        A Comparative Study on the Efficacy of Zea mays L. Extracts as a Natural Ingredient in Cosmetics

        In this study, Zea mays L., which were discarded after harvesting in Korea, were collected and used for experiment. The Zea mays L. were dried in the shade and ground before being extracted using two solvents. Subsequently, DPPH, ABTS, the total flavonoid content and the total polyphenol content were measured to analyze antioxidant activity. The diameter of clear zone was measured by using the paper disc diffusion method. The results showed that the ethanol extract had a slightly higher antioxidant and antibacterial activity. The total polyphenol content was measured using gallic acid as standard, and CE(ethanol extract) was found to contain $31.2{\pm}5.2mg\;GAE/g$ of polyphenols, indicating a considerably high activity. When DPPH radical scavenging ability was measured, CE was found to have $4.6{\pm}0.9%$, $6.4{\pm}0.5%$, $22.9{\pm}0.6%$ and $83.2{\pm}0.2%$ at different concentrations of $1{\mu}g/mL$, $10{\mu}g/mL$, $100{\mu}g/mL$, and $1,000{\mu}g/mL$, respectively, with a dependent tendency at the concentration of $1,000{\mu}g/mL$ and a considerably high activity at the concentration of $1,000{\mu}g/mL$. This study is expected to be used as preliminary data to develop new natural antioxidant, antibacteria raw materials, as only little research has been undertaken on Zea mays L., which are mostly discarded after harvesting, while many studies have been so far conducted on corn and corn silks. 국내에서 재배되는 옥수수의 수확 후 버려지는 잎을 수거하여 음건하고 분쇄 한 후 실험에 사용하였다. 두 가지 용매로 추출 후 DPPH, ABTS, 총 플라보노이드 함량, 총 폴리페놀 함량을 측정하여 항산화 활성을 분석하고, Paper disc diffusion method 로 clear zone의 직경을 측정 하였다. 그 결과 에탄올 추출물이 모든 항산화활성과 항균활성에서 다소 높은 결과를 나타내었다. Gallic acid를 표준물질로 하여 총 polyphenol 함량을 측정한 결과 CE는 $31.2{\pm}5.2mg\;GAE/g$로 높은 활성을 보였고, DPPH radical 소거능 측정 결과 CE는 1, 10, 100, 1,000 (${\mu}g/mL$) 농도에서 각각 $4.6{\pm}0.9%$, $6.4{\pm}0.5%$, $22.9{\pm}0.6%$, $83.2{\pm}0.2%$로 나타나 농도 의존적 경향을 보였으며 1,000 (${\mu}g/mL$)에서는 매우 높은 활성을 보였다. 지금까지 옥수수와 옥수수 수염에 대한 연구는 많지만 페기 되는 잎에 대한 연구는 없어 본 연구가 새로운 천연 항산화, 항균 효능을 가진 원료개발의 기초 자료가 될 것으로 판단된다.

        감광성 CNT 페이스트를 이용한 IED 폭발물 제거로봇 탐지전극 형성에 관한 연구

        In this study, two important requirements for the home production of a robot to detect and remove improvised explosive devices (IEDs) are presented in terms of the total cost for robot system development and the performance improvement of the mine detection technology. Firstly, cost analyses were performed in order to provide a reasonable solution following an engineering estimate method. As a result, the total cost for a mass production system without the mine detection system was estimated to be approximately 396 million won. For the case including the mine detection system, the total cost was estimated to be approximately 411 million won, in which labor costs and overhead charges were slightly increased and the material costs for the mine detection system were negligible. Secondly, a method for fabricating the carbon nanotube (CNT) based gas detection sensor was studied. The detection electrodes were formed by a photolithography process using a photosensitive CNT paste. As a result, this method was shown to be a scalable and expandable technology for producing excellent mine detection sensors. In particular, it was found that surface treatments by using adhesive taping or ion beam bombardment methods are effective for exposing the CNTs to the ambient air environment. Fowler-Nordheim (F-N) plots were obtained from the electron-emission characteristics of the surface treated CNT paste. The F-N plot suggests that sufficient electrons are available for transport between CNT surfaces and chemical molecules, which will make an effective chemiresistive sensor for the advanced IED detection system.

