        Electronic scrap is one of the most important sources of raw material for the precious metal refiner. Because of the significant technological changes and growth taking place in the electronics industry, electronic scrap supplies are also expected to undergo significant change. In this paper we will discuss only obsolute electronics scrap. It was found using a crushing electronics scrap that silver can respectively be dissolved at much greater rate by acidic solutions of thiourea and by conventional cyanidation techniques. Dissolution rates are dependent on thiourea and oxidant and oxidant concentration, and appear to be controlled partially by chemical phenomina and by transport of ions to the scrap.

      • CV黑鉛鑄鐵의 黑鉛型態 및 機械的 性質에 미치는 Ni첨가 효과에 관한 연구

        In this study, an easy production method of CV (Compacted/vermicular) graphite cast iron with small addition of a Ni which is known as the element of the graphitization was investigated. And so, the effects of fading (holding) time and of Ni addition after the treatments with spheroidizer (Fe-Si-Mg-Ca-Al-Ti-Ce) were also investigated. The results obtained are as follows. 1. According as Ni contents in CV molten cast iron increase, the graphite No. and CV radio were increased. And so, graphite form and the distribution of the graphite were homogenized. 2. When the addition treated with Ni, the tensile strength were increased, and the effect of fading time were decreased.

      • Fe-Al 금속간 화합물의 조직과 기계적성질에 관한 연구

        The intermetallic compound materials has various merits such as high temperature strengh, good resistance oxidation, etc. However, it is not available for use because of its room temperature brittleness and low ductility. This study was carried out through high temperature tensile test, heat treatment, OM, TEM, SEM, EDS for the purpose of improving mechanical prorerties. The results are as follows. 1. Grain size and homegenization effect decreased by homegenization heat treatment. 2. When Fe-23%Al alloy was solidified unidirectionally, elongation was increased and yield strength was decreased as compared with commercial solidification. 3. After tensile strength tested in polycrystals alloys, the fractographys were grain boundary and intergranular cleavage frature type, but it were transgranular and intergranular cleavage type at the unidirectionally solidified samples.

      • Al-Si合金의 閃光法에 의한 熱擴散係數測定에 關한 硏究

        本 硏究를 通하여 얻은 結果는 다음과 같다. 1. Al-Si 合金에서 Si量이 增加할수록 熱擴散係數는 감소하나, 共晶組成(Al-12%Si) 部近에서는 亞共晶, 過共晶組成에 비하여 약간 增加하였다. 비열과 비중등의 조건이 一定하다면 熱擴散係數는 pure Al 이 8.47, 亞共晶(6%)組成이 3.24, 共晶組成(12%)이 3.99, 過共晶組成(18%Si)이 3.01(×10-5m2/sec)이다. 2. Cu, P, Na로 개량처리 하였을 때 共晶組成이내에서는 Cu의 경우에 열확산계수가 가장 적었으나, 과공정조성에서는 Cu의 경우가 가장 높았다. After pure Al, Al-6% Si(hypoeutectic composition), Al-12% Si(eutectic comp.) and Al-18% Si(hypereutectic comp.) among Al-Si alloys were treated refinement with addition of Cu(0.5%), P(0.5%) or Na(0.5%), their thermal diffusivities were measured by flash method. And then their microstructures and thermal diffusivities were investigated. The results obtained are as follows. 1. According as sillicon contents in Al-Si alloys increase, the thermal diffusivities decreases, but it increases slightly at eutectic composition(Al-12% Si alloy), if its density and heat capacity are constant, the thermal diffusivities are 8.47(pure Al), 3.24(6% Si), 3.99(12% Si) and 3.01(18% Si) (X10-5m/sec) respectively. 2. When the refinement treated with Cu, P, and Na, the effects of thermal diffusivities of alloys with Cu treated is the lowest under eutectic composition, but its effects is the best at hypereutectc composition.

