Fabrication of Ag/In2O3/TiO2/HNTs hybrid-structured and plasma effect photocatalysts for enhanced charges transfer and photocatalytic activity

        Huiqin Wang,Dongyao Wu,Chongyang Liu,Jingru Guan,Jinze Li,Pengwei Huo,XINLIN LIU,Qian Wang,Yongsheng Yan 한국공업화학회 2018 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.67 No.-

The purpose of this work designed hybrid-structured and plasma effect photocatalyst of Ag/In2O3/TiO2/HNTs via sol–gel and photo-reduction methods. The structures, morphologies, optical and photoelectric performances of as-prepared photocatalysts were characterized via XRD, TEM, XPS, BET, UV–vis DRS, PL and photocurrents. The photocatalytic activity was evaluated by degradation of TC. The results showed that the hybrid-structure and plasma effect can effectively cause the multi-transfer of electrons and increase the separation rate of electron and hole pairs which obtained high photocatalytic activity. The photocatalytic degradation processes reveal that O2− and h+ are major active species.

Selection of Reliable Reference Genes for Real-time qRT-PCR Analysis of Zi Geese (Anser anser domestica) Gene Expression

        Ji, Hong,Wang, Jianfa,Liu, Juxiong,Guo, Jingru,Wang, Zhongwei,Zhang, Xu,Guo, Li,Yang, Huanmin Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2013 Animal Bioscience Vol.26 No.3

Zi geese (Anser anser domestica) belong to the white geese and are excellent layers with a superior feed-to-egg conversion ratio. Quantitative gene expression analysis, such as Real-time qRT-PCR, will provide a good understanding of ovarian function during egg-laying and consequently improve egg production. However, we still don't know what reference genes in geese, which show stable expression, should be used for such quantitative analysis. In order to reveal such reference genes, the stability of seven genes were tested in five tissues of Zi geese. Methodology/Principal Findings: The relative transcription levels of genes encoding hypoxanthine guanine phosphoribosyl transferase 1 (HPRT1), ${\beta}$-actin (ACTB), ${\beta}$-tubulin (TUB), glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate-dehydrogenase (GADPH), succinate dehydrogenase flavoprotein (SDH), 28S rRNA (28S) and 18S rRNA (18S) have been quantified in heart, liver, kidney, muscle and ovary in Zi geese respectively at different developmental stages (1 d, 2, 4, 6 and 8 months). The expression stability of these genes was analyzed using geNorm, NormFinder and BestKeeper software. Conclusions: The expression of 28S in heart, GAPDH in liver and ovary, ACTB in kidney and HPRT1 in muscle are the most stable genes as identified by the three different analysis methods. Thus, these genes are recommended for use as candidate reference genes to compare mRNA transcription in various developmental stages of geese.

Chlorophyll Degradation and Lignification of Fresh-cut Water Fennel Treated with a Complex Chemical Solution and Subsequent Packaging

        Runqiang Yang,Jingru Wang,Xintian Nie,Yan Zhuang,Zhenxin Gu,Qianghui Guo 한국식품과학회 2016 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.25 No.2

Fresh-cut water fennel was treated with a novel complex chemical solution and subsequently packaged prior to refrigerated storage. Chlorophyll degradation and lignification were investigated. The complex solution consisted of 1.16 g/L calcium lactate, 150 mg/L zinc acetate, and 15.29 mg/L salicylic acid. Chlorophyllase, Mg-dechelatase, and chlorophyll-degrading peroxidase activities of water fennel decreased after immersion in the complex solution, which delayed chlorophyll degradation and increased L* and a* values. Complex solution treatment also reduced phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL) activity and, thus, inhibited accumulation of lignin. After the complex solution treatment, packaging in high-density polypropylene plastic bags further retained chlorophylls and alleviated lignification of water fennel. Treatment with a complex chemical solution and subsequent packaging can maintain the quality, delay senescence, and improve the shelf life of water fennel.

