Factors Affecting Business Performance of Construction Enterprises Listed on Vietnam Stock Markets
Thanh Cuong DANG(Thanh Cuong DANG ),Thi Hang TRINH(Thi Hang TRINH ),Thi Thao BANH(Thi Thao BANH ),Thi Yen NGUYEN(Thi Yen NGUYEN ) 한국유통과학회 2022 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.9 No.9
Based on assessing the impact of factors on the business efficiency of construction enterprises, the research team proposes policy implications to improve the business performance of listed construction enterprises in Vietnam in the coming time. The study used secondary data collected from the audited financial statements of 25 enterprises listed on Vietnam’s stock market in the period 2015–2021 to estimate the factors affecting the business performance of construction enterprises. After collecting, the data will be encrypted and checked. The article uses a quantitative research method by using a linear regression model on Eviews 10 to analyze the data and analyze the impact of factors on the business performance of construction enterprises listed on Vietnam’s stock market. The research result shows that firm size and growth rate positively affect business performance while capital structure, receivable management, fixed asset investment, and economic growth have a positive impact on the business performance of construction companies listed on the Vietnamese stock market. Based on this result, the paper also makes recommendations to the Vietnamese construction companies to enhance their business performance.
A Survey on Face-based Cryptographic Key Generation
Thao Dang,Deokjai Choi (사)한국스마트미디어학회 2020 스마트미디어저널 Vol.9 No.2
Derivation cryptographic keys from human biometrics opens a new promising research area when it can be used efficiently for not only verification or recognition tasks, but also symmetric-key based applications. Among existing biometric traits, face is considered as the most popular biometrics since facial features are informative and discriminative. In this paper, we present a comprehensive survey of Face-based key generation (FKGS). First, we summarize the trend of FKGS researches and sum up the methods which play important roles in the proposed key generation systems. Then we present the evaluation and the general performance analysis; from that, we give a discussion about the advantages and disadvantages of surveyed studies to clarify the fundamental requirements and the main challenges when implementing FKGS in practice. Finally, an outlook on future prospects is given
State Ownership and Firm Innovation? Evidence from an Emerging Market
Thao T.U. Dang,Vinh X. Vo 중앙대학교 경제연구소 2023 Journal of Economic Development Vol.48 No.4
The Vietnamese government has long recognized the essential importance of innovation in fostering sustainable competitive advantage and economic growth. While transitional countries have experienced limited research on SOEs and firm innovation, our research makes an initial effort to examine the impact of state ownership on innovation in Vietnam's emerging market using extensive panel data of firms listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange from 2007 to 2016. The study integrates the institutional view, which regards that SOEs’ political and financial favoritism would connect firms to overcome constraints; and agency theory, which holds that SOEs would be less efficient in leveraging these critical resources in pursuing innovative projects. Our study demonstrates that innovation practices occur less often with the increased government involvement in a corporate structure. Our findings are attributable to the inherent problems of state-owned firms and suggest implications for managers and policymakers regarding the benefits and costs of state ownership in fostering innovation in the context of the socialist-oriented market economy of Vietnam.
DRG2 Deficiency Causes Impaired Microtubule Dynamics in HeLa Cells
Thao Dang,장수화,백성훈,박정우,한인섭 한국분자세포생물학회 2018 Molecules and cells Vol.41 No.12
The developmentally regulated GTP binding protein 2 (DRG2) is involved in the control of cell growth and differentiation. Here, we demonstrate that DRG2 regulates microtubule dynamics in HeLa cells. Analysis of live imaging of the plus-ends of microtubules with EB1-EGFP showed that DRG2 deficiency (shDRG2) significantly reduced the growth rate of HeLa cells. Depletion of DRG2 increased ‘slow and long-lived’ subpopulations, but decreased ‘fast and short-lived’ subpopulations of microtubules. Microtubule polymerization inhibitor exhibited a reduced response in shDRG2 cells. Using immunoprecipitation, we show that DRG2 interacts with tau, which regulates microtubule polymerization. Collectively, these data demonstrate that DRG2 may aid in affecting microtubule dynamics in HeLa cells.

Genetic variability and correlation analysis are fundamental references for the innovative development of breeding programs to improve varieties and desirable traits. In the present study, the correlation and path analysis was conducted to understand the association among yield, micronutrients (iron and zinc), and protein content under aerobic conditions in local rice landraces from various agro ecological regions of Karnataka, India. The grain yield per plant showed a significant positive correlation with plant height, the tiller number, spikelet fertility, flag leaf length, and test weight. The zinc content was negatively correlated with grain yield per plant. The phenotypic path-coefficient analysis revealed that the total number of tillers, grain length, test weight, and harvest index exhibited a positive direct effect on grain yield per plant, while Grain protein content showed a low direct effect on this trait. This study also indicated that harvest index, flag leaf length, spikelet fertility, and test weight could be considered to make for a higher yield.
