Magnetic Vortices and Skyrmions
Konstantin Y. Guslienko 한국자기학회 2019 Journal of Magnetics Vol.24 No.4
Recent advances in the research area of 2D magnetic topological solitons (vortices and skyrmions) in restricted geometries are reviewed. The description of the solitons is based on macroscopic micromagnetic approach and the Landau-Lifshitz equation of the magnetization motion. The vortex/skyrmion stability, energy barriers, gyrotropic and spin wave excitation modes in thin ferromagnetic films and dots are considered.
Konstantin Borodin,Sergei Salnikov 한국국제경제학회 2018 International Economic Journal Vol.32 No.3
The purpose of this paper is to assess the major trends, factors, and prospects of development of Russian and EEU sunflower oil exports. The sanctions resulted in an increase of sunflower oil exports in 2014 to a peak value, which allowed the producers to accumulate revenues in hard currency. The gravity models findings for Russia and for the EEU show that the sanctions stimulated the growth of sunflower oil exports. As distinct from a common language, a common border also encourages the development of Eurasian exports to third countries. The tariff size in the importer country is strongly and negatively connected with exports both from Russia and from the EEU. The effect of regional integration within the EEU is insignificant for the development of sunflower oil exports, while regional integration processes in the CIS have a positive impact on exports.
Bivalve mollusks in Ulsan Bay (Korea)
Konstantin A. Lutaenko 한국패류학회 2014 The Korean Journal of Malacology Vol.30 No.1
The bivalve molluscan fauna of Ulsan Bay, East Sea coast of Korea, is summarized, based on original and literature data. The fauna consists of 61 species belonging to 20 families. Seven species are identified only to genus level. Two species (Carditellopsis toneana (Yokoyama, 1922), Carditidae and Fulvia hungerfordi (G.B. Sowerby III, 1901), Cardiidae) are new records for the East Sea coast of Korea, and one species (Crenella decussata (Montagu, 1808), Mytilidae) is a new record for Korea. Biogeographically, Ulsan Bay’s bivalve fauna is subtropical with a predominance of tropical-subtropical species, 21 species, or 39% of the total species number, subtropical, 14 species, or 26%, and subtropical-boreal (mostly subtropical-lowboreal), 11 species, 21%, totalling 86%. A remarkable feature of the Ulsan Bay fauna is the presence of tropical-subtropical species not found in Yeongil Bay but common in tidal flats and shallow waters of the Yellow Sea and the southern part of Korea. A cold water mass appearing off the southeast coast of Korea near Ulsan in summer seems responsible for the presence of boreal-arctic species in this area.
Phase equilibria and thermodynamic properties in the o-dichlorobenzene - mdichlorobenzene system
Konstantin Samukov,Aleksey Maksimov,Ekaterina Belova,Mikhail Bubenchikov,Irina Uspenskaya 한국화학공학회 2022 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.39 No.12
Rankine cycle is widely used in industry to convert heat to work using a working fluid. A mixture of oandm-isomers of dichlorobenzene can act efficiently as a working fluid in the cycle. An equation of state (EoS) approachwas chosen to model vapor-liquid equilibria and phase properties in the system. The best results were achieved withTsai-Chen EoS. Experimental measurements of volumetric properties of mixtures and solid-liquid equilibria were performed. These data were correctly predicted within the ideal assumption. An enthalpy-pressure diagram for the odichlorobenzene- m-dichlorobenzene system was calculated using the resulting EoS.
