        Lingling Liu,Shixian Chen,Anchang Xu,Guangming Cai 한국섬유공학회 2020 Fibers and polymers Vol.21 No.2

Adding nano silver wires (AgNWs) onto electrospun polyurethane (PU) nanofiber mat provide a new idea for developing wearable smart textiles. The excellent stretchability of PU and the excellent electrical conductivity of AgNWsenable wearable smart textiles to monitor human physiological data. In this study, PU nanofiber mat was prepared by electrospinning and subsequently was dip into AgNWs dispersion for conductivity. The PU nanofiber mats adsorbed with AgNWs were with both good stretching and electrical conductivity. The surface morphology and surface elements were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS). The mechanical properties and the variation of electrical conductivity under static and dynamic stretching cycles were studied. In addition, it is accurately monitoring variation in electrical conductivity during finger bending and wrist movement. The experimental results show that the PU mat treated by AgNWs has the potential to be used as a wearable strain sensor for real-time monitoring of human motion.

Catalpol Inhibits Tregs-to-Th17 Cell Transdifferentiation by Up-Regulating Let-7g-5p to Reduce STAT3 Protein Levels

        Lingling Zhou,Yuxi Di,Mingfei Zhang,Yichang Chen,Ruonan Sun,Meiyu Shen,Fengxiang Tian,Pei Yang,Feiya Qian 연세대학교의과대학 2022 Yonsei medical journal Vol.63 No.1

Purpose: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic systemic autoimmune disease, and Th17 cells are key factors in the pathogenesis of human inflammatory conditions, such as RA. Catalpol (CAT), a component in Rehmanniae Radix (RR), has been found to regulate human immunity. However, the effects of CAT on Th17 cell differentiation and improvement of RA are not clear. Materials and Methods: Collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) mice were constructed to detect the effects of CAT on arthritis and Th17 cells. The effect of CAT on Th17 differentiation was evaluated with let-7g-5p transfection experiments. Flow cytometry was used to detect the proportion of Th17 cells after CAT treatment. Levels of interleukin-17 and RORγt were assessed by qRT-PCR and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The expression of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) was determined by qRT-PCR and Western blot. Results: We found that the proportion of Th17 cells was negatively associated with let-7g-5p expression in CIA mice. In in vitro experiments, CAT suppressed traditional differentiation of Th17 cells. Simultaneously, CAT significantly decreased Tregs-to-Th17 cells transdifferentiation. Our results demonstrated that CAT inhibited Tregs-to-Th17 cells transdifferentiation by up-regulating let-7g-5p and that the suppressive effect of CAT on traditional differentiation of Th17 cells is not related with let-7-5p. Conclusion: Our data indicate that CAT may be a potential modulator of Tregs-to-Th17 cells transdifferentiation by up-regulating let-7g-5p to reduce the expression of STAT3. These results provide new directions for research into RA treatment.

Extending absorption of near-infrared wavelength range for high efficiency CIGS solar cell via adjusting energy band

        Lingling Yan,Yiming Bai,Bo Yang,Nuofu Chen,Zhan'ao Tan,Tasawar Hayat,Ahmed Alsaedi 한국물리학회 2018 Current Applied Physics Vol.18 No.4

The efficient photon harvesting in near infrared wavelength range is still a challenging problem for high performance Cu(In1-x, Gax)Se2 (CIGS) solar cell. Herein, adjusting the energy band distribution of CIGS solar cell could provide significant academic guidance for devices with superior output electric power. To understand the role of each functional layer, the optimal 3000 nm CIGS absorber layer with 1.3 eV bandgap and 30 nm CdS buffer layer were firstly obtained via simulating the uniform band-gap structures. By introducing CIGS absorber layer with a double grading Ga/(GaþIn) profile, the power conversion efficiency of the double gradient band gap cell is superior to that of uniform band-gap cell through extending absorption of near-infrared wavelength range. Upon optimization, the best power conversion efficiency of CIGS with a double gradient band gap solar cell is improved significantly to 24.90%, among the best values reported in literatures, which is an 8.17% relative increase compared with that of the uniform band-gap cell. Our findings provide a theoretical guide toward the design of high performance solar cells and enrich the understandings of the energy band engineering for developing of novel semiconductor devices.