Effects of vitamin A supplementation in the diet of breeding geese on offspring intestinal tissue morphology and immune performance

        Yang Haiming,Liang Jingru,Dai Hang,Wan Xiaoli,Wang Zhiyue 아세아·태평양축산학회 2020 Animal Bioscience Vol.33 No.9

Objective: The effects of maternal and offspring dietary vitamin A (VA) supplementation on early body weight, digestive tract function and immune function in goslings were studied. Methods: Yangzhou geese (180 d old) were randomly divided into 5 experimental groups of 15 females and 3 males (the males were kept until slaughter). Eggs were collected for hatching during the peak laying period. A total of 96 goslings were selected from each treatment group (each fed a basic diet supplemented with 0, 4,000, 8,000, 12,000 or 16,000 IU/kg VA) and randomly divided into 2 groups, with 6 replicates in each group and 8 goslings in each replicate. The gosling diet was supplemented with 0 or 9,000 IU/kg VA. Results: i) Villus length, villus width and the muscle thickness of the duodenum, jejunum and ileum were increased and the crypt depth was reduced after adding 12,000 IU/kg VA to the goslings’ diet (p<0.05). Adding 9,000 IU/kg VA to the offspring diet increased the length of the duodenal villi and width of the ileum and decreased the crypt depth of the ileum (p<0.05). ii) Supplementing the maternal diet with 12,000 IU/kg VA increased immune organ weight, the immune organ index and immunoglobulin content in goslings (p<0.05). The bursa weight and immunoglobulin G content of offspring were higher in the 9,000 IU/kg VA supplementation group than in the group with no supplementation (p<0.05). Conclusion: Offspring growth and development were affected by the amount of VA added into maternal diet. The negative effect of maternal VA deficiency on offspring can be compensated by adding VA to the offspring diet. Continued VA supplementation in the offspring diet after excessive VA supplementation in the maternal diet is unfavorable for gosling growth and development.

Salt-Free and Alkali-Free Fixing Method of Wool Fabric Dyeing in Non-Aqueous Media Dyeing System

        Liujun Pei,Jingyuan Yi,Jingru Chen,Wenhua Shi,Wenzhao Cao,Hongjuan Zhang,Jiping Wang 한국섬유공학회 2023 Fibers and polymers Vol.24 No.1

Non-aqueous media dyeing is an important water-saving and salt-free dyeing technology in the textile dyeing industry. In thisinvestigation, a salt-free and alkaline-free dyeing technology was developed for wool fabrics. After padding with reactivedye solution, wool fabric was fixed in a non-aqueous medium at 90 °C for 90 s. After washing, the fixation of reactive dyecan achieve more than 98% in a salt-free and alkali-free dyeing environment. The effect of fixing method on the physicalproperties of wool fabrics was analyzed by TGA, DSC, and XRD. Compared with steam and cold batch fixing method, thefixing process in non-aqueous medium has little effect on the mechanical properties of wool fabrics. The final decompositiontemperature of wool fabric dyed with non-aqueous medium was about 46 °C, which was higher than that of the fabric samplesdyed by other methods. Moreover, the crystallinity of wool fiber was increased after non-aqueous fixation process. And nonaqueousmedium had no influence on the surface morphology of wool fabrics. For non-aqueous medium and steaming fixingmethods, there were only hydrolyzed dyes, but some hetero-bifunctional dyes were detected in the cold batching system, indicating that reactive dyes could effectively react with wool fibers in non-aqueous medium and steaming fixing system.

Fabricated Ag/Ag2S/reduced graphene oxide composite photocatalysts for enhancing visible light photocatalytic and antibacterial activity

        Pengwei Huo,Chongyang Liu,Dongyao Wu,Jingru Guan,Jinze Li,Huiqin Wang,Qi Tang,Xiuying Li,Yongsheng Yan,Shouqi Yuan 한국공업화학회 2018 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.57 No.-

In this work, we reported one kind of photocatalytic and antibacterial materials, Ag/Ag2S/reducedgraphene oxide (rGO), which prepared by the hydrothermal and UV-light-assisted reduction methods. The Ag2S nanoparticals were well dispersed on the surface of rGO as revealed by series ofcharacterization. The obtained Ag/Ag2S/rGO photocatalyst showed excellent photocatalytic degradationefficiency of 87.6% for ciprofloxacin (CIP) under visible light irradiation and outstanding antibacterialactivity for Escherichia coli (E. coli) which reached to 97.76% in 24 h. The trapping of active species showedthat the hydroxyl radicals, holes and superoxide radicals played important roles in the photocatalyticdegradation of CIP processes.

