This paer presents a feedback-controlled, MEMS-fabricated microaccelerometer($\mu$XL). The $\mu$XL has received much commercial attraction, but its performance is generally limited. To improve the open-loop performance, a feedback controller is designed and experimentally evaluated. The feedback controller is applied to the x/y-axis $\mu$XL fabricated by sacrificial bulk micromachining(SBM) process. Even though the resolution of the closed-loop system is slightly worse than open-loop system, the bandwidth, linearity, and bias stability are stability are significantly improved. The noise equivalent resolution of open-loop system is 0.615 mg and that of closed-loop system is 0.864 mg. The bandwidths of open-loop and closed-loop system are over 100Hz. The input range, non-linearity and bias stability are improved from $\pm10\;g\;to\;\pm18g$, from 11.1%FSO to 0.86%FSO, and from 0.221 mg to 0.128 mg by feedback control, respectively.
Vol.39 No.7
This study examined the possibility of solving the water shortage problem through the water reuse of buildings through the Suwon water reuse (greywater) facility installation project conducted as a pilot project of Ministry of Environment. Water reuse of individual building units can reduce city water demand by up to 25%. This is a level that can solve the water shortage problem in Korea. However, in order to revitalize the water reuse facilities of individual buildings, it is necessary to solve the problem of the user"s rejection of the greywater and the economical problems. The resolution of the user"s rejection can be solved by linking the MBR process with the AOP process. When the MBR process and the AOP process are operated in conjunction with each other, it is found that the users do not feel the water quality difference with the tap water. Economical problems can be solved at the water rate levels when the facility capacity is over 100 ton/day considering the construction cost and the operation cost, and when the operation cost alone is over 15 ton/day. Furthermore, when considering the social benefit cost, it is found that profit is generated from 150 ton/day.
Vol.27 No.-
A methodology to the operation standards of the service performance of airport terminal facilities using Perception-Response Model is discussed in this paper. The proposed approach has defined as the graphical presentation of the collective attitudes of a category of passengers towards the range of operational service at a facility of airport terminal. It adopts new concepts to establish service standards through special survey, that can achieve better interpretation of capadty and level of service at each facility. It is expressed in terms of perception of the passenger population of different amounts of the service measure and their response to the respective service conditions classified into distinct levels of satisfaction with service. The methodology can provide a practical service standards of airport terminals and may prove to be a practical and convenient technique to airport planners, designers, consultants, operators, and to airport managers.
