Purpose: Recently, the American Thyroid Association (ATA) dynamic risk stratification (DRS) has been verified to be more valuable than the static anatomical staging system for predicting prognosis in patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC). The purpose of this retrospective study was to compare the clinical usefulness of DRS, which is based on the response to initial treatment, with that of ATA initial risk stratification in pediatric patients. Methods: A total of 144 pediatric patients underwent thyroid operation from August 1982 to December 2013 at Yonsei University Hospital (Seoul, Korea). Among them, 128 patients with complete clinical data were enrolled in this study. Clinicopathologic features and surgical outcomes were retrospectively analyzed by medical chart review. The mean followup duration was 11.5 years. Results: The mean tumor size was 2.1 cm; 80.4% of patients were diagnosed with conventional papillary thyroid carcinoma, and 7.0% of patients were diagnosed with follicular thyroid carcinoma. Low-risk patients had the highest probability of an excellent response to initial treatment (66.6%). High-risk patients had the highest probability of a structural incomplete response (100%) and the lowest probability of an excellent response (11.1%). The ATA risk stratification and the DRS system were independent risk factors for disease-free survival (DFS) (P = 0.041 and P < 0.001, respectively). Conclusion: The DRS system, which is based on the response to initial treatment, can offer more useful prognostic information compared with ATA risk stratification in pediatric patients with DTC.

In this paper, a 2.4GHz CMOS RF transceiver design for BLE(Bluetooth Low Energy) application is presented. The fully-differential RF transceiver is compliant with Bluetooth core specification v5.0. The transceiver is comprised of low-IF receiver and zero-IF transmitter. The overall DC current consumption for continuous Tx transmission at +0dBm output power is 12mA and for continuous Rx reception at –90dBm sensitivity is 13mA. The transceiver is fabricated in 90nm CMOS process and total die size is 5.74mm2 including baseband modem and electrostatic discharge I/O pads.

The door impact beam is an important construction for protecting passenger because it absorbs the shock of crash in the event of side collision. It is located between door inner and outer panel and the bracket is welded on it for assembly with inner panel. Door impact beam with round shape has weak side impact performance because the contacting area between it and bracket is small. And according to the shape of outer panel, sometimes door impact beam with other shape instead of round shape is required. Door impact beam satisfied with design variable and higher quality of side impact characteristics than conventional type was developed by hot forming with tooling. And the result of this study was reflected in the real prototyping and reliability test.
Various Methods for Laparoscopic Adrenalectomy

Laparoscopic adrenalectomy (LA) is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that emerged as the preferred treatment method for adrenal tumors. LA has 4 main methods: transperitoneal, retroperitoneal, hand-assisted, and robot-assisted. Transperitoneal LA provides excellent visualization of the adrenal gland and surrounding structures and is well-suited for tumors in difficult locations. Posterior retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomy is a quick procedure with less postoperative pain and discomfort, making it an excellent option for smaller tumors in easy-to-reach locations. Hand-assisted LA combines the benefits of laparoscopic surgery with the tactile feedback of traditional open surgery. It is a good option for larger tumors or in patients with obesity. A robot-assisted LA is a good option for complex cases because it enables the surgeon to have greater precision and control of the surgical instruments. The choice of the LA technique should be made on a case-by-case basis, considering the patient’s factors and the surgeon’s experience and preference. Thorough preoperative evaluation and careful patient selection are essential for optimal surgical outcomes.
