빈곤가정 청소년의 적응유연성 경험에 관한 연구 = Study on Resilience Experiences of Adolescents in Poor Families

The study aimed to search for practical ways to help adolescents in the poor while understanding those children’s resilience experiences. In order to fulfill the research goal, the study has set a research problem as ‘What are the essence and the meanings of the resilience experiences of the adolescents in the poor?’ The study selected a total of five adolescents as research participants, who are capably experiencing resilience despite their poor family financial situations. Findings from those participants were analyzed by Giorgi Phenomenology Method. After the analysis, 98 definite meanings were produced, and six main meanings were created with 16 topics classified. As for the main meanings of the poor adolescents’ resilience experiences, the meanings were understood as ‘the body feels the poverty’, ‘criticizes a life’, ‘a life-changing moment exists’, ‘a series of positive experiences is built up’, ‘searches for a meaning of life’ and lastly, ‘accepts limits positively.’ The study is regarded academically important because the findings of the study can be used as a basic reference for child and youth experts in the real field to design practical programs and guides that would help the resilience improvement of the poor adolescents.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 빈곤가정 청소년의 적응유연성 경험을 이해함으로써 이들에 대한 실천적 대안을 모색하는 데에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 ‘빈곤가정 청소년의 적응유연성 경험의 본질과 그 의미는 무엇인가?’의 연구문제를 가지고, 5명의 빈곤한 가족경제 지위 환경에서도 유능성을 발휘하면서 적응유연하게 자라고 있는 청소년을 대상으로 Giorgi 현상학적 연구방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 명확한 의미 98개가 추출되었으며, 16개의 주제로 유목화하여 6개의 중심의미가 도출되었다. 빈곤가정 청소년의 적응유연성 경험의 중심의미로는 ‘빈곤을 몸으로 느낌’, ‘삶을 비난함’, ‘인생의 전환점이 존재함’, ‘긍정의 경험이 모아짐’, ‘삶의 의미를 찾아감’, ‘한계를 긍정으로 받아들임’으로 분석되었다. 이러한 결과를 기반으로 아동 청소년 관련 실천 현장의 전문가들에게 적응유연성을 강화하기 위한 실질적인 프로그램 개발 및 실천 지침의 기초자료를 제공하는 데에 의의가 있다.
