관혈적 정복술 및 내고정술 후 군인에게 발생한 경비골 원위부 골결합증(1예 보고)

The scanty literature on distal tibiofibular synostosis includes descriptions of relatively few specific complaints. Here we report a case of a 24-year-old young soldier who sustained a left ankle lateral malleolar fracture about 6 months ago and was initially treated by the open reduction and internal fixation with plate & screw. But 6 months later, he suffered from an vague ankle pain, each time the symptoms occurred right after an active ambulation, ankle dorsiflexion, especially when he had exercised aggressively. The radiographs revealed that there was a mature distal tibiofibular synostosis. We treated the patient with surgical excision of synostosis. Post-operative condition was satisfied to all concern and the result was found to be excellent during one-year follow-up.

인터넷 중독 고위험 청소년의 성별에 따른 임상적, 정신병리적 특성

Objectives : Most previous studies of Internet addiction (IA) have been performed on males, and little is known about gen-der differences in IA. We examined gender differences in the clinical and psychopathological features related to high-risk for IA among adolescents. Methods : 714 (male : N=389 ; fe-male : N=325) have reported questionnaires as follows ; 1) clinical and psychopathological features (depression, anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) symptoms, Smartphone addiction, impulsivity, behavioral inhibition and approach systems, state-trait anger, aggression, beliefs about aggression, and resilience) 2) Internet and Smartphone usage patterns. In 691 who completed the Young’s Internet Addiction Test (YIAT), A total of 487 adolescents were classified into the normal Internet use group, with YIAT scores of 20-39 (male :N=232 ; female : N=255) and 204 adolescents were classified into high-risk for IA group (male : N=144 ; female : N=60). Results : Most factors described above predicted high-risk for IA in male and female adolescents. Especially, the present study found that psychological resilience had negative association with possibility of IA in female, while cognitive impulsivity and hostile aggression were associated with possibility of IA in male adolescents. Conclusion : This study found gender-re-lated features in adolescents at high-risk for IA. Thus, gender-specific strategies are needed to maximize prevention and treatment effectiveness of IA.

저전력 네트워크 기반의 확장 용이한 스마트 홈 IoT 시스템

There are increasing interests on smart home systems. However, most of the existing works focus on the functionality itself. In this paper, we propose an extensible smart home system based on low power networking such as CoAP, 6LoWPAN, and Zigbee. The proposed home IoT system consists of Home APP, Home Server, Home Broker, and Power Devices. Each component of the system is connected by the low-power network technologies aforementioned. As the end device, Power Device senses the current consumption of the attached appliance and controls the power to it. Power Device reports the sensing data to Home Server via Home Broker. The Home Broker enhances the scalability of the system. Home Broker extends the service area and the user's services, and it manages the connection of the underlying devices and processes, and transmits data to Home Server from Power Devices. Through the experimental evaluation, we show that the proposed system achieves the design goals such as extensibility and low power networking.

전위된 관절 내 종골 골절의 치료

Recently, open reduction and internal fixation has been the treatment of choice for displaced intra-articular calcaneal fractures for many orthopaedic surgeons. However controversy still surrounds the optimal treatment with regard to whether displaced intra-articular calcaneal fractures should be treated operatively or conservatively. Conservative treatments include use of splint, rest, leg elevation, icing, use of analgesics and early mobilization. Operative treatment is open reduction and internal fixation, performed through an extensile lateral approach with interfragmentary screws and application of a neutralization plate. We reviewed the question of whether operative treatment by open reduction and internal fixation provides a benefit compared with conservative treatment for displaced intra-articular calcaneal fractures.

무기전계발광 디스플레이 소자 제작 및 광학 특성 연구

Statistical designs of experiments were applied in order to understand the effect of processing variables on the brightness of inorganic electroluminescent displays. The main effects and interaction of phosphor and dielectric layers are estimated to be statistically significant. Additional improvement was made on removing the pores in the thick films, using the defoaming in pastes and cold isostatic pressing in bonding the top and bottom parts of the inorganic electroluminescent devices. Such optimization contributed to the reduction in the corresponding threshold voltage and enhancement in the brightness.

운동 선수에게 발생한 급성 비골건 아탈구의 수술적 치료: 증례 보고-2예

Acute subluxation of the peroneal tendon is an uncommon injury which is predominantly associated with a trauma. Traumatic peroneal tendon subluxation in athletes is an uncommon cause of ankle pain. As a result, the diagnosis is often delayed. Numerous surgical techniques have been described for chronic peroneal subluxation or dislocation, however reports in acute cases are rare. Authors experienced two cases of acute subluxation of peroneal tendon in athletes which were treated by simple primary repair of superior peroneal retinaculum with good results.

