Polima (Pol) system of cytoplasmic male sterility (CMS) has been widely used for hybrid breeding in Brassica napus L in China. Molecular markers tightly linked to the restorer gene would be not only a valuable tool for breeding new restorer lines but also important landmarks for cloning the gene based on the linkage map. In order to identify DNA markers linked to its restorer gene ( Rfp), a near-isogenic line (NIL) population segregating for male sterility ( rfprfp) /fertility ( Rfprfp) was subjected to amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) analysis using the bulked segregant analysis (BSA) method. From the survey of 2,560 primer combinations, nine AFLP markers tightly linked to the target gene were identified. The distance between the two closest markers (ZQA and ZQH) and the target locus were both 0.4 cM, but they located at the same side of the Rfp locus. To exploit fast, cheap and reliable PCR-based markers for large-scale application in marker-assisted selection (MAS), polymorphic fragments of these two AFLP markers were sequenced and successfully converted into sequence characterized amplified region (SCAR) markers. This suite of markers could be valuable in developing new elite restorers in rapeseed.

Benzene was oxidized by binary oxidants composed of nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide at 80℃. The product obtained was analyzed with gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer. Eight high value compounds, 2-nitrophenol, 2-chloro-6-nitrophenol, 4-chloro-2- nitrophenol, 2-chloro-4-nitrophenol, 2,4-dinitrophenol, 4-nitrophenol, 2,6-dinitrophenol and 2-chloro-4,6-dinitro-phenol were found, which they have high contents in the range from 4.28% to 32.52%. These compounds are very widely used in organic synthesis. e.g., synthesizing dye, medicines and chemical reagents, pesticide, explosive, polymer, etc.
MULTIDIMENSIONAL SYMMETRIC STABLE PROCESSES
Chen, Zhen-Qing 한국전산응용수학회 1999 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.6 No.2
This paper surveys recent remarkable progress in the study of potential theory for symmetric stable processes. It also contains new results on the two-sided estimates for Green functions Poisson kernels and Martin kernels of discontinuous symmetric $alpha$ -stable process in bounded $C^{1,1}$ open sets. The new results give ex-plicit information on how the comparing constants depend on pa-rametrer $alpha$ and consequently recover the green function and Poisson kernel estimates for Brownian motion by passing $alpha{\uparrow}2$. In addition to these new estimates this paper surveys recent progress in the study of notions of harmonicity integral representation of harmonic func-tions boundary harnack inequality conditional gauge and intrinsic ultracontractivity for symmetric stable processes. Here is a table of contents.

Objective: To compare the reproducibility and performance of quantitative metrics between ZOOMit and conventional intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the diagnosis of early- and mid-stage Sjögren’s syndrome (SS). Materials and Methods: Twenty-two patients (mean age ± standard deviation, 52.0 ± 10.8 years; male:female, 2:20) with early- or mid-stage SS and 20 healthy controls (46.9 ± 14.6 years; male:female, 7:13) were prospectively enrolled in our study. ZOOMit IVIM and conventional IVIM MRI were performed simultaneously in all individuals using a 3T scanner. Quantitative IVIM parameters - including tissue diffusivity (D), pseudodiffusion coefficient (D*), and perfusion fraction (f) - inter- and intra-observer reproducibility in measuring these parameters, and their ability to distinguish patients with SS from healthy individuals were assessed and compared between ZOOMit IVIM and conventional IVIM methods, appropriately. MR gland nodular grade (MRG) was also examined. Results: Inter- and intra-observer reproducibility was better with ZOOMit imaging than with conventional IVIM imaging (ZOOMit vs. conventional, intraclass correlation coefficient of 0.897–0.941 vs. 0.667–0.782 for inter-observer reproducibility and 0.891–0.968 vs. 0.814–0.853 for intra-observer reproducibility). Significant differences in ZOOMit f, ZOOMit D*, conventional D*, and MRG between patients with SS and healthy individuals (all p < 0.05) were observed. ZOOMit D* outperformed conventional D* in diagnosing early- and mid-stage SS (area under receiver operating curve, 0.867 and 0.658, respectively; p = 0.002). The combination of ZOOMit D*, MRG, and ZOOMit f as a new diagnostic index for SS, increased diagnostic area under the curve to 0.961, which was higher than that of any single parameter (all p < 0.01). Conclusion: Considering its better reproducibility and performance, ZOOMit IVIM may be preferred over conventional IVIM MRI, and may subsequently improve the ability to diagnose early- and mid-stage SS.

Three new diphenylpropanes, HindsiipropaneA–C (1–3), together with one known arylpropyl quinoneGriffithane D (4), were isolated from Celastrus hindsii. Their structures were established by 1D and 2D nuclearmagnetic resonance spectroscopic analysis, and massspectroscopy. Compound 4 was firstly obtained in thisgenus. All the isolated compounds were evaluated in vitrofor cytotoxicity against four human tumor cell lines (A549,HCT116, MDA-MB-231, BEL7404) by the MTT assay.

Dirichlet heat kernel estimates for rotationally symmetric Lévy processes
Chen, Zhen-Qing,Kim, Panki,Song, Renming Oxford University Press 2014 Proceedings of the London Mathematical Society Vol.109 No.1
<P>In this paper, we consider a large class of purely discontinuous rotationally symmetric Lévy processes. We establish sharp two-sided estimates for the transition densities of such processes killed upon leaving an open set [Formula]. When [Formula] is a [Formula]-fat open set, the sharp two-sided estimates are given in terms of surviving probabilities and the global transition density of the Lévy process. When [Formula] is a [Formula] open set and the Lévy exponent of the process is given by [Formula] with [Formula] being a complete Bernstein function satisfying a mild growth condition at infinity, our two-sided estimates are explicit in terms of [Formula], the distance function to the boundary of [Formula] and the Lévy density of [Formula]. This gives an affirmative answer to the conjecture posted in Chen, Kim and Song [Global heat kernel estimates for relativistic stable processes in half-space-like open sets. <I>Potential Anal.</I> 36 (2012) 235–261]. Our results are the first sharp two-sided Dirichlet heat kernel estimates for a large class of symmetric Lévy processes with general Lévy exponents. We also derive an explicit lower bound estimate for symmetric Lévy processes on [Formula] in terms of their Lévy exponents.</P>
