빈번하게 접근하는 XML 문서의 메모리 적재를 통한 검색속도 향상 기법

As the documents in previous information systems are trasformed to XML Documents, the amount of XML documents is repidly increasing, So these information systems have many XML documents, which was implemented with relational database sustems. Because of large volume and characteristics of XML documents, the retrieval speed of XML documents is very slow at these information systems. We propose an improved retrieval scheme to reduce the retrieval time of XML documents. In the retrieval scheme XML documents being frequentlu searched are stored at main memory in web application server with an LRU replacement algorithm. We implemented these retrieval scheme on the relational database system. And the we knew that the retrieval time at systems implementing with the proposed scheme is eight tiems faster that the previous retrieval method. 기존의 정보 시스템내의 문서들을 XML로 변환하게 됨에 따라 XML 문서의 양이 빠르게 증가하고 있다. 많은 정보 시스템들이 관계형 DBMS를 사용하여 XML문서를 저장하고 있으나, XML 문서의 특성으로 인하여 검색 속도가 상당히 느린 편이다. 본 연구에서는 문서의 검색 속도를 향상시키기 위하여 사용자들이 빈번하게 사용하는 XML 문서들을 웹 응용서버의 주기억장치에 적재하여 관리한다. 제안한 방법을 실제 검색 시스템에 구현하여 여러 조직 내의 사용자들로 하여금 XML 문서를 검색하게 한 결과, 기존의 검색 시스템보다 7-8배 빠르게 검색함을 알 수 있다.
Efficient white light emitting devices with a blue emitting layer doped with a red dye

We report the fabrication and the characterization of white organic light emitting devices consisting of a single light emitting layer of blue-emitting bis(2-methyl-8-quinolinolato) (triphenyl-siloxy)aluminium (III) (SAlq) doped with red-emitting 4-dicy-anomethylene-2-methyl-6-[2-(2,3,6,7-tetrahydro-1H,5H-benzo[i,j]quinolizin-8-yl)vinyl]-4H-pyran) (DCM2). White light emissioncan be obtained from the incomplete energy transfer from SAlq to DCM2 and the direct trapping of carriers at DCM2. Theelectroluminescence (EL) spectrum consists of two broad peaks around 480 and 570 nm, resulting in white light emission with theCIE coordinates (0.32, 0.38). The introduction of the PEDOTPSS buer layer leads to an increase in the current density andthe luminance by a factor. 6 under the forward bias. The device with PEDOTPSS shows an EL turn-on voltage of about 3 V andthe maximum luminance of 18,100 cd/m2 at the bias of 13.2 V. The luminous eciency is about 2.1 lm/W and the external quantumeciency is 1.9% at a luminance of 100 cd/m2.

In this article I examine how Yi Ik, a prominent shirak [實學] scholar in the 18th century, responded to the impact of Western science. I focus on one of his articles, "On Field-allocation" [bunya, 分野] in the Fragmented Essays of Master Seongho [seongho saseol, 星湖僿說] because Yi Ik here articulated his approach both to Western science and the traditional world view. Contrary to the accepted image of Yi Ik as an iconoclastic critic of the traditional worldview and as a pioneer of modern Korean thought, I draw a rather conservative picture of him; Yi Ik never discarded the traditional belief in the astrological correspondence between heaven and earth, nor did he negate the central position of Chinese civilization in the world. He was, of course, aware that these conventional beliefs had many flaws that conflicted with the astronomical and geographical knowledge of Jesuit missionaries he highly evaluated. Yi IK tried to find a middle ground in which these conflicts could be successfully resolved. He incorporated several elements from Western science, especially the concept of a round earth, into the traditional astrological system, giving the latter a more reasonable theoretical foundation. In Yi Ik's work, Western science did not provide an alternative to the traditional belief but a useful resource to rationalize them.
