Karst Sinkholes and Subsidence: the Problem of Predicting Diameters
( Sergey Shcherbakov ) 대한지질공학회 2019 대한지질공학회 학술발표회논문집 Vol.2019 No.2
Today's methods of direct investigations of soil massifs (drilling, geophysics) in conditions of covered karst are not allow with high precision determine age and mechanism of establishment of surface karst forms and also places of occurrence and dimensions of underground karst features (cavities, fractured zones). Such limitations in the ways of studying surface and subsurface karst forms essentially affects on the quality of prognosis of sizes of sinkholes and subsidence inherent at the moment of their occurrence. For increasing of authenticity of such prognosis should be simultaneously used different methods of estimations, based on both an investigation of dimensions of observed surface karst forms in situ and on studying of soil massifs behavior above karst cavity. The present practice of karst prognosis in different degrees applies next methods for estimation of sizes of surface deformations: a) expert method; b) probabilistic method; c) deterministic method; d) method of physical modeling. All of mentioned above methods has their own advantages and disadvantages and need to be fully integrated each other during karst deformations prognosis. In combination of prognostic methods should be maximum concerned natural and technogene conditions of karst development, such as: a) surficial karst distribution within researched territory; b) tectonic structures, geological and hydrogeological conditions of site with engineering zoning of geological section; c) project stage and level of responsibility of construction object. In the research has been offered the block-scheme of optimal integration of different methods for solution of engineering-karstological tasks in construction.
The Transformation of Asian Food Consumption and Russia as a Guarantor of Food Security in Asia
( Alina Shcherbakova ),( Denis Shcherbakov ) 서울대학교 통일평화연구원 2018 Asian Journal of Peacebuilding Vol.6 No.2
This article examines the state of the global food problem, food security in East Asia, and the opportunity for Russia to prevent a food deficit in North Korea. The authors analyze the symptoms of the global food problem, the theoretical approaches to food security, the transformation of food consumption in Asia, and the food trade between Russia and the Korean Peninsula. One major conclusion is that Russia is in the best position among all countries to increase food exports to Asia―and especially to North Korea―as the people of Asia’s food consumption habits shape the new structure of food trade between that region and the rest of the world.

Objective: The semen quality of stallions including sperm motility is an important target of selection as it has a high level of individual variability. However, effects of the molecular architecture of the genome on the mechanisms of sperm formation and their preservation after thawing have been poorly investigated. Here, we conducted a genome-wide association study (GWAS) for the sperm motility of cryopreserved semen in stallions of various breeds. Methods: Semen samples were collected from the stallions of 23 horse breeds. The following semen characteristics were examined: progressive motility (PM), progressive motility after freezing (FPM), and the difference between PM and FPM. The respective DNA samples from these stallions were genotyped using Axiom Equine Genotyping Array. Results: We performed a GWAS search for single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers and potential genes related to motility properties of frozen-thawed semen in the stallions of various breeds. As a result of the GWAS analysis, two SNP markers, rs1141327473 and rs1149048772, were identified that were associated with preservation of the frozen-thawed stallion sperm motility, the relevant putative candidate genes being NME/NM23 family member 8 (NME8), olfactory receptor family 2 subfamily AP member 1 (OR2AP1), and olfactory receptor family 6 subfamily C member 4 (OR6C4). Potential implications of effects of these genes on sperm motility are herein discussed. Conclusion: The GWAS results enabled us to localize novel SNPs and candidate genes for sperm motility in stallions. Implications of the study for horse breeding and genetics are a better understanding of genomic regions and candidate genes underlying stallion sperm quality, and improvement in horse reproduction and breeding techniques. The identified markers and genes for sperm cryotolerance and the respective genomic regions are promising candidates for further studying the biological processes in the formation and function of the stallion reproductive system.
Digitalization as a Means of Anti-Corruption Policy in the Sphere of Health Care in Ukraine
Budniuk, Olexandr,Pereviznyk, Viacheslav,Mazurenko, Hanna,Shcherbakov, Serhii,Antonova, Liudmyla International Journal of Computer ScienceNetwork S 2022 International journal of computer science and netw Vol.22 No.7
The main purpose of the article is to determine the role of the digitalization phenomenon (its positive and negative sides) as a means of anti-corruption policy in the healthcare sector of Ukraine and provide practical recommendations for transforming the domestic healthcare sector based on digitalization through the implementation of organizational and legal measures. The definitions of such concepts as: corruption in the healthcare sector; digitalization; digitalization of the healthcare sector; e-medicine. A typology of reasons for promoting the development of corruption in the healthcare sector of modern Ukraine is given. As a result of the study, a number of scientific tasks were implemented. The negative side of the introduction of digitalization in the healthcare sector has been identified and illustrated. The types of e-services in the healthcare sector are systematized, each of them is characterized and the fundamental directions of their development are indicated. The existing problems of technostress are characterized (techno-overload; techno-invasion; techno-complexity; techno-insecurity; techno-uncertainty). In the context of considering digitalization as a means of anti-corruption policy in the healthcare sector, practical organizational and legal measures are proposed for implementation.

A high gradient magnetic (HGM) separator prototype with the $2^{nd}$ generation high temperature superconducting (2G HTS) magnetic system operated in sub-cooled nitrogen is presently under development at NRC "Kurchatov Institute" (Moscow, Russia). The main goal of the project is an attempt to shift away from the complicated liquid helium cryostats towards simple cryocooler-based nitrogen cryogenics as much more convenient for HGM separators industrial applications. Using of commercial HTS tapes allows to get a sufficient level of magnetic fields and extraction forces with low energy consumption. The expected operational parameters of the device are 1.2-1.5 T in the empty operational gap and up to 3 T on the ferromagnetic filters. In this paper we briefly describe the design of the HTS rotary separator prototype with the horizontally oriented rotor axis and propose different types of ferromagnetic filters intended for weakly magnetic ores enrichment.

The paper gives the results of the experiments with a model two-section REBCO solenoid cooled by either gaseous helium (GHe) or sub-cooled/solid nitrogen (SN2) in (50-77) K temperature range. The major cooling source was a single-stage cryocooler Sumitomo CH-110 with the cooling power of 175 W and 130 W at 77 K and 50 K respectively. The coil itself was not directly conduction cooled. We compare the time taken by both coolants to obtain the temperature of the magnet of about 50 K and the homogeneity of the temperature distribution within the cryostat. Test results for the coil operation in solid nitrogen together with the comparison of its critical properties in SN2 and GHe are also presented.
