Data compression is needed for efficient transmission of the image data which have many redundanbies. Run-length coding is generally used for image data compression But in view of data processing by computers, run-length coding is not so desirable. We have studied about the Cascade-Division coding that is suitable for data compression with general purpose computer ormicrocomputer and then developed a software program of CD-encoding on a microprocessor 8080.

Limy bile is a rare condition characterized by excessive precipitation of calcium carbonate in the gallbladder or bile duct. Recently we experienced two cases with obstructive jaundice in which limy bile in the common bile duct but not in the gallbladder for one case, and in the common bile duct and intra hepatic duct but not in the gallbladder for another case. The patients were treated by endoscopic sphincterotomy. Here, we report the cases and review the literature.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the measurement of water exchange and a variation of the groundwater flow system between groundwater and lake water. A hypothetical flow through lake located at the middle portion of a watershed is considered. Groundwater flow is numerically simulated during 360 days under three dimensional transient condition. From the above simulation, it can be concluded that the amount of inflow from groundwater to a lake are less than the amount of discharge to groundwater in a lake watershed at all times. The most serious change of groundwater flow is occurred 270 days after. But it is recovered as steady state condition 360 days after. The rate of recharge to groundwater is gradually increased during 270 days. The amount of inflow to the lake is suddenly decreased 270 days after and then recovered 360 days after.

<Abstract> The purpose of this study was to investigate the kinematic variable of running motion of aged man in order to the suggestion of important information on a mechanism related to the decrease of physical performance in aged men. The subjects were consisted of 60 -aged men, and the motion of jogging and sprinting were measured using a high speed movie camera. The stride frequency of sprinting (2.81∼2.92) steps/s) showed a higher values (16%) than jogging, and the stride length of sprinting(1.25∼1.33m) showed a higher values(32.5%) than jogging, and the velocity of sprinting (4.24∼4.33m) showed a higher values(54.13%) than jogging. The differences of segment of angle and angle of ankle joint between jogging and sprinting showed 1°∼5°, respectively. There were showed th over-up of toe at foot strike and the hypo-extension of ankle joint at toe-off during the motion of foot. The differences of segment of angle and angle of knee joint between jogging and sprinting showed 1°∼5°, respectively. There were showed the hypo-extension on foot strike and the hypo-extension on toe-off during the motion of knee joint. The differences of segment of angle and angle of hip joint between jogging and sprinting showed 1°∼9°, respectively. There were showed the poor-up of knee at foot strike and the hypo-extension of hip joint at toe-off.
마이크로 컴퓨터의 音聲用 테이프 인터페이스 方式에 관한 연구

A simple digital data recording scheme which is suitable for the audio cassette interface to microcomputer is proposed. Unipolar-RZ waveform is shown to be suitable for simple and direct digital data recording. The overall system that is composed of waveform conversion part, receiver clock generation part is designed and implemented. The operation of the system and experimental results are discussed. And correct operation has been checked by connecting this system to the Motorola 6800 Evaluation Kit Ⅱ.
하악 시상골 절단술 후 고정 방법에 따른 회귀 성향에 대한 비교 연구

Objective : To compare two different methods of rigid fixation in postoperative stability after mandibular setback, Material and Methods : 28 patients with Class III malocclusion were treated by bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy(BSSRO) and mandibular setback were selected for this study. Group A(n=14) had the bone segments fixed with monocortical miniplate on the lateral side of the mandibular body and Group B(n=14) had three noncompressive bicortical screw inserted at the genial area through a transcutaneous approach. Cephalograms were taken preoperatively, postoperatively within 1 weeks and at a follow-up period (mean 8.9 months after surgery) and the amount of setback and postoperative change were measured. Results : Postoperative relapse between two groups was minimal in setback of the mandible. Statistical analysis showed no significant difference in postoperative relapse. Conclusion : This study suggests that both methods of skeletal fixation investigated give comparable postoperative stability and their use in mandibular setback appears to be a fairly stable clinical procedure.

The efficient operation of a fluidized bed is very much dependent upon distributor performance, which in turn depends on its design parameters. The work reported here deals with the characteristics of distributor related to the good fluidization. Specifically, multi orifice distributors of different geometries, percent open area and orifice diameter have been investigated in activated carbon and sand fluidized bed reactor of 73mm ID as a function of air fluidizing velocity. The pressure drop data for all the distributors have been correlated by a single equation with the open ratio of the distributor and the superficial velocity. Uniform operation of fluidized bed is significantly related to the open ratio and orifice diameter. The value of the pressure drop, being defined as the ratio of pressure drop across the distributor plate to the pressure drop across the bed, is very important parameter for the design of distributor and Siegel's equation is the most reasonable for the object.
