Inspiring Change Through Dance -The Bayanihan Experience-
( Suzie Moya Benitez ) 한국무용연구학회 2014 한국무용연구 Vol.32 No.3
The purpose of this study was to examine infusion of new technology and new sounds created acceptance and appreciation would inspiring positive change among the high school student. For examining this research`s problem the new developments in dance particularly the presentation of folk dances in the new genre were reviewed. A survey was conducted to be able to collect the necessary information from a sample of the target market population through questionnaires accomplished after viewing Bayanihan performances at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Done during the season production of the dance company. The season production entitled “On Golden Wings of Dance” featured both the classics and innovative works. Our question was answered through a survey taken from a sample from the high school and college students who watched during the four day presentation. Two hundred students were drawn from among almost 2,000 students who booked the shows. As a result, the students enjoyed the least was the “Spanish suite” because the dances belonged to an era which they cannot seem to understand and connect with. Of the many theatrical values that appealed to them the most, colors ranked first, with 92% ; Lighting ranked 2nd with 91%; choreography ranked 3rd with 89.3% and costumes ranked 4th with 86.9%. These are the four most significant theatrical values that appealed to the students.
Immanence of justice (Rechtspflege) Administration in Hegel's Philosophy of Law and its Conflicts
Pablo Moya Pulgar 한국헤겔학회 2023 헤겔연구 Vol.- No.54
The present chapter aims to illustrate main moments of the section on justice administration (§ 209-229) within Guidelines of the Philosophy of Law (PhR) and to expose some conflicting elements in its understanding. This chapter is divided into three sections. First, it thematizes the task of justice administration as a safeguard of right. Second, it characterizes the narrative cohesion of justice administration within civil society and its tension with the concept of the state. Third, it states the problem of personalization within the system of laws and the interpellation of Marx. The hypothesis was that Hegel tried to prove the need for the codification of law by virtue of defense of personal freedom and property, which was only possible through judicial power / violence.
An Argument Against Theological Politics
Juan Diego M. Moya-Bedoya 한국종교사회학회 2020 종교와사회 Vol.8 No.1
This paper consists of an argument against Theological Politics (conceived as the exigency to draw politics from the Holy Scriptures). In the first four sections of his textual contribution, the author elucidates the definiendum religion, from the point of view of a polythetical approach. In the last three sections of his textual contribution, the author constructs his polemical argumentative reflections concerning Theological Politics. The objective of his critique is to evince some inadmissible consequences implied by the exigency to draw politics from the Holy Scriptures, ex. g. the curtailment of freedom of thought.

Abstract

This study proposes the integration of reverse osmosis desalination with renewable energy sources and battery storage using energy-efficient power pinch analysis methodology for three different scenarios under an energy management strategy considering power supply and demand and power losses of the components in the system. The power cascade table and storage cascade table are introduced as numerical tools of power pinch analysis to determine the minimum outsourced electricity supply and available excess electricity for the next day, as well as the waste electricity, needed electricity, and the battery capacity for the system during a normal operation day. An optimization algorithm was applied based on the storage cascade table for a normal operation year to determine the optimal battery capacity for a dynamic freshwater demand to minimize the outsourced freshwater. Based on the energy management strategy, a case study in London, UK, showed scenario one as the best scenario with an optimum battery capacity of 1170.36kWh and freshwater production of 40,604.5m3, which can minimize 60,096.9m3 of outsourced freshwater with a reasonable total annual cost of 503,159$/year.

Highlights

Integrating an RES–RO under energy management strategy for three different scenarios.

Constructing a power cascade table for an RES–BS–RO system considering power losses.

Applying an optimization algorithm to optimize battery capacity with minimum freshwater production.

Identifying the produced freshwater and its total annual cost with optimum battery capacity for a case study in London.

Graphical abstract

[DISPLAY OMISSION]
