This paper is intended to study 〈Jumong Myth〉 which's written by many writers newly. It seems to me that there are characters which are represented images of Jumong and Yoohwa in 〈Jumong Myth〉 in their works. First of all, it seems that they showed aspects of Jumong or Yoohwa as the Hero of the founder or the Hero's supporter of wisdom in their poems 『Dongmaeng』 and 『The Four Pillars and Eight Characters of Go, Ju-mong as the founder of Goguryeo Dongmyeongsungwang』by Seo, Jeong-ju, 『Lady Yoohwa』by Song Su-kwon and 『The sky of Jumong』 by Yoon Keum-cho. Only Seo‘s characters are expressed a destiny and a right but Song and Yoon's are represented the Hero itself in the narrative process through agony of realities. The secondly, it seems that Lee, Kwang-su showed aspects of Jumong as a so n?a husband?a father through the life of the Hero in his work 『Dongmyeongwang of love』. And Song Ha-chun showed aspects of Yoohwa in 〈Jumong Myth〉 through a woman as a unusual birth of process and preservation of life in his work 『Daughters of Haback』. In conclusion, it seems that their works either poems or novels are represented and recreated various images of Jumong and Yoohwa in 〈Jumong Myth〉.

Protective Effect of Curcumin and Aqueous Extract of Onchengyeum on CCl_(4)-induced Hepatotoxicity

An aqueous extract of oriental herbal composition named Onchengyeum and curcumin, an antioxidant isolated from turmeric (Curcuma longa Linné) reduced hepatotoxicity induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl_(4)). Improved liver function was observed by measuring the activities of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (CRE), total cholesterol (TCHO), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-CHO), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-CHO), total protein (TP), albumin (ALB) and total bilirubin (BIL) in serum. Hepatic parameters monitored were levels of cholesterol (CHO), triglyceride (TG), malondialdehyde (MDA) and content of cytochrome P450 (CYP), level of glutathione (GSH), activities of NADPH-CYP reductase, superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione S-transferase (GST), glutathione reductase (GR), glutathione peroxidase (GPx). The histopathological examination showed that the treatment of Onchengyeum and curcumin relieved the ballooning degeneration of hepatocytes which had been generated by CCl_(4). The results suggested that hepatoprotective effects of Onchengyeum and curcumin possibly are due to their promising antioxidative activity.

Iridology, developed more than 100 years ago, is the diagnosis of medical conditions through noting irregularities of the pigmentation in the iris The purpose of this study is to compare interrelation between CVA, hypertension family history and cardio-renal connective tissue in Iris Constitution through iris constitution examination. The subjects consist of 114 patients who were examined in Iris Constitution at Chonju Oriental Medicine Hospital attached to Wonkwang Univ. from September. 1St. 2000 to August. 31th. 2002. 1. In the distribution of Iris Constitution, among of 79cases, There are neurogenic type 13cases, abdominal connective tissue weakness constitution 31 cases, cardio-renal connective tissue weakness constitution 6 cases, cholesterol 7 cases and others 22 case in control group. 2. There are familial history of CVA and hypertention 32 cases, no familial history of CVA and hypertention1 3 cases, in 35cases of experimental group. These results imply that there is meaningfulness of interrelation between cardio-renal connective tissue weakness constitution and. CVA, hypertention.

남북한 어휘의 이질화 양상

The purpose of this study is to investigate the differentiation phenomenon between South and North Korean vocabulary. The researcher analyzes the unknown words of the opposite area that South and North Korean residents have indicated. In chapter 2, this study examines the characteristics of South Korean words unknown to North Korean residents. In chapter 3, the study also examines the characteristics of North Korean words unknown to South Korean residents. In chapter 4. the study analyzes the factors that differentiate two languages. The study suggests that in case of pure native words, both areas have many commonalities in every-day use languages. However, this study also attends to the differences in two languages. In North Korean, there are other words with more specified meaning. In addition, there are many socio-culturally coded native Korean words, refined languages and polysemies in North Korean. On the other hand, South Korean language includes Sino-Korean vocabulary, and they are mostly jargons and neologism originated from the political, economical, and sports field.

