Utilization of fly ash (FA) wastes as the carriers of catalysts for the environmental application is an economicand practical strategy for their low cost, easy accessibility and thermal stability. However, mostcatalysts immobilized on fly ash were metal or metal oxides, some potential catalysts such as metalphthalocyanine complexes have not been reported upon their heterogeneous catalysis with FA as the carriers. In this paper, highly active iron octacarboxyphthalocyanine were immobilized onto the bird nestlikesurfaces of fly ash microspheres after NaOH activation. It is noted that the FeOCPc@FA compositeswith only 2 wt.% exhibited the high catalytic efficiency in the organic dye degradation. The high concentrationof 30 mg/L rhodamine B and methylene blue could be fast decolorized in the presence ofFeOCPc@FA–2 % and KHSO5. Moreover, the ultrafast decolorization of these dyes could be observed inthe catalytic system composed of FeOCPc@FA–2 %, KHSO5 and BuOOH (tert-butyl hydroperoxide). Simultaneous activation of KHSO5 and BuOOH could be realized in our designed catalytic system. Based on the structural characterizations of composites and active species generated during the catalyticprocesses, the probable generation pathway of metal–oxygen active species and various radicals wereanalyzed to explicate the catalytic mechanism. Our investigation provides a high efficiency, low costand environmentally friendly strategy for advanced oxidation treatment of organic pollutants.

The deformation pattern of the stratum caused by constructing a new metro tunnel crossing an existing tunnel is different from the deformation pattern caused by general tunnel construction. However, the prediction results by the ordinary surface settlement prediction model often bring significant errors because the complex influence of existing tunnels on the surface settlement caused by the excavation of new tunnels is always neglected. Based on the equivalent layered method and stochastic medium theory, a prediction model for the surface settlement due to excavating a new tunnel under an existing tunnel in the heterogeneous stratum was established. By equating the bending stiffness of an existing tunnel before and after applying the equivalent layered method, the layer index was determined. The critical parameters of the stochastic medium theory were derived based on the relationship between the critical parameters of both the Peck empirical formula and the stochastic medium theory. The surface settlement of some typical projects was predicted and compared by the prediction model in this paper and the ordinary prediction model. The comparison shows that the proposed prediction model and parameter determination method in this paper had high accuracy and applicability. The results of the prediction model in this paper fit the results of numerical calculation. The research of this paper can provide a new method for the theoretical prediction of surface settlement caused by the excavation of a new tunnel under an existing tunnel in the heterogeneous stratum and the determination of critical parameters of the stochastic medium theory.problem in the construction industry, and helps reducing the material waste and budget cost.
Modeling and Evaluation of Inertia Emulation Control for DFIG Wind Turbine

With the increasing penetration of renewable energy generators in power grid, many inertia emulation control strategies have been raised to solve the problem of reduced power system inertia. A co-simulation research platform is built based on RTDS and GH Bladed, detailed comparisons are made in terms of inertia response performance, weak grid operation stability, secondary frequency drop and wind tower load analysis. Research results point out that different control schemes are similar in inertia response while virtual synchronous generator control (VSG) and inertial synchronization control (ISynC) can improve weak grid operation stability, VSG strategy is also effective in reducing frequency secondary drop and wind tower fatigue load, the combination of VSG and ISynC can get the best control results.

To supply the morphological and ecological information of oligotrich ciliates in Korea, water samples were seasonally collected in Gwangyang Bay and Jinhae Bay from August, 2010 to February, 2012 and processed by quantitative protargol staining method. As a result, six species belonging to the genus Strombidium Clapar$\grave{e}$de and Lachmann, 1859 are identified: Strombidium emergens Kahl, 1932; S. dalum Lynn et al., 1988; S. epidemum Lynn et al., 1988; S. tressum Lynn et al., 1988; S. bilobum Lynn and Gilron, 1993; S. pollostomum Lynn and Gilron, 1993. These six species were newly reported from Korean coastal waters. Strombidium emergens is a middle sized Strombidium ($20-50{\mu}m$ in length) and has open and deep oral groove to girdle portion. Strombidium dalum is a small sized Strombidium (${\geq}20{\mu}m$ in length), that has torch-like spiral anterior membranelles and an inverted triangles-shaped macronucleus on the posterior pole. The small sized S. epidemum has conspicuous trichites surrounding the girdle portion and ventral membranelles distinctly separated from anterior membranelles. The small sized S. tressum has torch-like spiral and extremely long trichites among the cilia of anterior membranelles. The middle sized S. bilobum has a bilobed macronucleus. Strombidium pollostomum is also a small sized Strombidium but its ventral membranelles are continuously connected with anterior membranelles. The five species except S. emergens occurred frequently over the wide range of water temperatures and salinities.
