주연소 영역 공기배분 및 희석공기공 배치에 따른 연소 성능 변화 연구

본 논문에서는 항공 가스 터빈용 연소기 개발을 위한 단일 연소기 섹터 시험 결과에 대한 논의하였다. 연소기로 공급되는 전체 공기 중 주 연소 영역으로 공급되는 공기비율을 변화 시키면서 배출물 농도, 라이너 표면 온도 분포 및 연소기 출구 온도 패턴 등의 연소 성능 변화를 연구하였다. 주 연소 공기량이 증가함에 따라 CO와 NOx 배출 농도가 증가하는 경향이 있었으며, 연소기 출구 패턴은 개선되는 것으로 나타났다. 희석 공기공을 회전시켜 배치하는 경우 연소기 출구 온도 패턴의 변화가 민감하게 변하는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 연소기의 효율, 내구성 및 배출물 감소 성능을 고려한 연소기 라이너 설계 최적화 과정의 기초 자료로 활용할 예정이다. As a part of the development of aircraft gas turbines, combustion performance tests have been conducted in the single combustor sector. The effects of change in the amount of air supplied to the main combustion zone to the performance of the combustor, such as a pollutant emission, a liner temperature distribution and an exit temperature patterns, were studied. Emissions of CO and NOx increased with the main air-ratio and exit temperature pattern was improved. When changing the pattern of the dilution holes, it was shown that the temperature patterns on the exit plane of the combustor and the surface of liner changed depending on the main flame structure and mixing with diluent air. These observations will be applied to combustor liner designs to improve combustor durability and emissions reduction performance.
Primary breast lymphoma: a single institution’s experience

Purpose: Primary breast lymphoma is a very rare disease, accounting for 0.4?0.5% of all breast malignancies. Due to the rarity, there are only limited reports of this disease in Korean women. In this reason, we report the experience of a single institution in Korea with primary breast lymphoma (PBL). Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 9 patients with PBL and evaluated the clinicopathologic characteristics and treatment outcomes. Results: All nine patients were female and had diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBL). The median age at diagnosis was 47.9 years and the median tumor size was 3.8 cm in diameter. The most common symptom was a painless palpable mass. Five patients were classified as stage IEA and four patients were IIEA according to the Ann Arbor staging system. Four patients underwent excisional biopsy and one patient underwent a lumpectomy with sentinel lymph node biopsy due to uncertain histology of the preoperative core needle biopsy. Nine patients received anthracycline containing combined chemotherapy; among them, five patients were treated with a rituximab containing regimen. Four patients received radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy. A complete response was achieved in eight patients. During the 44 months of the median follow-up period, three cases of relapse occurred, and among them, two patients died due to disease progression. Conclusion: Most PBLs are B-cell origin, with DLBL being the most common histologic type. A combined treatment modality has been known to have positive effects on prognosis, and surgery should be limited to a diagnostic purpose.

A tunable fused fiber coupler was developed based on the thermo-optic effect of the external medium surrounding the fused taped region of the coupler. The transmission characteristics of the fused fiber coupler were strongly dependent on the refractive index of the surrounding medium due to the evanescent field interaction. A polymer with a matched refractive index and high thermo-optic coefficient was used as the external medium and its refractive index was controlled thermo-optically by a Ni-Cr coil heater. The technology was applied to a fused fiber coupler for 1310nm/1550nm wavelength division multiplexing(WDM). The good thermo-optic effects of the polymer induced by the coil heater led to a 120 nm wide tunable wavelength range with an applied electrical power of 605 mW.