Synergistic interaction of b-galactosyl-pyrrolidinyl diazeniumdiolate with cisplatin against three tumor cells

        Lingling Deng,Erli Zhang,Chang Chen 대한약학회 2013 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.36 No.5

Cisplatin is a platinum-based compound that islargely employed as an effective antitumor drug against awide spectrum of solid neoplasms for many years. Despiteof its initial therapeutic success, cisplatin often results inhigh incidence of chemoresistance and high-dose cytotoxicity. Consequently, considerable efforts in hopes ofreducing the dose-dependent side effects of cisplatin whileretaining, or even enhancing, its antitumor properties havebeen undertaken throughout the past three decades. Nitricoxide (NO) is a small lipophilic free radical gas possessingversatile biological functions, including antitumor activities. However, NO, of itself, is difficult to be used, becauseof its extreme instability and short half-life. Previously, wehave reported a stable NO donor, b-galactosyl-pyrrolidinyldiazeniumdiolate (b-Gal-NONOate), which exerts tumorkilling effects through site-specific intracellular release ofexogenous NO. In this study, we further investigated thecombined inhibitory effect of b-Gal-NONOate and cisplatinagainst C6/LacZ, 9L/LacZ, and HeLa/LacZ tumorcells. It was shown that, in combination with b-Gal-NONOate, the antitumor effects of cisplatin against thesecommon tumor cell lines were increased in a dose-dependentmanner. Furthermore, the combination of thesechemicals resulted in a synergistic suppression on tumorgrowth, which was achieved under a much lower cisplatindosage. Collectively, our findings indicate that b-Gal-NONOate can synergistically improve the antitumor effectof cisplatin, and may therefore reduce its side effectscaused by high dose cisplatin monochemotherapies. Accordingly, b-Gal-NONOate is an important therapeuticassistant reagent with great potential of clinical applicability, and thus worth of continuous research in the comingfuture.

Asymptotic properties for distributions and densities of extremes from generalized gamma distribution

Lingling Du,Shouquan Chen 한국통계학회 2016 Journal of the Korean Statistical Society Vol.45 No.2

For a generalized gamma random sequence, some fundamental properties and convergence rates of the distribution of its partial maximum to the Gumbel extreme value distribution are derived. The asymptotic expansions for the distribution and density of maximum from generalized gamma distribution are given under an optimal choice of normalizing constants.

MODEL STRUCTURES AND RECOLLEMENTS INDUCED BY DUALITY PAIRS

        Wenjing Chen,Lingling Zhao,Yanping Rao 대한수학회 2023 대한수학회보 Vol.60 No.2

Let $(\mathcal{L}, \mathcal{A})$ be a complete duality pair. We give some equivalent characterizations of Gorenstein $(\mathcal{L}, \mathcal{A})$-projective modules and construct some model structures associated to duality pairs and Frobenius pairs. Some rings are described by Frobenius pairs. In addition, we investigate special Gorenstein $(\mathcal{L}, \mathcal{A})$-projective modules and construct some model structures and recollements associated to them.

An Electrothermochromic Fabric Prepared by Electrodeposition of Polypyrrole on Single Side

        Zeqi Chen,Chengzhuo Wei,Weida Rao,Lingling Fan,Jie Xu 한국섬유공학회 2018 Fibers and polymers Vol.19 No.11

An electrothermochromic fabric triggered by electric voltages was prepared by combining the electric heating feature of conductive polypyrrole (PPy) and the temperature-response color-changing feature of thermochromic inks. PPy was deposited selectively on the carbon-coated side of the sailcloth fabric via electrochemical polymerization. Thermochromic inks were painted on the reverse side with white color. The obtained fabric could be heated to about 48 oC and change its color significantly under an applied voltage of 3 V.

Potential Mechanisms of Perillae folium Against COVID-19: A Network Pharmacology Approach

        XuHan Chen,Xu Xu,Jia Lv,JinQin Huang,LingLing Lyu,Liping Liu 한국식품영양과학회 2023 Journal of medicinal food Vol.26 No.6

In China, Perillae folium is widely used to treat colds, especially in the early stages of cold; the effect of taking P. folium is readily noticeable at that time. The active compounds and targets of P. folium were screened from Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology, Chinese Pharmacopoeia, and UniProt. Targets related to the initiation and progression of 2019 Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) were retrieved from Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man and GeneCards. The potential therapeutic targets of P. folium on COVID-19 were the cross targets between them. Enrichment analysis of Gene Ontology (GO) function and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway were conducted by using the Database for Annotation, Visualization and Integrated Discovery website. Molecular docking between key compounds and core targets was performed with AutoDock. The effects of P. folium extract and rosmarinic acid on inflammatory cytokines were tested by a cellular inflammatory model. The “Perillae folium-compound-target-COVID-19” network contained 11 kinds of compounds and 33 matching targets. There were 261 items in the GO functions (P < .05) and 67 items linked to the KEGG signaling pathways (P < .05). Luteolin and rosmarinic acid were key compounds of P. folium. Their docking with the core targets mitogen-activated protein kinase 1 (MAPK1) and chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 2 (CCL2), respectively, showed that they had good affinity with each other. Cell experiments demonstrated that P. folium extract had inhibitory effects on interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α in cells, and was better than rosmarinic acid. Luteolin, rosmarinic acid, and other individual active compounds in P. folium, which may participate in PI3K-Akt, TNF, Jak-STAT, COVID-19, and other multisignaling pathways through multiple targets such as MAPK1 and CCL2, and play a therapeutic role in COVID-19.