        예비 유아교사를 위한 웹 기반 학습에서 나타난 교수자 역할 탐색

        본 연구는 예비 유아교사를 위한 웹 기반 학습과정에서 나타난 교수자의 역할을 탐색해 봄으로써 향후 예비 유아교사의 전문지식과 반성적 사고 능력 함양을 위한 웹 기반 학습 운영에 시사점을 주고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 1학기 동안 50명의 예비 유아교사가 웹 기반 학습 활동을 수행하였고 학습 과정에서 나타난 교수자의 역할을 살펴보았다. 웹 커뮤니티 메뉴별 출력을, 이메일 출력물 채팅 자료 교수자 협의 노트 현장 노트 등의 자료를 수집하였고 수집 내용을 범주화하여 질적 분석을 하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 웹 기반 학습 과정에서 교수자는 학습 관리자의 역할을 수행하였다. 둘째, 웹 기반 학습 환경에서 교수자는 스케폴더의 역할을 수행하였다. 셋째, 웹 기반 학습 환경에서 교수자는 멘터의 역할을 수행하였다. 넷째, 웹 기반 학습 환경에서 교수자는 공동의 학습자 역할을 수행하였다. The purpose of this research is to study about the role of instructor in web-based learning process and seek actual method of design and operation to lead successful instructing and learning for teachers in early childhood education, For this research, 50 pre-service teachers and 2 instructors rook Web-based learning activities and the instructor's role was observed in the learning process. Data were collected including handouts by each web-community menu, e-mail handouts, consultation notes of instructor, and field notes, Then, collected data were conducted by categorizing the content of them. As a result, first, the instructor played a role as a manager for effective learning. However, the instructor experienced time sparing and physical exhaustion in the process of participating in the study process as a collaborative learner. Second, the instructor played a role as a scaffolder in web-based learning environment, The instructor coordinated study schedule and level a scaff older. Moreover, the instructor also provided direct guidance and example a scaff older, Third, the instructor played a role as a mentor in web-based study environment. The instructor listened to difficult problems and helped to solve conflicts of learners. the instructor played a role as a collaborative learner in web-based environment. The instructor shared responsibility of the study and accepted suggestions by leaner.

        유아교사 취업 커뮤니케이션에 대한 유아교육기관 원장의 담론

        본 연구는 유아교육기관 원장들의 목소리를 통해 유아교사 취업 커뮤니케이션에 대한 심층적 탐색을 시도하였다. 이로써 유아교사의 취업 행동을 돕고, 유아교사 선발과 직전교육 및 현직교육의 실질적인 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 5년∼12년의 운영 경력을 지닌 유아교육기관 원장 6인을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하였으며 수집된 자료에 대하여 질적분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 원장들은 이력서와 자기소개서에서 가족관계,주거지,이직회수 등을 중점적으로 검토하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며 원장들에게 지원자의 출신대학교와 학업성적은 검토와 고려 대상이 되고 있었다. 그러나 선발의 절대적 기준은 아니라는 인식이 나타났다. 둘째, 원장들은 취업 면접에서 지원자의 수용적이고 온화한 이미지를 매우 중요시하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.셋째, 유아교육기관 원장들은 취업 커뮤니케이션에서 선발자와 지원자의 상호간 도리가 필요하다는 인식을 나타내었다. This study proposes practical directions for selection preservice education, and in-service training of early childhood education teachers, and helps job behavior of early childhood education teachers by attempting an in-depth search for selection of early childhood education teachers through the voices of directors of kindergartens and child care centers. In order to do this, in-depth interviews were conducted with six directors of kindergartens and child care centers who have 5 to 12 years of operating experience, and performed a qualitative analysis with collected data was performed. The results of study are: First, this study revealed that directors consider family relations, address, career sated in resumes and cover letters. Also they consider the university from which applicants graduated, and their academic records are reviewed and considered. However, this study showed that they are not the absolute criteria for selection. Second, during the job interview, directors think highly of the applicant’s receptive and calm character. Third, directors’ experience regarding the early childhood education teachers’ employment communication revealed the selection standard that the directors consider as important and the applicants’ “principle of employment.” This means that directors are aware that both applicant’s duty and institution’s duty are important factors in the selection process.

        교실대화에 대한 유아의 이해와 의미

        본 연구는 교실대화에 대한 유아의 이해와 의미를 살펴봄으로써 교육활동에서 유아 비평적 관점을 수용하고 교수학습 질 제고를 위한 기초 자료 제공에 그 목적을 두었다. 이를 위하여 12주 동안 유아 면담, 관찰을 실시하였다. 면담 및 관찰 내용 전사본, 현장약기 등을 수집하고, 수집 자료에 대해 질적 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 유아들에게 교실대화는 공감이며 이에 대해 즐거움과 활력으로 여기고 있었다. 공감은 상대의 말에 반복표현하기, 맞장구치기, 동조하기를 통해 나타났고 TV 프로그램, 일상 체험 책, 애니메이션, 장난감을 매개로도 표출되었다. 둘째, 유아들에게 교실대화는 자유로움과 열린 것으로 나타났다. 여기에는 대화 참여, 참여자들의 생각과 표현, 발화 형식 등에 대한 자유로움과 개방을 의미한다. 셋째, 유아들에게 교실대화는 배우고 알아가는 것으로 나타났으며 유아들은 교사나 친구와의 대화를 통해 많이 배울 수 있다고 여기고 있었다. 넷째, 유아들에게 교실대화는 도전과 인내로 나타났다. 이는 유아가 대화에서 주도권을 갖지 못했을 때, 친구가 대화의 독점을 하고자 할 때, 자신의 생각을 만족스럽게 표현하지 못했을 때, 친구가 대화를 방해할 때 등이 해당된다. 유아들의 이러한 도전과 인내의 과정은 한정된 시간, 다양한 화자에게 이야기를 듣고자 하는 대화 과정에서 나타나는 것으로 나타났다. This study proposes to provide baseline data for improving the quality of teaching and learning by accepting the critical concepts of children through looking at understandings and means of children on classroom dialogue. For this study, children interview was processed. And 3 classrooms managed teacher with 4-6 years careers of kindergarten were observed for 12 weeks. All contents of the interviews were recorded, and the qualitative analysis was conducted. As a result, first, classroom dialogue could be sympathetic to children and they consider it as joy and vitality that could not felt alone. Moreover, the sympathetic from children classroom dialogues were expressed through repetitive expressions, enthusiastically agreed, and sympathize, and also expressed through TV programs, daily experiences, books, animations, and toys. Second, classroom dialogues for children could be known as freedom, because this could express communication participants` openness, and flow of thoughts, and this means the freedom that sometimes the thoughts are same or different from others, and openness and continuous figure that continues naturally to new topics and plays. Third, classroom dialogues for children were appeared to be the procedure to learn and know, and children consider that the communication with teachers or friends allow them to learn a lot. In the other hand, children sometimes show that the communication is a process of ‘studying’, and also shown to have attempts to find the problem and solve it within communications. Fourth, classroom dialogues are the truth to show their difficulties and upset for children. Especially, children showed to sometimes feel difficulties in continuous participation in circle time such as conversation activities unlike communications made within classroom that are free and informal.

