        한국인 성인의 상악중절치 형태와 크기에 관한 통계학적 연구

        Authors examined the morphology and sizes in the maxillary central incisor from Korean adults and the following conclusions have been drawn. 1. An observation on the shape of labial surface in maxillary central incisors was as follows. 1) Labial surface with straight mesial margin, curved distal margin to the incisal edge and obtuse distal cutting angle was 78.80%. 2) Nearly rectangular form was 11.96%. 3) Triangular form was 9.20%. 2. The percentages on the shape of lingual surface in maxillary central incisors. 1) Lingual surface with faint and smooth cingulum (0 type) was 60.74%. 2) Lingual surface with invaginated cingulum (V type) was 23.99%. 3) Lingual surface with one small tubercle projecting to the incisal edge from cingulum . (W type) was 12.75%. 4) Lingual surface with two small tubercles projecting to the incisal edge from cingulum (M type) was 2.52%. 3)The sizes of the maxillary central incisor were as follows. Male Female Crown length 11.22mm 10.45mm Crown width 8.47mm 8.31mm Cervical width 6.84mm 6.63mm Crown thickness 7.10mm 6.78mm Cervical thickness 6.62mm 6.43mm Mesial curvature 2.75mm 2.47mm Distal curvature 2.22mm 2.03mm 4. In comparison with wheeler's data, no significant difference was found, but mesial curvature and distal curvature were larger, crown length was shorter in wheeler's data.

        상아질 결합제의 결합력에 관한 연구

        In this study, the shear bond strength of dentin bonding agents to the extracted dentin surface was measured. Six kinds of dentin bonding agents and nine kinds of dental composite resins currently used in Korea were studied. Extracted premolar or molar tooth was embedded in acrylic resin and one of the nonocclusal surface of the crown was exposed by grinding. The exposed surface was polished up # 600 silicone carbide paper and the specimen was soaked in Fusayama's artificial saliva more than 24 hours. After the exopsed dentin surface was air-dired in the case of dry technique and blotted with tissue paper softly in the case of wet technique, dentin bonding agent was applied and dental composite resin packed in gelatin capsule was bonded on it. The specimens were stored in 37℃ Fusayama's artificial saliva for 24 hours and then the attached composite resin nodule was detached with Instron Universal Testing Machine with the cross-head speed of 0.2 mm.min. From the experiment, the following results were obtained : 1. The shear bond strength of AB2 to the extracted dentin was 8.6112.23 MPa and those values were not significantly different depending on the composite resins attached (p>0.05) 2. The shear bond strength of DH2 was 7.9314.17 MPa, and that of SC2 was 9.75∼15.13 MPa. With these dentin bonding agents, the shear bond strength was not significantly different depending on the application technique (wet or dry bonding)(p>0.05). 3. DH2 and SC2 generally showed high shear bond strength and DH2/ SUP(W, D), DH2/CRA(D), SC2/P50(W) and SC2/SUP(W) couples showed somewhat higher shear bond strength than others.

        인공타액에서 염소 및 황이온이 치과용 아말감의 전기화학적 부식에 주는 영향

        The amalgam alloys contained the Ag, Sn, and Cu. Alloys containing Ag and Cu suffer sulfide tarnish and chloride corrosion. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of Cl and S ions in artificial saliva on electrochemical corrosion dental amalgam and clarify the effect of sulfides on chlorides corrosion of dental amalgam. Eight types of dental amalgams were selected; four conventional dental amalgam alloys (BSA, CVX, HIA, and STF) and four high copper alloys (A21, LGA, LUX, and TYT). Fusayama's modified artificial saliva was used as standard electrolyte (concentrations of Cl and S ion were 12.22 mM/ℓ, 0.1mM/ℓ respectively). The concentration of Cl ions was modified to 1.22mM/ℓ, 12.22mM/ℓ, 24.44mM/ℓ, and 61.10mM/ℓ. As the Cl ions fixed at 12.22 mM/ℓ and 24.44mM/ℓ, the concentration of S ions in the artificial saliva was also modified to 0.1mM/ℓ, 0.5mM/ℓ, 1.0 mM/ℓ, and 5.0mM/ℓ. Specimens were tested by potentiostatic anodic polarization technique with scanning rate of 1 mV/sec. from -1200 mV to +800 mV at 37±2℃ From the experiment, the following results were obtained: 1. In the standard electrolyte, the corrosion resistance of the high-copper amalgams was higher than that of the conventional amalgams since the range of passivity for the high-copper amalgams was 200 mV wider than that of the conventional amalgams. 2. As the amount of chloride in the artificial saliva increased, the corrosion resistance of the conventional amalgams was decreased but the passivity of the high-copper amalgams was not changed. 3. When the concentraion of Cl was kept at 12.22 mM/ℓ, the increase of S had a little on the corrosion potential but caused increase of current density of the conventional amalgams. The corrosion resistance of the high-copper amalgams was decreased with similar trend to the conventional amalgams. 4. When the concentraion of Cl was kept at 61.10 mM/ℓ, the increase of S had a little on the corrosion behavior of the conventional amalgams. In case of high-copper amalgams, however, the corrosion resistance was decreased.

