Soft‑switching and low‑conduction loss full‑bridge converter with auxiliary circuit for battery charging applications

Yanke Liang,Xu Liu 전력전자학회 2023 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.23 No.7

Traditional phase-shift full-bridge (PSFB) converters have the problems of a narrow zero-voltage switching (ZVS) range, a large circulating current, and voltage oscillation. A PSFB converter with novel auxiliary circuits is proposed to solve these problems for a wide voltage output charging application. A simple passive circuit is connected to the primary tap of a transformer with unbalanced magnetic windings, which can provide two differentiated constant triangular currents for ZVS of the leading and lagging legs in the full-load range. Thus, both the external series large inductance and the duty cycle loss are avoided. In addition, the introduced reactive loss is reduced. Meanwhile, a center tap clamping circuit is added on the secondary side. The leakage inductance of the transformer is fully utilized to resonate with the clamping capacitor. Hence, reductions in the voltage stress of the rectifier diode and circulating current can be achieved. A circuit steady-state analysis of the three modes of the proposed converter is carried out. When compared with the conventional PSFB converter, the proposed converter improves efficiency and reduces the filter requirements. A 100 kHz/1.05 kW prototype is established to verify the theoretical analysis.

Knockdown of EMMPRIN (OX47) in MRMT-1 Carcinoma Cells Inhibits Tumor Growth and Decreases Cancer-Induced Bone Destruction and Pain

        Yanke Chen,Jing Luan,Ting Jiang,Donghui Cai,Chao Sun,Xiaofei Wang,Xiaoge Zhao,Xingchun Gou 대한암학회 2021 Cancer Research and Treatment Vol.53 No.2

Purpose Bone destruction and pain caused by cancer is one of the most devastating complications of cancer patients with bone metastases, and it seriously affects the quality of patients’ life. Extracellular matrix metalloproteinase inducer (EMMPRIN) is a cell adhesion molecule with increased expression in a variety of tumors. This study focused to clarify the specific function of EMMPRIN in bone metastasis of breast cancer.Materials and Methods Adenovirus with shRNA-EMMPRIN was transfected into MRMT-1 rat breast carcinoma cells, and the MRMT-1 cells with different expression levels of EMMPRIN were implanted into the bone marrow cavity of rat tibia. Next, the effect of down-regulation of EMMPRIN was evaluated as follows: bone damage was detected by X-ray radiological and tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase staining; the tumor burden was evaluated by hematoxylin and eosin staining; the test of pain-related behaviors was assessed used the bilateral paw withdrawal mechanical threshold; and the levels of secretory factors in tumor conditioned medium were determined by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.ResultsWe found that down-regulation of EMMPRIN in tumor cells can simultaneously reduce tumor burden, relieve cancer-induced bone destruction and pain. ConclusionMaterials and Methods EMMPRIN is expected to be a therapeutic target for relieving bone metastasis of breast cancer and alleviating cancerinduced bone destruction and pain. The method of targeting EMMPRIN may be a promising strategy for the treatment of cancer in the future.

TRAVELING WAVES OF AN SIRS EPIDEMIC MODEL WITH SPATIAL DIFFUSION AND TIME DELAY

Yanke Du,Rui Xu 한국전산응용수학회 2012 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.30 No.3

This paper is concerned with an SIRS epidemic model with spatial diffusion and time delay representing the length of the immunity period. By using a new cross iteration scheme and Schauder's fixed point theorem, we reduce the existence of traveling wave solutions to the existence of a pair of upper-lower solutions. By constructing a newfashioned pair of upper-lower solutions, we derive the existence of a traveling wave solution connecting the uninfected steady state and the infected steady state.

Fe–Mn–Ce/ceramic powder composite catalyst for highly volatile elemental mercury removal in simulated coal-fired flue gas

Jianrong Li,Jinsheng Chen,Yanke Yu,Chi He 한국공업화학회 2015 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.25 No.-

The Fe–Mn–Ce/CP catalyst prepared by the incipient-wetness impregnation method was investigated for elemental mercury (Hg0) removal in simulated coal-fired flue gas. The incorporation of Fe could remarkably enhance the SO2-resistance of Fe–Mn–Ce/CP catalyst at low temperature, and the existence of water vapor had negative impact on Hg0 removal efficiency. More than 95% of Hg0 could be removed at 100 8C under the conditions of 60 ppm HCl, 3% O2 (v/v), 5% H2O (v/v) and 400 ppm SO2. Hg-TPD results indicated that Hg0 adsorption amount decreased after the addition of H2O or SO2. The XPS results revealed that the incorporation of Fe could enhance the contents of high valence Mnx+ (i.e., Mn3+/Mn4+) and Ce3+ species in the composite catalysts, which are favorable for the oxidation process of elemental mercury. The surface characteristics were not the primary factor determining the catalytic activity. Overall, the catalytic performance of the Fe–Mn–Ce/CP catalyst was closely related to the Fe3+ state, high ratios of (Mn4+ + Mn3+)/Mn2+ and high content of not fully coordinated cerium species.

Effect of Exogenous Fibrolytic Enzyme Application on the Microbial Attachment and Digestion of Barley Straw In vitro

        Wang, Y.,Ramirez-Bribiesca, J.E.,Yanke, L.J.,Tsang, A.,McAllister, T.A. Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2012 Animal Bioscience Vol.25 No.1

The effects of exogenous fibrolytic enzymes (EFE; a mixture of two preparations from Trichoderma spp., with predominant xylanase and ${\beta}$-glucanase activities, respectively) on colonization and digestion of ground barley straw and alfalfa hay by Fibrobacter succinogenes S85 and Ruminococcus flavefaciens FD1 were studied in vitro. The two levels (28 and 280 ${\mu}g$/ml) of EFE tested and both bacteria were effective at digesting NDF of hay and straw. With both substrates, more NDF hydrolysis (p<0.01) was achieved with EFE alone at 280 than at 28 ${\mu}g$/ml. A synergistic effect (p<0.01) of F. succinogenes S85 and EFE on straw digestion was observed at 28 but not 280 ${\mu}g$/ml of EFE. Strain R. flavefaciens FD1 digested more (p<0.01) hay and straw with higher EFE than with lower or no EFE, but the effect was additive rather than synergistic. Included in the incubation medium, EFE showed potential to improve fibre digestion by cellulolytic ruminal bacteria. In a second batch culture experiment using mixed rumen microbes, DM disappearance (DMD), gas production and incorporation of $^{15}N$ into particle-associated microbial N ($^{15}N$-PAMN) were higher (p<0.001) with ammoniated (5% w/w; AS) than with native (S) ground barley straw. Application of EFE to the straws increased (p<0.001) DMD and gas production at 4 and 12 h, but not at 48 h of the incubation. EFE applied onto S increased (p<0.01) $^{15}N$-PAMN at 4 h only, but EFE on AS increased (p<0.001) $^{15}N$-PAMN at all time points. Prehydrolysis increased (p<0.01) DMD from both S and AS at 4 and 12 h, but reduced (p<0.01) $^{15}N$-PAMN in the early stage (4 h) of the incubation, as compared to non-prehydrolyzed samples. Application of EFE to barley straw increased rumen bacterial colonization of the substrate, but excessive hydrolytic action of EFE prior to incubation decreased it.