記者村을 통해 본 開發制限區域內 住居空間의 變容에 관한 硏究

This study starts with interest in the residential place in development limitation area within Eunpyeoung New Town Development Area which has actively in progress. Journalist Town is a residential area formed between the late 1960s and the early 1970s, especially formed in a wide area by journalist groups. In particular, the residence area is significant as a case that portrays an aspect of the formations process of general residential areas as it was formed by private developers just like most housing was provided by construction of private developers at that time. Most detached house areas during the period were developed according to plans, and they showed a lot of differences in time ranges and in geographical areas though they were formed in the same way. These differences are manifested in a variety of aspects according to the development subjects. Journalist Town was built by private developers in the form of Job Union Housing, which means that it was planned from the beginning that people with the same occupations would live in the area. Thus, it was possible to actively reflect the prospective residents' opinions in the course of planning. The residents' participation in the planning of the residential area led to different physical features from other general detached house areas. Therefore, Journalist Town, though formed though construction by Private Developers, introduced neighborhood planning concepts in it, unlike other residential areas constructed by Private Developers. As well, the constricting method of the households and sites adopted an approach similar to Residential Site Development Method pursuant to Land Adjustment Project which was commonly implemented mainly in the suburban Seoul. One of the characteristics in its course of changes is that Journalist Town was formed first and its was reserved as Development Limitation Area. Therefore, it has gone through different process of changes from other residential areas. Its consequent characteristic is that due to Development Limitation Area, it does not have overcrowdedness which is usually found in general detached house areas. While Journalist Town seemingly showed a small range of changes, its characteristics has gone through big changes since the 1980s. At first, 80% of the residents were journalists with 15% of military personnel, which suited its name of Journalist Town. But nowadays journalists are only 9%. It can finds an explanation in the difficulty of development due to the constraints from Development Limitation Area System, though it first started as a large scale Village of Likeminded Persons; the residents could not satisfy their needs for property development and residence expansion and they eventually moved out. Accordingly, the resident ratio in Town has shown dramatic changes since the 1980s with fast-paced economic growth around the country. Journalist Town, formed in the transitional period between the late 1960s and the early 1970s, represented situations of the times and the housing cultures. Especially, due to Development Limitation Area Law enacted in 1971, it has not changed much from its initial state. Thus, it can serve a good example to study the characteristics of planned development and the types of housing between the late 1960s and the early 1970s. At the same time, it can be a useful material to portray an aspect of Korean housing planning in its bigger picture. Furthermore, in that Journalist Town is to disappear as it is part of Eunpyeoung New Town Development Project, documentation of the Town's development history could serve a valuable material for further studies.

死因贈與에 관한 考察

The Korean Civil Code provides about Gift and Gifts mortic causa as followings. Article 554 says about 'Meaning of Contract of Gift' that ""A contract of gift shall become effective when one of the parties declares his intention to transfer property of his own gratuitously to the other party and the other party agrees to accept it"". And Article 562 provides about 'Gifts mortis causa' that ""The provisions relating to testamentary gifts shall apply mutatis mutandis to a contract of gift which is to become effective upon the death of the donor"". There are several legal problems about Gifts mortis causa.

한글대장경 검색 시스템

한글대장경의 전산화 및 검색 시스템 개발은 세계에 우리 문화의 우수성을 널리 알리고, 우리 문화유산에 대한 국민적 관심을 높이며 해당 분야에 대한 효과적인 연구를 지원하기 위해 반드시 필요하다. 한글대장경은 고려대장경의 번역본으로 주로 한글로 기록되어 있지만, 원문의 이해를 돕기 위해서 다양한 한자가 사용되고 있다. 이러한 한자들은 본자(本字)와 뜻은 같지만 모양이 틀린 이체자(異體字)및 오자(誤字)나 탈자(脫字)로 간주되는 파자(破字) 등을 포함하고 있으므로 입력이나 저장 뿐 아니라 검색 관점에서도 여러 가지 문제점을 갖는다. 또한 인터넷이 널리 보급되면서 인터넷을 통한 문헌 검색이 증가하였지만 기존의 문헌 검색 시스템은 용어 검색, 색인 검색 등과 같은 단순한 검색만을 지원하기 때문에 사용자의 다양한 검색 요구를 충족시키기가 어려웠다. 본 연구에서는 한글대장경의 효과적인 입력과 저장을 위해 유니코드(unicode)를 사용하였고, 효율적인 검색을 위해 문서 구조를 XML로 정의하였으며, 결과내 검색과 히스토리 검색 등과 같은 다양한 검색 방법을 지원하는 웹 기반 한글 대장경 검색 시스템을 개발하였다.

民法 제809조의 改正에 관하여

There are some legal systems about prohibition of marriage between close blood relatives or close relatives of affinity in every country's civil law. Under Korean Civil Code, we have the legal system about prohibition of marriage between blood relatives or affinity relatives. Section 809 of Korean Civil Code provides of prohibition of marriage between parties whose surname and its origin are common or who have affinity relatives. Section 809, paragraph (1) provides that "marriage may not be allowed between blood relatives, if both surname and its origin are common to the parties"and paragraph (2) says that "marriage may not be allowed to the parties if either of them is or was the spouse of a male line blood relative, husband's blood relative or any other relative by affinity within the eighth degree of relationship. Korean Civil Code Section 815 provides of 'Nullity of Marriage', and it says that "marriage is null and void if it falls under any of the following subparagraphs ; 2. Where there exists or existed between the parties the relationship of lineal blood relative, collateral blood relative within the eighth degree of relationship and spouse to one of such relatives; and 3. Where there exists or existed between the parties the relationship of lineal relative by affinity and relative by affinity of husband's blood relative within the eighth degree of relationship. Then the legal scope of the prohibition of marriage is so wide, so it needs to make it smaller, now, the governmental amendment(of the year of 2000) of Section 809 of Korean Civil Code is submitted to Korean National Assembly, waiting for being passed. And also, the decision of the court of fundamental law held that the paragraph (1) of Section 809 was in 'discord with Korean Fundamental Law', so that paragraph (1) has been not effective since Jan. 1. in 1999. And there are also several problems in the legal interpretation about Section 809 as the current provision, and in the amendment of Section 809. I think that the concept of 'the same surname and same origin of the ancestor' should be needed in the amendment because it is useful to use that concept, and the scope of prohibition of marriage between close blood relatives or close affinity relatives must be smaller.
