A Novel Integer Programming Approach to the One-Dimensional Facility Layut Problem
Taehan Lee,Kyungchul Park 한국경영과학회 2010 Management Science and Financial Engineering Vol.16 No.1
We present a new integer programming formulation and a class of valid inequalities for solving the one-dimensional facility layout problem, which leads to a very efficient solution method for the problem.
Valuing retail credit tranches with structural, double mixture models
Taehan Bae,Ian Iscoe,Changki Kim 한국재무학회 2014 한국재무학회 학술대회 Vol.2014 No.05
This study considers the class of double mixtures to model a general dependence structure beyond the typical conditional independence assumption among the entities in a homogeneous credit portfolio. The two mixing components are i) the marginal distributions of the systemic and idiosyncratic factors and ii) the conditional probability measure that incorporates the further dependence structure among the idiosyncratic factors, given the systemic factor. For a large portfolio, the fair spread of a structured retail credit tranche is expressed in terms of the sums of single integrals, which can be easily computed numerically. We discuss the behaviors of tranche spreads under several double mixture models, and calibrate these models to market data.
Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia on glans penis

Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia (IPEH) or Masson’s tumor is a rare vascular tumor commonly found on the head and neck and the extremities, particularly the fingers. Clinically IPEH presents as a firm, dome-shaped, red or blue-black vascular papule or nodule. It is histologically characterized by endothelial hyperplasia with a variable degree of intraluminal papillary and anastomosing channel-like structures lined by proliferating endothelial cells. A 69-year-old man visitied our clinic complaing of two dome-shaped, violaceous to blackish papules on the glans penis of 1 years’ duration. Skin biopsy lesion from the lesion showed a mass of anastomosing vascular channels with a variable degree of intraluminal papillary projections, which was covered by a single layer of endothelium. Based on the clinical and histopathological findings, diagnosis of IPEH of the glans penis was made. IPEH is a rare disease that accounts for approximately 2% of all vascular tumors of the skin, usually occurring solitary lesion in the head and neck and the extremities. To our knowledge, there are only 4 reported cases of IPEH in the genital area in world literature. Most of the cases were clinically diagnosed as venous lake and IPEH was diagnosed after biopsy. In addition, most of the IPEH occurs as a single lesion, but our case occurred in two lesions. So we herein report a rare case of IPEH on glans penis.
Intralymphatic histiocytosis associated with osteoarthritis: a case report
( Taehan Koo ),( Gayun Baek ),( Eunjung Park ),( Mingyul Jo ),( Jiho Park ),( Min-soo Kim ),( Mihn-sook Jue ) 대한피부과학회 2019 대한피부과학회 학술발표대회집 Vol.71 No.1
Intralymphatic histiocytosis (ILH) is a rare cutaneous condition. It is characterized by the presence of dilated lymphatic vessels containing aggregates of histiocytes within their lumina. Althoug the etiology of ILH remains unknown, It commonly occurred with rheumatoid arthritis(RA), metal joint implants and malignancy. However, ILH associated with OA has been reported very rarely. A 83-year-old woman visited our clinic complaining of asymptomatic erythematous to pinkish patch on left elbow 6-months ago. She was diagnosed with osteoarthritis(OA) and the lesion was located on the vicinity of the affected joint. Skin biopsy from the lesion showed dilated dermal vessels, some of them containing aggregation of histiocyte within their lumina. Immunohistochemically, the aggregated histiocytes were positive for CD68 and the most dilated vessels were positive for D2-40, a selective marker for lymphatic endothelium. Based on the clinical and histopathological findings, the diagnosis of ILH associated with OA was made. She was treated with intralesional triamcinolone acetonide injection (5mg/cc) and the skin lesion gradually improved. We herein report a rare case of ILH overlapping and adjacent to the elbow with degenerative osteoarthritis.
