Korean traditional learning with wide scopes of humanities was lost during modernization of academic system and methodology. The main doctrine of new learning borrowed from the social disorde after the independence made un unfavorable situation to readjust it Korean tradition. Cho Yun-je, the pioneer of writing Korean literary history, tried to inspire self-awareness of Korean people as a total entity undivided,in the literary works of each epochs.But the next generation took two extreme ways: the study of classical favored the philological works of the materials, while the area of modern literature was dominated by Western influence. Along with Yi Sung-nyeong’s declaration that the study of Korean language is that of the general linguistics, almost all new theories were introduced to it. Linguistic and literary studies separated entirely without no common domain. The theory and method of writing for university students were neglected. Literary study narrowed its scope and lost the ability to understand the philosophical and historical problems in the literary works. Now it is the time to overcome the separatism of modern system of academic learning. Literature is one aspect of the total culture. It can be understood in close relationship with philosophy and history. To formulate a new comprehensive and holistic theory of literature, I wrote Korean Literature and Philosophy, in Historical View, The Comparative Sociologies of the Novel, and some other books.
한국학문의 전통계승과 문사철의 통합에 의한 한국문화연구

如何理解文學, 這一問題早在對文學的近代硏究開始之前就已經濟出來, 幷且一直成爲討論的話題. 文學硏究的歷史要早于近代學問的歷史, 在中世的文學硏究中幷沒有刻意强調做學問, 但却積累了大量値得給予高度評价的業績, 這一廣爲世人認知的事實在東亞漢文文明圈, 尤其在韓國最爲突出. 本文目的在于觀察從學問史的觀点來看文學論有나些特定化內容, 從而超越近代學問, 尋?下개時代做學問的必要方針. 近代學問使用了與文學創作嚴格區分的寫作方式, 主張應將文學, 史學與哲學嚴格區分開. 爲檢驗這一前提, 本文以中世的文學爲例, 通過對文學自身的理解, 對文學時代變化的歷史理解, 對文學成立根據的哲學理解, 對文學自身的理解與對歷史及哲學的理解相結合等四개部分, 論述了與對文學自身的理解相比, 對文學自身的理解歷史與或哲學的理解相結合更爲適宜, 三者結合效果尤佳. 文中提出了?点構想, 如應該更加積極地?出綜合學問的傳統, 幷且深入硏究, 將硏究成果積極活用于重新構築今天的文學硏究一般論. 應該反省將文學硏究, 文學批評, 文學創作極力分開的近代學問習慣, 尋求重新將三者聯系到一起的方案. 這些工作同時也應該在史學與哲學範圍內進行, 驗證一下通過文學檢驗的韓國學問傳統是否是可以得到廣泛認可的普遍特征. 尋?使文學, 歷史, 哲學融會貫通的硏究成果及學問論, 幷且重新給予其合理的評价是應該共同進行的最中要的任務. 應該如何將三者有機地結合起來進行統一硏究, 尙需假以時日, 重新進行硏究. 只有這樣才能使人文文學成爲一개綜合體, 也可以爲使人文學更加貼近社會學與自然學作出貢獻. 繼承韓國學問的融會論決不僅僅停留于恢復主體性與創造力, 其意義還在于戰勝歐洲文明圈中心主義, 恢復各文明圈的平等關系, 超越近代學問, 引導創造下一時代學問. 韓國應該在這一領域作出表率, 積極引導其他國家共同參與, 從而積極尋求將韓國學問發展爲亞洲學問, 將亞洲學問發展爲世界學問的方案.
