Ti-NI wire 강화 Al 기 복합재료의 계면 및 기계적 성질

The Ti-Ni/Al Composites were fabricated by the squeeze casting method. They were fabricated using Ti-50.2at.% Ni wire with diameter of 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7㎜ and with volume fraction of 5, 10 and 15 under the applied stress of 80㎫ at 473K. The as-cast structure and interface reaction were observed Optical microscope(OM) and Scanning electron microscope(SEM). The microstructures of shape memory treated(ice quenching after heat treated for 30minutes at 773K) composites were: fined more than as-cast structure and the micro structures fined more larger volume fraction than the smaller volume fraction. In the case of shape memory treated Ti-Ni/Al composite, Al was diffused to Ti-Ni wire. In the long fiber, the interface reaction was not affected by pressure. When shape memory treated composites were tensed at 353K, occurred compressed stress by restoring force of shape memory alloy. The strength and elongation of Ti-Ni/Al composites increased with decreasing Ti-Ni wire diameter.

Error Analysis of 3-Dimensional GPS Attitude Determination System

In this paper, the error investigation of a 3-dimensional GPS attitude determination system using the error covariance analysis is given. New efficient formulas for computing the Euler Angle Dilution of Precision (EADOP) are also derived. The formulas are easy to compute and represent the attitude error as a function of the nominal attitude of a vehicle, the baseline configuration and the receiver noise. Using the formula, the accuracy of the Euler angle can be analytically predicted without the use of computer simulations. Applications to some configurations reveal the effectiveness of the proposed method.
Synthesis and Photoisomerization Properties of Polynorbornenes with Azobenzene Chromophores

We successfully synthesized the addition-type polynorbonenes (PNB) exhibiting photochromic properties and excellent thermal stability. Three norbornene-based monomers with different azobenzene moiety (R=NO2, H,OCH3) were synthesized by transesterification method. The corresponding PNB copolymers were synthesized by transition metal-catalyzed addition polymerization method, and characterized by GPC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, NMR, and thermal analysis. For comparison of the photochromic properties depending on the rigidity of polymer backbone, we prepared the polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) copolymer with the corresponding azobenzene moiety. We investigated the photoisomerization behavior by means of optical muitichannel analyzer with Xe lamp as well as real-time UV-Vis spectroscopy with high-pressure mercury lamp. Among three PNB copolymers, a polymer with azobenzene (R=H) was the most adaptable for observation of photoisomerization behavior. It was found that the rate of photoisomerization and relaxation depended on the structure of azobenzene chromophore, rather than that of polymer backbone.

N/A The microstructure and tensile properties of Mg-Zn-Ca and Mg-Zn-Mn-Ca alloys have been investigated. The alloys were obtained by melting in a low carbon crucible coated with boron nitride under an Ar gas atmosphere to prevent oxidation and combustion. The Mg alloy melt was cast into the metallic mold at room temperature, and cooling part was located at the bottom of mold. The phase formed during solidification of the Mg-Zn-(Mn) alloys containing 0.5%Ca is Ca₂Mg_6Zn₃,. The yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the alloys increased with increasing Zn content, but the ductility did not change with increasing Zn content. The addition of Mn improves the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the alloys, but the ductility did not change. Tensile fracture of the alloys revealed brittle failure, with cracking along the Ca₂Mg_6Zn₃, phase. The variation of stress with strain obeyed the relationship of the σ=Kε. We found that resveratrol enhances interferon (IFN)-y-induced tryptophanyl-tRNA-synthetase (TTS) expression in bone marrow- derived dendritic cells (BMDCs). Resveratrol-induced TTS expression is associated with glycogen synthase kinase-3B (GSK-3B) activity. In addition, we found that resveratrol regulates naive CD8+ T-cell polarization by modulating GSK-3B activity in IFN-Y-stimulated BMDCs, and that resveratol induces upregulation of TTS in CD8+ T-cells in the in vivo tumor environment. Taken together, resveratrol upregulates IFN-Y-induced TTS expression in a GSK-3B-dependent manner, and this TTS modulation is crucial for DC-mediated T-cell modulation.
