We have analyzed the biomechanical characteristics of cervical spine after total disc replacement using finite element analysis. A finite element model of C2-C7 spinal motion segment was developed and validated by other experimental studies. Two types of artificial discs, semi-constraint and un-constraint, were inserted at C6-C7 segments. Inferior plane of C7 vertebra was fixed and 1Nm of moment were applied on superior plane of C2 vertebra with 50N of compressive load along follower load direction. Mobility of the cervical spine in which each artificial disc inserted was higher than that of intact one in all loading conditions. Also, high mobility at the surgical level after total disc replacement could lead higher facet joint force and ligaments axial stresses. The results of present study could be used to evaluate surgical option and validate the biomechanical characteristics of the implant in total disc replacement in cervical spine.

전기자동차의 효율을 증대하기 위하여 많은 방법이 시도되었다. 시도한 중요관심사 중 하나가 난방시스템의 효율 증대이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 많은 효과를 보여주지 못하였다. 일반적으로 기존 차량에서의 난방시스템은 크게 중요하지 않았다. 차량의 엔진에서의 발열을 이용하였기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 일반적인 PTC 시스템을 제어 방법을 지능제어 방법을 통하여 높은 에너지 효율을 얻었다. In order to improve efficient quality of EV, lot of methods has been tried. One of the main concerns in attempting is to increase the Heating system. Nevertheless not much improvement has been achieved. Generally the heating system in vehicle is not important. Because of vehicle heating system is used to engine temp. Remarkable energy efficient of development system from conventional PTC is demonstrated both in simulation and experiment as well.

The purposes of this study were to measure the ranges of motion in knee joint and during continuous passive motion(CPM) treatment and to computationally calculate joint angles at the knee joint dependent on the CPM machine design and its application. Four CPM machines and eleven candidates were recruited for this study. Experimental and numerical studies have been peformed to calculate the range-of-motion of CPM machines. From the experimental measurements, the average range of motions at the knee joint for the CPM machine #1, #2, #3, and #4 were lower than the manufactures suggested values due to improper alignments of the hip and knee joints to the CPM machines. Different design of CPM machine generated different outcomes of the ROM at the knee joints during CPM. The experiments and kinematic simulation in this study could be used to provide useful guidance in the treatment of CPM after joint surgery.
Micromechanical 시험법을 이용한 전기증착된 탄소섬유 강화 Polyetherimide 로 강인화된 에폭시 복합재료의 계면물성 평가

Micromechanical 시험법을 이용하여 전기증착된 탄소섬유와 polyetherimide(PEI)로 강인화된 에폭시 기지재료 사이의 계면물성과 미세파괴형상을 연구하였다. 계면전단강도 향상을 위해 전기증착법을 이용하여 탄소섬유를 표면 처리하였다. PEI 함량이 증가함에 따라 소성변형과 파괴인성 증가로 인해 계면전단강도는 점차적으로 증가하는 경향을 보였으며, 미처리의 경우에 순수 PEI의 계면전단강도가 가장 큰 값을 보였다. 반면 전기증착의 경우에 계면전단강도는 PEI를 첨가함에 따라서 증가하였지만 그 증가폭은 미처리의 경우 보다 작았다. 미처리의 경우에서 순수 에폭시는 취성파괴 형상을 보인 반면 순수 PEI는 연성파괴 형상을 보였고 전기증착의 경우 순수 에폭시는 미처리와는 달리 연성파괴 형상을 보임을 관찰할 수 있었다. PEI는 첨가에 의한 파괴인성 강화와 전기증착에 의한 화학결합 및 계면층의 존재는 복합재료의 계면물성 향상에 효과적으로 기여하는 것으로 고려된다. Interfacial properties and microfailure modes of electrodeposition(ED) treated carbon fiber reinforced polyetherimide(PEI) toughened epoxy composites were investigated using microdroplet test. ED was performed to improve the interfacial shear strength(IFSS). As PEI content increased, IFSS increased due to enhanced toughness and plastic deformation of PEI. In the untreated case, IFSS increased with adding PEI content, and IFSS of pure PEI matrix showed the highest. On the other hand, for ED-treated case IFSS increased with PEI content with rather low improvement rate. In the untreated case, neat epoxy resin appeared brittle microfailure mode, whereas pure PEI matrix exhibited more likely ductile microfailure mode. In the ED-treated case, neat epoxy exhibited more ductile fracture compared to the untreated case. Interfacial properties of epoxy-PEI composite can be affected efficiently by both the control of matrix toughness and ED treatment.

USIM기술은 모바일 운영시스템 및 탈부착메모리 모듈기술의 발전에 의해 증가된 프로세싱 및 통신 속도나 메모리용량에 대응하는 기술향상이 이루어지지 않았다. 이 단점을 해결하고자 고 용량, 비휘발성 NAND 플래시메모리를 가진 USIM 즉 HD-USIM으로의 진화가 요구되고 있다. 이 연구는 HD-USIM의 기술 및 특허동향을 파악한 후, HD-USIM 기반의 NFC 모바일응용 및 결제서비스 산업의 활성화 요소들을 도출하고 제시하여 정부와 민간 생태계에서의 정책 및 전략수립을 지원하는데 중점을 둔다. USIMs have fallen behind the technology growth as better mobile operating systems and removable memory modules deliver faster processing and communication speeds and higher memory capacity. To overcome such main shortcoming as insufficient memory, smart phones need to be able to combine the functionality of a USIM with high-capacity, non-volatile NAND Flash memory to create a high-density SIM (HD-SIM). In this paper, we focused to investigate and analyse the advanced technological tendency, patents, market in HD-USIM, and to suggest and elicit activation factors in supporting government policy and enterprise strategy for activation of NFC based on HD-USIM mobile application and payment service industry.
