        조선후기 가집의 정체성과 신작(新作) 가곡창사

        The purposes of this study are to examine the identity of individual works and anthology by analyzing the lyrics of new songs and figure out the nature of the song culture during the latter part of Choson. Recent researches on songs and anthology seems to decrease in their interest in lyrics considerably compared with the old researches, but lyrics are texts that should not be neglected in the study of songs and anthology from the latter part of Choson along with compositions and offer important grounds to understand the song culture, which raises a desperate need for ongoing interest in them. There are three reasons behind a focus on the lyrics of new songs in the history of songs and anthology in the latter part of Choson: the first one is to show that the lyrics of new songs demonstrate the development of diverse song cultures during the latter part of Choson; the second one is to examine the characteristic aspects of compilers, surrounding figures, and singing spaces under the compilation background of individual anthology based on the lyrics of new songs; and the final one is to discuss the meanings of the lyrics of new songs themselves and their significance in the history of songs. Under these reasons, the study examined the patterns of the lyrics of new songs in the developmental history of song lyrics during the latter part of Choson and analyzed mainly the works helpful for understanding the identity of anthology. 이 글의 목적은 신작 가곡창사, 즉 가곡의 노랫말 분석을 통해 개별 작품의 의미와 가집의 정체성을 파악함으로써 조선후기 가곡 문화의 성격을 구명하는 데 있다. 최근의 가곡, 가집 연구에서는 창사에 관한 관심이 과거에 비해서 상당히 줄어든 듯하다. 하지만 창사는 창곡과 함께 조선후기의 가곡 및 가집 연구에서 결코 간과될 수 없는 텍스트이고, 가곡 문화에 대한 이해를 위한 중요 근거이므로 지속적인 관심이 필요하다. 조선후기의 가곡사와 가집사에서 신작 가곡창사를 주목하는 이유는 첫째, 신작 가곡창사는 조선후기에 다양한 가곡 문화가 전개되고 있었음을 실증한다. 둘째, 신작 가곡창사를 통해 개별 가집의 편찬 배경, 특히 편찬자와 그 주변 인물 및 가창 공간이 지닌 개성적 면모를 살펴볼 수 있다. 셋째, 신작 가곡창사 그 자체의 의미와 가곡사적 의의에 관해 논의할 수 있기 때문이다. 이와 같은 이유로 이 글에서는 조선후기 가곡 창곡의 발전사에 의거하여 신작 가곡창사의 존재 양상을 파악한 후, 가집의 정체성 파악에 도움이 되는 작품을 위주로 분석을 진행하였다.

        왜곡 영상을 위한 효과적인 최소-최대 유사도(Min- Max Similarity) 기반의 영상 정합 알고리즘

        Educational books commonly use some copyrighted images with various kinds of deformation for helping students understanding. When using several copyrighted images made by merging or editing distortion in legal, we need to pay a charge to original copyright holders for each image. In this paper, we propose an efficient matching algorithm by separating each copyrighted image with the merged and edited type including rotation, illumination change, and change of size. We use the Oriented FAST and Rotated BRIEF (ORB) method as a basic feature matching scheme. To improve the matching accuracy, we design a new MIN-MAX similarity in matching stage. With the distorted dataset, the proposed method shows up-to 97% of precision in experiments. Also, we demonstrate that the proposed similarity measure also outperforms compared to other measure which is commonly used.

        The effect of mesoscopic shape on thermal properties of multi-walled carbon nanotube mats

        We highlight the effect that mesoscopic shape of individual multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)has on their collective thermal properties when they are lumped together into MWCNT mats. The thermal properties depend both on the mesoscopic shape of the MWCNTs and on the structure of the mat. The mesoscopic shape is represented by static bending persistence length (l_sp) and the mat structure is represented by network length (l_e). It is demonstrated that various thermal properties depend on l_sp. The variable thermal properties are linear thermal expansivity, thermal diffusivity, specific heat capacity,and thermal conductivity. In the case of n* > 1, the MWCNT mats contract with increasing temperature. On the contrary, in the case of n* < 1, the mats expand with increasing temperature. The apparent thermal conductivity increases with increasing l_sp.

        Magnetic Resonance Finding of Acute Marchiafava-Bignami Disease with Diffuse Involvement: A Case Report

        Marchiafava-Bignami disease (MBD) is a rare toxic disorder strongly associated with chronic alcoholism (1-3, 6, 7). It is characterized by progressive demyelination and necrosis of the corpus callosum. The process may extend to neighboring white matter and subcortical regions. We report a case of MBD in which fluid-attenuated inversion recovery and diffusion-weighted imaging revealed symmetrical hyperintense lesions with diffuse involvement of the corpus callosum, white matter, corticospinal tract, internal capsule, and middle cerebellar peduncle (3, 4, 8).

        Uncommon Manifestations of Scrub Typhus Encephalitis in Two Cases: Clinical and Magnetic Resonance Imaging Findings

        Scrub typhus is a well-known acute febrile illness caused by Orientia tsutsugamushi. This disease has multiorgan involvement, which includes the lungs, heart, liver, spleen, and the central or peripheral nervous system. Scrub typhus involving the central nervous system (CNS) is not rare. However, meningitis and meningoencephalitis can cause changes in mentation and death and are therefore associated with a poor prognosis. We report two consecutive cases of scrub typhus with CNS involvement. One patient presented with extensive white matter involvement, similar to that observed in acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, whereas the other patient presented with subependymal enhancement along the lateral ventricles. To the best of our knowledge, scrub typhus encephalitis, with extensive white matter involvement and subependymal enhancement, are very rarely described findings in the previous literature. Our patients did not show complete recovery, but the symptoms resolved with treatment. Recognizing these uncommon radiologic findings of scrub typhus may be helpful in the early diagnosis of scrub typhus with CNS involvement, which may alter the prognoses of patients.

        Ancient Schwannoma at the Olfactory Groove Mimicking Meningioma: A Case Report

        Schwannomas are benign slow-growing nerve sheath tumors, which can develop in any peripheral or central nerve that contains Schwann cells. Schwannomas located near the olfactory groove are extremely rare and radiological diagnosis can be difficult. Moreover, ancient schwannoma is an uncommon variant, and radiologic findings are rarely reported. Herein, we reported a surgically confirmed case of ancient schwannoma at the olfactory groove in a 44-year-old woman presenting with headache and visual disturbance. Brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed a solid and cystic extra-axial mass located in the subfrontal area mimicking an olfactory groove meningioma. Histopathologic diagnosis of ancient schwannoma was confirmed by immunohistochemical staining for S100, CD56, vimentin, and other markers. Furthermore, we described the clinical manifestations, MRI characteristics, and histopathologic findings of the case, and presented a review of related literature.