Hypoglycemic and Hypolipidemic Activity of Polygonatum sibiricum Fermented with Lactobacillus brevis YM 1301 in Diabetic C57BL/6 Mice

        Caiyun Li,Jixia Li,Yaxian Shang,Yao Wang,Jingru Gao,Nan Xue,Chunying Huang,Farong Li,Jia Li 한국식품영양과학회 2021 Journal of medicinal food Vol.24 No.7

Polygonatum sibiricum (PS) has been used as herbal medicine to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). However, how lactic acid fermentation of PS influences glucose and lipid metabolism remains unclear. The current study was undertaken to evaluate the hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic effects of PS fermented with Lactobacillus brevis YM 1301 (YM 1301) in streptozotocin and high-fat diet-induced T2DM mice. Biochemical analysis revealed that supplementation with metformin, PS, or fermented Polygonatum sibiricum (FPS) lowered the fasting blood glucose, insulin, total cholesterol, triglyceride, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol of diabetic mice. FPS showed relatively more potency to reduce the homeostasis model assessment-insulin resistance and glycated hemoglobin than PS. Moreover, a high dosage of FPS protected against glucose intolerance and insulin resistance by increasing the ratio of phosphor-AKT/AKT. Histological examination and quantitative polymerase chain reaction results showed that dietary FPS ameliorated the lipid accumulation in liver and white adipose tissue (WAT) by inhibiting lipogenesis, enhancing lipolysis, and fatty acid oxidation. FPS exhibited greater efficacy than PS on improving the transcriptional expression of adipose triacylglyceride lipase, carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1, and uncoupling protein 1. In addition, FPS exerted a striking anti-inflammatory effect by suppressing the expression of interleukin 6, interleukin 1β, tumor necrosis factor-α, and transforming growth factor-β in WAT of diabetic C57BL/6 mice. Finally, FPS supplementation enhanced the activation of AMPK. In conclusion, these results suggest that the FPS may be more promising than PS as a potential therapeutic agent for diabetes and obesity.

Cloning and structure of a histocompatibility class IIA gene (Lelo-DAA) in Chinese longsnout catfish (Leiocassis longirostris)

        Tong Shen,Jianming Li,Xiaoshun He,Meiling Lei,Jingru Wang,Xiuming Li 한국유전학회 2014 Genes & Genomics Vol.36 No.6

Here, the major histocompatibility complex(MHC) class II alpha chain gene in the Chinese longsnoutcatfish (Leiocassis longirostris) was characterized throughcloning, sequencing, polymorphism analysis, and expressionpatterns in various tissues. The full-length LeloDAAcDNA comprises 1,114 bp with a 50-UTR region of 79 bp,an open reading frame of 714 bp and a 30-UTR of 302 bp. The deduced protein sequence shows the followingimportant features: leader peptide, a1, a2, and CP/TM/CYT regions. Using long PCR techniques, the genomicsequence was further identified to be 2,093 bp in length, containing four exons and three introns. Three class IIAalleles were identified from four individuals. Two differentalleles observed (at most) in each individual suggest theexistence of a single locus of class IIA gene in the Chineselongsnout catfish genome. This locus is polymorphic andmost of the amino acidic changes occurred in the a1domain containing the peptide-binding region. Lelo-DAAmRNA expression was mainly found in the intestine, gills, spleen, head kidney and liver; minor expression wasdetected in the stomach, skin, heart and muscle. Our resultsyield insight into Chinese longsnout catfish T cell immuneresponses and will aid future work on the genetic status ofthis economically important species.