        또 하나의 사회 : 광고에 표현된 한국적 vs 서구적 인간관계

        본 연구에서는 광고 비주얼에 표현된 인간관계의 문화적 차이에 따라 소비자의 심리반응이 어떻게 다른지 비교해보았다. 한국적(서구적) 인간관계를 부모 - 자녀, 온가족, 부부, 연인의 네 가지 관계유형으로 나누어 이를 묘사한 인쇄 광고물을 제작한 후, 소비자의 심리반응을 fMRI(기능성 자기 공명 영상) 기법과 설문조사 방법으로 측정하였다. 소비자는 무의식적인 fMRI 반응과 의식적인 반응 모두에서 한국적 광고보다는 서구적 광고에서 더 좋은 반응을 보였다. 특히, 광고효과의 경우 연인광고를 제외한 다른 인간관계 광고들 모두에서 서구적 광고가 더 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 이렇게 전반적으로 서구적 인간관계 광고가 강한 신경 반응과 긍정적 광고효과를 수반하는 것은 한국인들이 상당히 서구적인 가치관을 가지고 있으며 이를 지향한다는 최근 연구결과와 일치한다. 끝으로, 본 연구결과가 갖는 크리에이티브 측면의 시사점을 제안하였다. 유형별 차이로는 연인이나 부부 광고는 무의식적 반응이나 감정반응에서 한국적인 광고가 보다 긍정적인 결과를 보이는 반면, 가족이 등장하는 광고에서는 서구적 광고가 더 긍정적인것으로 나타났는데, 이는 실험참가자가 인간관계 유형에 따라 다른 문화적 인식과 지향점을 갖으며, 이것이 광고반응에 영향을 미치고 있음을 보여준다. The purpose of the present research was to compare the psychological effects of the Korean human relations advertise(KHRA) to those of the Western human relations advertise(WHRA). The consumers’ physiological and conscious responses to the ads including visual images of Korean(vs. Western) four types of relationship - parentschildren, multi-generation family, married couple, and romantic couple - were measured by fMRI(functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and survey. The results revealed that consumers tend to respond more strongly and better to the WHRAs than the KHRAs. Especially, in terms of advertising impacts, the WHRAs were more effective than the KHRAs across the ads of all the three human relations except the ads of romantic couples. These results are consistent with the recent research findings suggesting the Westernizing sifts of Korean cultural values. Finally, they were discussed in the view of the implications of advertising creative tips.

      • Ni添加 CV黑鉛鑄鐵의 祖織과 機械的性質 및 熱物性値에 關한 硏究

        In this sthdy, an easy production method of CV graphite cast with iron with small adition of NI which is known as the elements of the graphitizon was inverstigated. And so, the effects of physical, mechanical and thernal properties by fading time, carbon equivalent and Ni addition after the treatments with spheroidizer(Fe-Mg), were also investigated. The results obtained from this study were as follows: 1. With an increase of carbon equivalent the CV ratio was a little increased but with an increase of addition of Ni plus Mg the graphite numbers and CV rato were greatly increased. And so, the form and distribution of graphite were homogenized. 2. With an addition of Ni the ferrire ratio were decreased and the parlite ratio were a little increased. 3. With an increase of CE and fading time the mechanical properties (tensile strength, ased. And so, in case of Mg an Ni plus Mg addition the mechanical properties were greatly increased. 4. With an incease of CE and fading time the thermal properties(thermal diffusivity and conductivity ) were increased but with addition of Ni plus Mg the thermal properties were speroidal graphite ratio. 5. For the addition of Ni plus Mg the results were obtained that the decrease of lading effect the increase of inoculation effect, the increase of CV graphite ratio.

        In order to develop the sound heavy section casting made of spheroidal graphite cast iron for spent fuel cask in place of forging products and evaluate their material properties, the research was graphite pretreatment for the increased of nodule counts and nodularity. Graphite nodularity of more than 80% and nodule count of more than 60 can be obtained at any position, andsothermal conductivity was decrease, the radiation damping capacity was a decreasing tendency by graphite pretreatment.

      • 무전해도금에 의한 다공성 니켈의 제조에 관한 연구

        A new process on the preparation of porous nickel by electroless plating was developed using fine graphite powders of 1㎛-2㎛ particle diameter and polyurethane foam. In this process, graphite powders were introduced into the pores(foams) existing within polyurethane foam in order to supply electric conducting seeds for nickel deposition by electroless plating reaction. After the electroless plating, remaining polyurethane was removed chemically using organic solvent and most of graphite powder seeds also removed by ultrasonic cleaning. Porous nickel plates with 250㎛-300㎛ thickness and porosity comparable to commercial sintered nickel plate were obtained and found out that the platesare of mono-layer structure composed of spherical nickel particles connected each other in two-dimensional scale.

      • 가스 분위기에서 제조한 Mg-Zn계 합금의 미세조직

        Microstructure of Mg-1 ~ 6wt%Zn, Mg-1.5wt%Mn and Mg-2wt%Zn-1.5wt%Mn alloys have been investigated by means of hardness test, optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy. The Mg alloy castings have been casted into the metallic mold with room temperature, and cooling part of metallic mold have located in it's lower part. The microstructure of Mg-Zn cast alloys revealed MgZn compound around the secondary dendrite arms. Analysis by scanning electron microscopy/energy dispersive spectroscopy showed that the composition of MgZn compound was Mg-77wt%Zn, which corresponds with the value of Mg-74.5wt%Zn given by Clack and Rhines. The addition of Mn in Mg-Zn alloys refined the grain size in as-casted alloys. Manganese additions also increased the vickers hardness.
