group, patients with arthralgia had higher anti-DFS70 antibody values compared to those without arthralgia (p = 0.024); antibody levels were also higher in patients with sleep disturbances relative to those without sleep issues (p = 0.024). In contrast, there were no correlations between anti-DFS70 antibodies and age, body mass index, disease duration, tender point counts, FIQ, short-form health survey results, or other clinical manifestations. Conclusions: Anti-DFS70 antibodies may represent a useful biomarker for differentiating between FM and other autoimmune diseases. The levels of anti-DFS70 antibodies were also significantly higher among patients with arthralgia and sleep disturbances. Further investigations are necessary to evaluate the relationships between anti-DFS70 antibodies and other cytokines as a predictive marker for pain.

Elastin-like polypeptides (ELPs), which are composed of repeat unit VPGXG, are stimulus-responsive protein-based biopolymers, and some ELP block copolymers can assemble spherical nanoparticles with thermo-sensitivity. In this study, three different diblock ELPs composed of VPGKG and VPGVG with different ratios (1:8, 1:4, and 1:2) were synthesized, and dependence of their physical properties on ELP concentration, pH, temperature, and salt concentration was investigated. While K8V64 (1:8 ratio) did not form a micelle because of the relatively small portion of the charged moiety, both K16V64 and K32V64 formed hydrophobic micelles by self-assembly when the environmental conditions were changed. As a results, they would not be aggregated due to the repulsive force between the same charged molecules.

Predicting stock price fluctuations only with fixed information, which is a general price in the stock market, is a very difficult method because it is related to various factors related to companies. To solve this, we propose a method that incorporates qualitative information in stock price crack prediction. We analyzed various types of disclosure documents which are associated with such events and extracted text-based features from them. We then utilized the disclosure-related features in forecasting stock price fluctuations. After creating a Down model to classify disclouse documents, we used other machine learning algorithms to compare and analyze them. We also created a Up model to compare whether the disclosure document is more affected by stock price crack. Various experiments have proven that our approach can increase the predictability of stock price crack.
전통 취락경관의 특색: 자연환경을 반영한 제주와 피코 돌문화경관을 중심으로

본 연구는 화산섬으로 이뤄진 유사한 자연환경 하에서 돌문화경관을 이룬 제주도와 피코섬이 상이한 문화·역사적 맥락에서 어떻게 독특한 취락경관을 형성했는지 살펴보고 두 지역 간 유사하면서도 차이가 나는 경관요소별 특색을 비교하고자 하였다. 문헌연구와 현지조사를 통해 제주도와 피코섬의 자연환경을 분석하고 그러한 자연환경이 반영되어 나타나는 각 섬의 전통 취락경관을 돌문화경관을 중심으로 비교 고찰하였다. 그 결과 두 지역의 돌문화경관을 구성하는 석조 문화유산들이 모두 현무암을 이용하였다는 점에서 재료적 유사성을 지니며 유사한 용도의 문화유산 간 형태적 유사성도 확인되었다. 또한 돌담과 관련하여 두 지역 모두 해풍으로부터의 보호와 사유지 경계 구축을 위해 활용하였다는 점에서 기능적 유사성을 확인할 수 있었다. 두 경관의 특색이 달리 나타나는 이유는 근본적으로 지질연대에 따른 토양 발달과 관련된 생산활동의 차이에서 비롯되며, 또한 각 지역의 고유한 문화·역사적 배경 및 육지로부터의 접근성과 정착역사의 차이에서 기인한 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to examine how Jeju Island and Pico Island, which have stone culture landscape under the similar natural environment of volcanic island, formed unique rural settlement landscape in different cultural and historical contexts and to compare the characteristics of landscape elements. We compared the physical environment and stone cultural landscape elements of each island through literature review and field surveys. As a result it was identified that the stone cultural heritage that constitutes the stone cultural landscape of both areas had material similarity in that all of them were made of basalt rocks. Morphological similarity between cultural heritage of the two islands for similar uses was also identified. Regarding the stone walls, functional similarity was verified in that the walls in both islands were used to protect crops from sea breeze and to build boundaries of private land. The distinctive features of the two landscapes were resulted from the fundamentally different geological ages and the development of the soil, as well as the unique cultural and historical background of each region, and the difference in accessibility from mainland and the history of settlement.

This paper proposes using machine-learning technology to analyze and classify historical collected documents based on them. Data is collected based on keywords associated with a specific domain and the non-conceptuals such as special characters are removed. Then, tag each word of the document collected using a Korean-language morpheme analyzer with its nouns, verbs, and sentences. Embedded documents using Doc2Vec model that converts documents into vectors. Measure the similarity between documents through the embedded model and learn the document classifier using the machine running algorithm. The highest performance support vector machine measured 0.83 of F1-score as a result of comparing the classification model learned.

Electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy is a powerful tool for establishing the quantum coherence of molecular spin qubits [1]. In order to determine their performance as quantum bits for quantum information processing, it is important to integrate them into solid-state substrates and characterize their interaction with the electrons of the substrate. However, this characterization requires tailored spectrometers with sufficient surface sensitivity. Here, we utilize α, γ-bisdiphenylene-β-phenylallyl (BDPA) and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) thin film as samples to characterize a home-built surface-sensitive ESR spectrometer. Both molecules are traditional standards in the ESR technique and have different characteristics on the surfaces [2], [3]. The spectrometer operates in the X band (10 GHz) in both continuous wave and pulsed mode in a wide range of temperature (2.5-300 K) and magnetic field (0-3.2 T). To maximize the microwave field in a 2D spin system, we developed a coplanar-type resonator, on whose surface we deposited the molecular films. We demonstrate a spin sensitivity of 1012 spins / G · √Hz in continuous wave mode at room temperature, allowing ESR measurements down to a single layer of molecular spins.