관절외 배부 폐쇄 쐐기 절골술을 이용한 Freiberg병의 치료 결과

Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the result of extraarticular dorsal closing wedge osteotomy in Freiberg's disease. Materials and Methods: Between February 2012 and July 2014, total 10 patients who underwent dorsal closing wedge osteotomy and followed up more than 1 year were selected for inclusion. Average age was 16.3 years, and average follow-up period was 15.5 months. The diagnosis was made using magnetic resonance imaging of those with a limitation in walking or usual activity due to pain in the metatarsal head. During operation, we removed loose body, and synovectomy was done. Osteotomy at the metatarsal neck and fixation with Kirschner wire were performed. X-ray was taken to check shortening of 2nd metatarsal and bone union. Moreover, we checked the active range of motion of 2nd metatarsophalangeal joint before and after surgery. At the last follow-up, the shortening of metatarsal, American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) score, visual analogue scale (VAS), and patient's subjective satisfaction were evaluated. Results: According to the Smillie's stage, there were 3 cases of stage II, 4 cases of stage III, and 3 cases of stage IV. Average bone union time on the osteotomy site was 8 weeks. Average shortening of metatarsal was 2.53 mm. Average AOFAS score improved significantly from 56.9 to 82.8 points at final follow-up (p<0.05), and average VAS score also improved significantly from 6.4 to 1.4 points at final follow-up (p<0.05). Average active range of motion at metatarsophalangeal joint improved from $28.0^{\circ}$ preoperatively to $46.5^{\circ}$ at the final follow-up. Other complications, such as metatarsalgia and arthritis, were not found; however, there was 1 case of delayed union with no symptom. Conclusion: In Freiberg's disease, dorsal closing wedge osteotomy is recommended for the improvement of clinical symptoms and range of motion.

가접부를 고려한 필릿 용접조건의 선정에 관한 연구

In this study, an experimental method for the selection of optimal welding condition was proposed in the fillet weld which was done over the tack weld. This method used the response surface analysis in which the leg length and the reinforcement height were chosen as the quality variables of the weld bead profile. The overall desirability function, which was combined desirability function fur the two quality variables, was employed as the objective function for getting the optimal welding condition. In the experiments, the target values of the leg length and the reinforcement height are 6m and zero respectively for the horizontal fillet weld of 10mm thickness mild steel. The optimal welding conditions could predict the weld bead profile(leg length and reinforcement height) as 6.00mm and 0.19mm without tack weld and 6.00mm and 0.48mm with tack weld. from a series of welding test, it was revealed that a uniform weld bead can be obtained by adopting the optimal welding condition which was determined according to the method proposed.

성인의 원위 경비골 관절에 발생한 골연골종 - 1예 보고 -

Although osteochondromas are common lesions, osteochondroma accompanying diastasis of the ankle joint in a child or adult is an uncommon condition. No previous cases of distal tibiofibular diastasis caused by an osteochondroma in adult have been reported except in child. The authurs experienced a case of mild distal tibiofibular diastasis secondary to an osteochondroma in a 37-year-old female presented with right ankle pain. Osteochondroma of the distal tibiofibular joint were detected on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). She was pain-free 4 weeks after excision of the osteochondroma. The patient has remained asymptomatic for 1 years postoperatively. Early excision obviates the need for complex reconstructive surgery to correct ankle deformity later.

Cost Effective Fabrication of a Triboelectric Energy Harvester Using Soft Lithography

에너지 수확은 우리주변에 존재하는 버려지는 에너지를 유용한 전기에너지로 변환하는 기술이다. 마찰전기 소자는 접촉을 통한 정전기를 유도하는 원리로 동력학적 에너지를 전기에너지로 전환하는 소자이다. 본 연구에서는 소프트 식각 기술을 활용하여 제작 단계를 최소화한 마찰전기 에너지 수확소자를 개발하고, 그 전기적 특성을 측정하였다. 마찰전기를 통한 발전은 마이크로패턴을 통해 마이크로 거칠기를 가진 알루미늄 층과 PDMS 층 사이에서 발생한다. 이때 PDMS 층의 마이크로 패턴은 마스크리스 식각을 통해 만들어진 알루미늄 층의 마이크로 패턴을 소프트 식각법으로 바로 본뜨는 방식으로 제작되었다. 본 소자는 2 V와 20 nA의 발전 성능을 나타낸다. Energy harvesting refers to converting ambient energy from our surroundings, which would be otherwise wasted, into useful electrical energy. A triboelectric energy harvester is a self-charged device for harnessing mechanical energy based on a coupled process of contact charging and electrostatic induction. In this research, we demonstrate simple fabrication of prototype triboelectric energy harvester using soft lithography and its electrical characterization. Triboelectric generation occurs between the two micro patterned layers of Au and PDMS. A micro pattern is simply replicated directly from the bottom layer to the top layer using soft-lithography without an extra transfer process. This generator can produce an output voltage of 2 V and output current of 20 nA.
