Characteristics of a 4-phase Segment Type Switched Reluctance Motor
Higuchi, Tsuyoshi,Yamaguchi, Daiki,Abe, Takashi,Yokoi, Yuichi Journal of International Conference on Electrical 2014 Journal of international Conference on Electrical Vol.3 No.3
A novel segment type switched reluctance motor (SRM) as a rare-earth-less motor is proposed. The torque was increased by 40% and the radial force was decreased by 76% compared with the same size usual variable reluctance (VR) type SRM. Increasing the average torque, however, caused increasing torque ripple. In this paper we develop a 4-phase segment type SRM and show that the torque ripple can be decreased well.

The most popular ones are Facebook, mixi, and Twitter, which are utilized in various fields of life together with the convenient tool such as smart-phone. In this work, a questionnaire investigation is carried out in order to clarify the current usage condition, issues and desired functions. More than 1,000 samples are gathered. Bayesian network is utilized for this analysis. After conducting the sensitivity analysis, useful results are obtained. Differences in usage objectives and SNS sitesare made clear by the attributes and preference of SNS users. They can be utilized effectively for marketing by clarifying the target customer through the sensitivity analysis.

The Effect of Asynchronous Carrier on Matrix Converter Characteristics
Jun OYAMA,Tsuyoshi HIGUCHI,Takashi ABE,Eiji YAMADA,Hideki HAYASHI,Takashi KOGA 전력전자학회 1998 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.- No.-
In a matrix converter, input side and output side are coupled with each other through switching elements. Since disturbances on either side affect directly on the other side, it requires a high-speed on-line control system to compensate them.
We proposed in previous papers a new control strategy and an on-line control circuit for a matrix converter. The control circuit could keep the output voltage at commanded value against fluctuation in the supply voltage. Furthermore wave forms of the output voltage and the input current were always kept sinusoidal. The switching pattern was generated by comparing modified voltage references with a carrier. The carrier was synchronized with the supply voltage using a PLL system, which made the control circuitcomplicatedand costly.
This paper discusses on the possibility of an asynchronized carrier. Experiment results show the input current distortion in case of asynchronous carrier is bigger than that of synchronous earner However, the detenoration can be minimized by increased carrier frequency.

We proposed a novel segment type switched reluctance motor (SRM) in which the segment core was embedded in aluminum (conductive metal) rotor block in order to increase the mechanical strength and easy manufacturing as well as to improve the performance characteristics and reduce the vibration and acoustic noise. This paper explains the operation principle and the drive system and shows the experimental results in comparison with the VR type SRM.
Adsorption of phosphate using calcined Mg3–Fe layered double hydroxides in a fixed-bed column study
XiaoFeng Sun,Tsuyoshi Imai,Masahiko Sekine,Takaya Higuchi,Koichi Yamamoto,Ariyo Kanno,Shiori Nakazono 한국공업화학회 2014 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.20 No.5
A granular calcined Mg3–Fe LDH adsorbent was prepared by using co-precipitation method under low super saturation condition. The characteristic of the adsorbent was analyzed by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The continuous phosphate adsorption experiments were conducted in a glass fix-bed column. The results showed an increase in bed height and initial phosphate concentration improves the phosphate adsorption capacity probably due to the longer bed height allowing a longer empty bed contact time (EBCT) between the adsorbent and the adsorbate, meanwhile the higher initial phosphate concentration provides a higher driving force for the mass transfer; however, an increase in flow rate inhibits the phosphate adsorption due to the higher flow rate reduced the interaction time of the adsorbent in solution. The bed depth service time (BDST) model was found to predict the breakthrough curve well at a 0.024 L/h flow rate and 10 mg/L initial phosphate concentration using linear regression analysis. The Clark model was found to give a best fit to experiment data under various bed height, flow rate and initial phosphate concentration, followed by the Thomas and Yoon–Nelson models using non-linear regression analysis. The reusability experiment was conducted using actual anaerobic sludge filtrate as adsorbate. The results indicated that the adsorbent still had good selectivity in an anions coexisting solution, high phosphate adsorption capacity, and acceptable desorption efficiency.

Jun Oyama,Tsuyoshi Higuchi,Takashi Abe,Kenichirou Hayashi,Eiji Yamada 전력전자학회 1995 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.1995 No.10
For tuning the P1D parameters of an AC servo system, even a skillful engineer takes a long time and these parameteis must be re-tuned according to each application In previous woiks, we proposed a lepetitive control method with learning process to drive the horizontal-axis direct-drive robot arm with constant speed and also applied this control method to the position control in which the arm reciprocates between several points In this paper, we propose an auto tuning method of the AC servo motor Using the repetitive control method especially for periodic speed control It is very simple and powerful Availability of the control methods is confirmed experimentally.

A Study of Vehicle Fuel Consumption Simulation using VHDL-AMS Multi-domain Simulation
Abe, Takashi,Takakura, Shikoh,Higuchi, Tsuyoshi Journal of International Conference on Electrical 2013 Journal of international Conference on Electrical Vol.2 No.2
The vehicle system is a multi-domain system that requires many branches of science and engineering. Therefore the development of the vehicle system requires the use of design methodologies that utilize simulations, which have grown increasingly sophisticated in recent years. Our research group proposed a simulation modeling method based on the VHDL-AMS language. This paper describes how VHDL-AMS is used to model of vehicle fuel consumption simulation. The fuel consumption is shown using proposed simulation model on the Japanese 10-15 mode. We examine the influence of the vehicle system with electrical load and hill climb resistance in the vehicle running resistance.

In conventional pharmacological research in the field of mental disorders, pharmacological effect and dose have been estimated by ethological approach and in vitro data of affinity to the site of action. In addition, the frequency of administration has been estimated from drug kinetics in blood. However, there is a problem regarding an objective index of drug effects in the living body. Furthermore, the possibility that the concentration of drug in blood does not necessarily reflect the drug kinetics in target organs has been pointed out. Positron emission tomography (PET) techniques have made progress for more than 20 years, and made it possible to measure the distribution and kinetics of small molecule components in living brain. In this article, we focused on rational drug dosing using receptor occupancy and proof-of-concept of drugs in the drug development process using PET.
