Separating of the facial nerve caused by compression near the blood vessels that cause the blood vessels and surgery when the hemifacial spasm, facial spasms, will disappear. These impacts have occurred very rarely and seen in this paper as facial spasms due to a brain tumor. The size of a brain tumor grows, which will put pressure on the surrounding facial spasm. Treated hemifacial spasm symptoms disappear through the removal of a brain tumor that occurs because saw.
The Shaker Type Potassium Channel, GORK, Regulates Abscisic Acid Signaling in Arabidopsis
Lim, Chae Woo,Kim, Sang Hee,Choi, Hyong Woo,Luan, Sheng,Lee, Sung Chul The Korean Society of Plant Pathology 2019 Plant Pathology Journal Vol.35 No.6
Evolution of adaptive mechanisms to abiotic stress is essential for plant growth and development. Plants adapt to stress conditions by activating the abscisic acid (ABA) signaling pathway. It has been suggested that the ABA receptor, clade A protein phosphatase, SnRK2 type kinase, and SLAC1 anion channel are important components of the ABA signaling pathway. In this study, we report that the shaker type potassium (K+) channel, GORK, modulates plant responses to ABA and abiotic stresses. Our results indicate that the full length of PP2CA is needed to interact with the GORK C-terminal region. We identified a loss of function allele in gork that displayed ABA-hyposensitive phenotype. gork and pp2ca mutants showed opposite responses to ABA in seed germination and seedling growth. Additionally, gork mutant was tolerant to the NaCl and mannitol treatments, whereas pp2ca mutant was sensitive to the NaCl and mannitol treatments. Thus, our results indicate that GORK enhances the sensitivity to ABA and negatively regulates the mechanisms involved in high salinity and osmotic stresses via PP2CA-mediated signals.

The present study was designed to determine the effect of barn or cycle of grazing on changes of biochemical metabolites in prepartum and changes of milk composition in postpartum of dairy cows. For this purpose, a total of sixteen 25 months old Holstein primiparous dairy cows were allocated in two groups (n=8) with an average body weight of 571.61 ± 35.30 kg (Barn) and 578.10 ± 39.20 kg (Grazing). The study was conducted from June 2018 to October 2018. Results revealed that barn raised dairy cows had a higher increase in their serum albumin and calcium level on day 14 prepartum. However, the level of palmitic acid, saturated fatty acid increased significantly, and the level of fat, oleic acid, γ-linoleic acid, arachidonic acid and unsaturated fatty acids decreased significantly in barn raised dairy cow's milk on day 14 postpartum. There were no significant differences observed with respect to all other biochemical metabolites, fatty acids and minerals between barn raised and cycle grazing dairy cows during prepartum and postpartum. Our study results could serve to a better understanding of barn raised cow with respect to changes of biochemical metabolites in prepartum and changes of milk composition, fatty acids and minerals content in grazing dairy cows in postpartum for estimating their physiological status.
Improvement of Recovery Characteristics of a Flux-Lock Type SFCL Using a Superconductor's Trigger
Sung-Hun Lim,Jae-Chul Kim,Bang-Wook Lee IEEE 2010 IEEE transactions on applied superconductivity Vol.20 No.3
<P>To achieve the effective performance of the flux-lock type superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL), the countermeasures to improve the recovery characteristics of the flux-lock type SFCL are required. In this paper, as one of the solutions, the method using a superconductor's trigger when the quench in the high-TC superconducting (HTSC) element occurred was suggested. To verify the suggested method in case of the fault occurrence, the control circuit to detect the quench of HTSC element and the current limiting resistor (CLR) to limit the fault current were designed and fabricated. With the fabricated control circuit and the CLR, the fault current limiting and recovery characteristics of the flux-lock type SFCL using the suggested method were tested. Through the analysis for the experimental results, the recovery characteristics of the flux-lock type SFCL could be confirmed to be improved than the SFCL not using the superconductor's trigger.</P>