        치과용 저금계 합금의 조성 및 열처리에 따른 경도 및 변색에 관한 연구

        Discoloration of dental alloys results from several reasons such as chemical tarnish, precipitation of chromatic substance on the alloy surface. In this study, the discoloration of 20 kinds of dental casting alloys was measured after immersion in various solutions, and the results were analyzed by the composition of the alloys and solutions. The effects of constitutional elements of the alloys on the color and discoloration of alloys were evaluated also. Cast specimens were polished with #400 silicons carbide paper, and were washed and dried. Vickers hardness of the alloys specimens was measured before and after heat treatment. Color of specimens was measured with the Spectrophotometer (Minolta CM-3500d, Japan.) with the CIELAB scale. Illumination C was used with SCE. Five kinds of aqueous solutions of HP (10% H₂O₂), NS (5% Na₂S), NC (5% NaCL), AS (mucin-added artificial saliva) and SF (10% SnF₂) were used, and the specimens were immersed at 37℃ for one and three days. ΔE* of the mostly discolored alloy for three days in HP was very high as 26.6, 10.27 in NS, 7.88 in AS, 4.23 in SF, and 4.18 in NC. Multiple regression analysis among CIE L*, a*, b* before immersion and the alloy composition showed that each CIE L*, a*, b* was negatively correlated with palladium content, and R value was -0.623, -0.365, -0.674 respectively. Multiple regression analysis among ΔE*, ΔL*, Δa*, and Δb* after there days and the alloy composition showed that silver was positively correlated with ΔE* (R = 0.510, p<0.01), and CIE L* was influenced by silver and copper content, CIE a* was influenced by copper and indium content, CIE b* was influenced by silver content (p<0.01). VHN number was 146.00∼347.60 before heat treatment, and 161.20∼331.20 after heat treatment.

        치과용 아말감과 상아질의 결합강도에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the shear bond strength of amalgam to dentin treated with the various bonding agents and to examine the failure mode after bond test. Four kinds of dental amalgam and six kinds of dentin bonding agents were used in this study. Copalite varnish was used for control group. The extracted human molars were mounted in a self-cured acrylic resin and the nonocclusal surface of the crown was exposed by grinding. A well-fitted wax mold was placed on the dentin surface and dentin adhesives were applied according to the manufacturer's instructions before condensing the amalgam. After condensation of the amalgam, specimens were stored at 37℃ and 100% relative humidity for 24 hours to complete hardening process. Specimens were aged in a deionized water at 37℃ for 24 hours, then tested in shear on a Instron universal testing machine at a cross-head speed of 0.2mm-min. From the experiment, the following results were obtained: 1. The bonding agents which included NTG-GMA, showed a low shear bond strength. It was observed that the fracture modes between bonding agents and amalgam were adhesive failure. 2. The bonding agents which included 4-META, showed a high shear bond strength. Some fracture modes between bonding agents and amalgam showed cohesive failure, although many fracture modes showed adhesive failure. 3. For the bonding agents which included a phosphate ester system, the shear bond strength showed large scattering depending on bonding agent. When specimens showed a high shear bond strength, the mixed (adhesive/cohesive) failure mode between bonding agents and amalgam were observed. 4. BDX produced a low shear bond strength. It was observed that the control group(CPL) was' not effective for amalgam bonding agent.

        한국인 성인의 상악측절치 형태와 크기에 관한 연구

        한국인 성인 사악측절치의 석고모형과 발거치야에서 순면, 절단연, 절단우각, 설면의 형태를 조사하였고 치아의 크기를 계측하여 Wheeler의 수치와 비교하였다. 순면의 형태는 중앙업의 발육이 중등도로 뚜렷한 치아가 가장 많았고 절단인의 형태는 절단인이 둥근 치아가 가장 많았으며, 절단우각의 형태는 원심절단우각이 근심절단우각보다 중등도로 완치아가 가장많았다. 치아의 크기는 남녀 각각 치관장은 9.9㎜. 9.4㎜, 치관폭은 7.0㎜ 6.8㎜ 치경부치관 폭은 5.5㎜ 5.2㎜ 치관후는 6.5㎜ 6.2㎜ 치경부치관후는 6.1㎜ 5.9㎜ 치경부 근심만곡은 2.5㎜ 2.1㎜ 치경부 원심만곡은 2.0㎜ 1.8㎜이 었다.