        UV차단용 이산화티탄 합성 및 화장품 소재로의 응용

        This study synthesized titanium dioxide (TiO2) in a 3D mesoporous nanostructure, which has excellent UV-blocking effects with a relatively broad surface area. Particle shape, crystallinity and specific surface area were analyzed using FE-TEM, XRD and BET, respectively. In terms of optical properties, it was compared to the P-25 manufactured by ‘D,’ using a UV-vis Spectrophotometer. The results found the following: in terms of particle size, the crystallinity of anatase 50-300nm was found. The specific surface area and pore size were 310 m2/g and 2.5nm, revealing a specific surface area higher than the general mesoporous nano structure. In terms of UV absorption, in addition, it was better than the synthesized P-25 in all UVB and UVA ranges. It was particularly higher than P-25 by about 30% in terms of absorption rates even at 350 nm where the absorption rate of general particulate TiO2 decreases. In terms of UV reflectance, the efficiency was close to P-25 in all UVB and UVA ranges. Therefore, it appears that the fabricated synthesis would be able to solve ‘whitening’, which has been found in conventional TiO2, in addition to excellent UV-blocking effects. Furthermore, it would be useful in diverse applications as a cosmetic ingredient.

        코로나19(COVID-19) 감염증에 대응하는 보육교사의 영유아 건강관리직무와 수행 경험

        본 연구는 보육교사가 수행하고 있는 코로나19 감염증 대응 건강관리직무를 살펴보고자 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 8명의 보육교사를 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하였다. 연구참여자와의 면담내용은 녹음되었고 녹음자료는 전사하여 질적분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 보육교사들의 코로나 대응 건강사정직무로 영유아 관찰, 체온 측정, 부모와 쪽지 통신 등을 실시하였다. 둘째, 보육교사들의 코로나 대응 건강문제조치를 위한 직무로 감염증 질환 의심되는 영유아 발생 시 즉시 다른 영유아로부터 격리 및 부모에게 연락 긴급 보육실시 등을 실시하였다. 셋째, 보육교사들의 코로나19 대응 건강교육직무로 영유아, 부모, 보육교직원 대상 감영병 예방교육 등을 실시하였다. 넷째, 보육교사들의 코로나19 대응 문서 및 환경관리 업무로 영유아 건강검진 서류 관리, 코로나 대응 지침 관리, 공용 공간 청결, 환경, 방역 관리하기 등의 업무를 수행하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 보육교사들의 코로나19 대응 보육교사의 자가건강관리로 자가격리, 직무 스트레스 관리하기 직무를 수행하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 중심으로 영유아교육현장에서 보육교사가 수행하는 코로나19 대응 건강관리직무의 개선 방향을 논의하였다. This study was conducted to examine the health management duties of child care teachers for young children in response to COVID-19. For this, in-depth interviews were conducted with eight teachers. Collected data were transcribed, and qualitative analysis was conducted. The results are as follows. First, child care teachers’ monitoring duties for young children in response to COVID-19 were conducted, such as checking the young children’s condition, and body temperature. Second, child care teachers’ health problem action duties for young children in response to COVID-19 were conducted, such as immediately isolated young children and parents from other young children and contacted them to conduct emergency child care services in case of suspected infectious diseases. Second, as health problem duties for child in response to COVID-19, care teachers isolated young children suspected infectious diseases from other children. Third, child care teachers’ preventive education duties in response to COVID-19 were conducted for children, parents, and child care teachers themselves. Fourth, child care teachers were carrying out duties such as managing documents for young children’s health examination, and managing guidelines for COVID-19 response. Fifth, child care teachers performed such as self-isolation, and self-management for response to COVID-19. Based on the above results, measures were proposed to reduce work and to support physical and mental health to perform COVID-19 corresponding child care teachers’ health management duties.
