We have examined the purgative effect of three Jechun-jun formulas in sprague dawley(SD) rat. Three jechun-jun formulas were Jechun-jun(Sample I ) and augmented Jechun-jun(Sample II) and augmented Jechun-jun add rhubarb(sample III ). We examined the amount and the humidity of feces in rat. The experimental animals were devided into four groups. as control group and three Jechun-jun (sample I, II, III). We administerd the water extract of sample I, II, III to rat per oral for 8days long. After every 24hours measured the amount of wet feces from rats in metabolic cage. Humidity rate of feces from rat was at first measure wet feces for 24hours (W) and measure dried feces (W1) and then we consider W-W1 as humidity. High humidity rate means constipation changes into moistening stool. The amount of wet feces and humidity rate of feces in rats were increased in sample I, II, III. Sample I has highest humidity rate of feces. so showed strong moistening effect. Sample II has mild effect in treating constipation. sample III has most amount of wet feces. in conclusion Jechun-jun has an effect of moistening stool. and augmented Jechun-jun add rhubarb has strong purgative effect.
Huge carotid body paraganglioma
Sang Jun Park,Yeon Seon Kim,Hong Rae Cho,Tae Won Kwon 대한외과학회 2011 Annals of Surgical Treatment and Research(ASRT) Vol.81 No.4
A 33-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital with a slow-growing mass in the left side of her neck. The mass was found to be a huge (73 × 56 × 54 mm) carotid body paraganglioma. Another 21 mm-size tumor was incidentally detected at the right carotid bifurcation. She had hoarseness and Horner’s syndrome of her left side. Both tumors were surgically removed. There were no cerebrovascular complications but some neurologic complications occurred when the left tumor was removed.
Role of surgical treatment for peripheral arterial disease in endovascular era
Sang Jun Park,Jae Chol Hwang,Hong Rae Cho,Ho Jong Park,Sang Jin Kim,Bong Won Park 대한외과학회 2013 Annals of Surgical Treatment and Research(ASRT) Vol.84 No.6
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to review the roll changes of surgical treatment for peripheral artery disease in endovascular era. Methods: One hundred and twelve surgically treated cases of peripheral artery disease at a single institution during the period from 2006 to 2011 were studied retrospectively. The cases were divided into two groups of different time periods, one before 2009 (surgical period group) and the other from 2009 onward (endovascular period group). We analyzed the type and location of surgery as well as clinical characteristics of patients and treatment results. Results: Fifty-three cases were for the surgical period group and 59 cases for the endovascular group. No difference in the demographic characteristics and the distribution of major atherosclerosis risk factors was found between the two groups. Additionally, the technical and functional success rate was similar in both groups. However, it is found that there were more acute cases in the endovascular period group than in the surgical period group. The number of cases in need of suprainguinal or below knee exposure was similar in both groups. In hybrid cases, suprainguinal or below knee exposures were more frequently needed during the former period than the latter period. Conclusion: The role of surgical treatment is currently in the process of changing. Surgical treatment seems to be a complementary alternative to endovascular treatment for chronic limb ischemia. However, it still seems to play a major role for acute limb ischemia.
Clinical implications of APEX1 and Jagged1 as chemoresistance factors in biliary tract cancer
Hong-Beum Kim,Won Jin Cho,Nam Gyu Choi,Sung-Soo Kim,Jun Hee Park,Hee-Jeong Lee,Sang Gon Park 대한외과학회 2017 Annals of Surgical Treatment and Research(ASRT) Vol.92 No.1
Purpose: Biliary cancer is a highly malignant neoplasm with poor prognosis and most patients need to undergo palliative chemotherapy, however major clinical problem associated with the use of chemotherapy is chemoresistance. So far, we aimed at investigating clinical implications of apurinic/apyrimidinic endodeoxyribonuclease 1 (APEX1) and Jagged1 as chemoresistance factors in biliary tract cancer Methods: We used 5 human biliary tract cancer cell lines (SNU-245, SNU-308, SNU-478, SNU-1079, and SNU-1196), and investigated the chemosensitivity of APEX1 and Jagged1 through 3-(4, 5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay and Western blot. Alternately, the 10 patients of advanced biliary cancer consist of 2 group according to the chemotherapy response examined by immunohistochemistry using APEX1 and Jagged1 antibody, and protein expression level was scored for staining intensity and percent positive cell. Results: The result of MTT assay after APEX1 knockdown showed that strong coexpression of APEX1 and Jagged1 cell line (SNU-245, SNU-1079, and SNU-1196) showed a greater decrease in IC50 of chemotherapeutic agent (5-fluorouracil, gemcitabine and cisplatin). The Western blot analysis of APEX1 and Jagged1 expression in biliary cancer cell lines after APEX1 knockdown definitively demonstrated decreased Jagged1 expression. The APEX1 and Jagged1expression level of immunohistochemistry represented that chemorefractory patients had higher than chemoresponsive patients. Conclusion: These results demonstrate that simultaneous high expression of APEX1 and Jagged1 is associated with chemoresistance in biliary cancer and suggest that is a potential therapeutic target for chemoresistance in advanced biliary cancer.

An assessment of two-equation turbulence models, the low Reynolds k-${\varepsilon}$ and k-${\omega}$ SST models, with the compressibility corrections proposed by Sarkar and Wilcox, has been performed. The compressibility models are evaluated by investigating transonic or supersonic flows, including the arc-bump, transonic diffuser, supersonic jet impingement, and unsteady supersonic diffuser. A unified implicit finite volume scheme, consisting of mass, momentum, and energy conservation equations, is used, and the results are compared with experimental data. The model accuracy is found to depend strongly on the flow separation behavior. An MPI (Message Passing Interface) parallel computing scheme is implemented.
INTUITIONISTIC FUZZY SUBALGEBRAS OF BCK/BCI-ALGEBRAS
Hong, Sung-Min,Kim, Kyung-Ho,Jun, Young-Bae 한국전산응용수학회 2001 The Korean journal of computational & applied math Vol.8 No.1
The intuitionistic fuzzification of a subalgebra in a BCK/BCI-algebra is considered, and related results are investigated. The notion of equivalence relations on the family of all intuitionistic fuzzy subalgebras of a BCK/BCI-algebra is introduced, and then some properties are discussed.