Then, Li0.33Mo4O6 was obtained via electrochemical charge of the electrode at 3.4V vs. Li. The electrochemical lithium-ion insertion into Li0.33Mo4O6 occurs stepwise: three separate peaks were observed in the cyclic voltammogram and three quasi-plateaus in the galvanostatic profile, indicating a complicated intercalation mechanism. However, examination of the structural evolution of Li <I>x</I> Mo4O6 during the electrochemical cycle indicated a reversible reaction over the measured voltage range (2.0–3.2V) and <I>x</I> range (0.33 ≤ <I>x</I> ≤ 1.00). Despite the excellent electrochemical reversibility, Li <I>x</I> Mo4O6 showed poor rate performance with a low capacity of 36.3mAhg−1 at a rate of 0.05C. Nonetheless, this work demonstrates a new structural class of lithium cathode materials with condensed metal clusters and 1D tunnels, and provides a host material candidate for multivalent-ion batteries.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> An electrochemical Li-ion intercalation into Mo metal-cluster oxide is demonstrated. </LI> <LI> Reversible structural changes are observed during the electrochemical cycle. </LI> <LI> A new structural class of lithium cathode materials is provided. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>The electrochemical lithium-ion intercalation properties of a molybdenum metal-cluster oxide of Li <I>x</I> Mo4O6 (0.33 ≤ <I>x</I> ≤ 1.0) in an organic electrolyte of 1.0M LiPF6 in EC/DMC (1:2v/v) were characterized for the first time.</P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

Background: The Multicenter Orthopaedic Outcomes Network (MOON) group recently reported that medial meniscus (MM) repairs are associated with more frequent re-operations when compared to lateral meniscus (LM) repairs. The purpose of this study was to compare the meniscal healing and the incidence of subsequent reoperation of medial and lateral meniscal tears that occurred concurrently with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed patients who underwent second-look arthroscopy after primary ACL reconstruction (ACLR) between June 2005 to December 2016. The healing of meniscal tears following repair or left in situ, and re-tear following partial meniscectomy, were evaluated via second-look arthroscopy and compared between medial and lateral meniscus. Moreover, the incidence of subsequent meniscal re-operation after the index ACLR were investigated and compared between medial and lateral meniscus. Subsequent meniscal re-operation was performed in cases of the following three symptomatic meniscus tears: re-tears at the meniscectomy site; new tears; and failed healing of repaired or left in situ meniscus. Results: There were 148 meniscal tears in 121 patients at index ACLR. There were 62 MM tears, 38 LM tears, and 24 bilateral meniscus tears. At second-look arthroscopy, the “successful healing” rate for tears following repair was higher in LM tears (91.2%) compared to MM tears (80.0%), although it was not statistically significant (p > 0.05). No significant differences were observed in the healing of left in situ tears or re-tear of meniscectomy site between medial and lateral meniscus. Patients with MM tears combined with ACL injuries had a higher incidence of subsequent meniscal re-operation compared to patients with LM tears (25.6% vs 16.1%, p = 0.025). Conclusions: There was a trend for the successful healing rate to be higher in LM repairs than MM repairs. Subsequent meniscal re-operations after ACLR were more frequent in patients with medial meniscal tears concurrently with ACL injuries in comparison to patients with lateral meniscal tears. Level of study: Level IV, retrospective case series.

Pulmonary toxocariasis masquerading as metastatic tumor nodules in a child with osteosarcoma
Lim, Yeon-Jung,Kim, Ji-Hye,Oh, Sung Hee,Jeon, Seok Chul,Koh, Hyun Chul,Lee, Young-Ho Wiley Subscription Services, Inc., A Wiley Company 2009 Pediatric blood & cancer Vol.53 No.7
<P>A 14-year-old male, who completed chemotherapy following limb salvage surgery for osteosarcoma approximately 2 years ago, was seen for routine follow-up. A CT scan revealed new scattered multifocal nodular lesions. An ultrasonography-guided percutaneous needle biopsy was done to confirm pulmonary metastasis of the underlying osteosarcoma. The lung biopsy showed findings of eosinophilic pneumonia with no evidence of malignancy. Peripheral eosinophilia was also noted. When a more thorough history revealed frequent intake of raw cow liver, we diagnosed pulmonary toxocariasis by ELISA for specific serum IgG antibody.
