Following its introduction as free flap by Dr. Yang in 1978 the forearm flap based on the radial artery has been used as an island-skin flap or as a compound flap including vascularized nerve, bone or tendons in patient with problem of reconstruction in hand. It has proved to be one of safest, extremely versatile, simple and effective one stage method of soft tissue reconstruction in hand. Surgery is confined to a single limb permitting regional anesthesia and early postoperative mobilisation and rehabilitation. We have experienced 3 cases of distally-based island forearm flap for soft tissue reconstruction is a patient of crushing injury on hand, a patient with foreign body granuloma on dorsum of hand due to parffin implantation and a patient with first web space contracture due to posttraumatic scar contracture and 1 case of distally-pedicled vascularized radial bone graft for reconstruction of third metacarpal bone. The results of these operation have been exceedingly satisfactory.
항공기용 고압 터빈 냉각을 위한 페데스탈 냉각요소 최적설계

본 연구에서는 항공기용 고압 터빈 냉각을 위해 흡입면 내부 유로에 위치시킬 페데스탈의 최적설계를 수행하였다. 공력 해석에는 상용 소프트웨어인 ANSYS CFX 를 사용하였고 근사모델을 사용하여 최적설계를 수행하였다. 목적함수로는 열전달 성능을 위하여 누셀 수를 향상시키고 공력 성능을 고려하기 위해 마찰 계수를 최소화 시키도록 정의하였다. 실험점 추출에는 CCD 기법을 사용하였고 크리깅 기법을 이용하여 근사 모델을 구성 후 유전 알고리즘을 이용해 최적해를 구하였다. 그 결과 열전달 성능을 향상시키면서 공력적 손실을 감소시키거나 열전달 성능 향상을 고려하면 감수할 수 있을 정도의 손실을 발생시키는 최적점을 도출하였다. In this study, design optimization process was done for a pedestal in the turbine suction-side inner channel to improve the cooling efficiency. To optimize the pedestal, numerical analysis was done using the ANSYS CFX and surrogate model was constructed and used for finding the optimum. The objective function was defined with the nusselt number and the friction factor for the heat transfer and aerodynamic performance enhancement. Experiment points to construct the surrogate model were obtained with Central Composite Design (CCD) method and the kriging model was formulated. The optimal points were acquired using a genetic algorithm. As a result, optimal points with improved performance factor were obtained.

Ameloblastomas are epithelial tumors of odontogenic origin. They constitute a small percentage of all tumors of the jaw and occur most often in the mandible. Characteristically, these tumors are benign and slow growing with a tendency to recur locally if inadequately removed. A proven change to malignancy with metastasis is exceedingly rare. The best treatment of these tumors is early complete removal. Recently we experienced two cases of ameloblastoma and successful treatment with wide en bloc resection and immediate mandibular reconstruction. In mandibular replacement, a fascinating collection of parts and materials has been subsequently used with various degree of success. In this paper, we traced the evolution of the mandibular replacement and introduced a new free vascularized rib graft with report of two cases of ameloblastoma.

Under ubiquitous environment, recommendation system is using the collaborative filtering methods by quantifying context information, but insufficient context information can cause inaccurate recommendation result. In order to solve such problems, the researcher used context information and user's profile. But service history information in users' profiles can have the problems of being influenced by change of the user's taste or fashion as time passes by. In addition, context information and user‘s profile can't be properly inter-locked according to situation, which can cause inaccurate predictability. In this paper, in case a user's taste or fashion is changed as time passes by, the researcher didn't apply bundled-up value to the user's profile but applied different weight according to change of time. And the researcher could solve the problem that context information and a user's profile can't be properly inter-locked according to situation by applying different weight to the result gained by means of collaborative filtering and then by unifying it. In such ways, the researcher could improve predictability.

The multidisciplinary design optimization method, which integrates aerodynamic performance and structural stability, was utilized in the development of a single-stage transonic axial compressor. An approximation model was created using artificial neural network for global optimization within given ranges of variables and several design constraints. The genetic algorithm was used for the exploration of the Pareto front to find the maximum objective function value. The final design was chosen after a second stage gradient-based optimization process to improve the accuracy of the optimization. To validate the design procedure, numerical simulations and compressor tests were carried out to evaluate the aerodynamic performance and safety factor of the optimized compressor. Comparison between numerical optimal results and experimental data are well matched. The optimum shape of the compressor blade is obtained and compared to the baseline design. The proposed optimization framework improves the aerodynamic efficiency and the safety factor.
