螢光像 測定法으로 分析한 HUMACTBP2 遺傳座位에 대한 韓國人의 遺傳的 多樣性과 法醫學的 有用性

The HUMACTBP2 locus was investigated to collect population genetic data in the Korean population and to evaluate the applicability for the forensic field. An Automatic fluorescent-based sequencer (377 automatic DNA sequencer, ABI) was used to detect amplified fragments of the HUMACTBP2 locus electrophoresed on 4% denaturing polyacrylamide sequencing gels. ACTBP2 allelic ladder consisting of different sizes of 18 alleles was constructed and employed as an internal size standard in combination with a GS-350 size standard for precision of allele-band sizing. By utilizing different fluorescent dyes, both the allelic ladders and samples were able to be analyzed in the same lane by 99% precision of allele-band sizing. Among the Korean population (n=224), 26 alleles in the range of 239-313 bp are determined. Allele No. 6 is found 45 times (0.100) which is mostly frequent, and the rest of allele is distributed with their relative frequency of 0.112-0.100. The comparison between observed and expected numbers of homozygous and heterozygous individuals confirms that ACTBP2 locus is in the state of Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium among the Korean population. The heterozygosity is 0.9389±0.0034(93.89%), and the power of discrimination)PD) and power of exclusion(PEX) are calculated to be 0.991(99.1%) and 0.890(89.0%), respectively, showing the high informativeness for individual identification. Thus, these results mean that the HUMACTBP2 locus can effectively be used for the forensic application.
전도성 고분자 센서 어레이를 이용한 휘발성 유기 화합물 가스 인식

휘발성 유기 화합물 가스(Volatile Organic Compounds)를 인식하고 분석하기 위하여 전도성 고분자 센서어레이를 이용한 시스템을 제작하였다. Polypyrrole와 Polyaniline을 화학중합법으로 센서에 전도성고분자막을 형성하였고 이를 통해 VOC 검지용 센서 어레이를 제작하였다. 센서어레이로부터 측정되는 다차원 데이터는 주성분분석법(PCA)과 RBF(Radial Basis Function Network)을 이용하였다. 제안된 시스템으로 VOCs 가스를 인식하는데 있어서 RBF Network이 PCA방식보다 더욱 효율적인 것으로 판단되었다. We fabricated gas recognition system using conducting polymer sensor array for recognizing and analyzing VOCs(Volatile Organic Compounds) gases. The polypyrrole and polyaniline thin film sensors which were made by chemical polymerization were employed to detect VOCs. The multi-dimensional sensor signals obtained from the sensor array were analyzed using PCA(principal component analysis) technique and RBF(radial basis function) Network. Throughout the experimental trails, we confirmed that RBF Network is effective than PCA technique in identifying VOCs.
S-538 : Two cases of right middle lobe syndrome due to eosinophilic mucus in adults

Right middle lobe syndrome (RMLS) is defined as a recurrent or chronic collapse of the middle lobe of the right lung by certain pathologic conditions. RMLS is a relatively uncommon condition having multiple etiologies and various clinical presentations. Here, we report two cases of RMLS due to the eosinophilic mucus. The first case was a 57-year old female visited our clinic because of non productive cough for 3 weeks developing after upper respiratory tract infection. A chest X-ray showed a persistent consolidation in the right middle lobe despite of treatment with antibiotics over two weeks. The second case was a 52-year old female transferred to our clinic for the treatment of pneumonia. Her respiratory symptoms and radiologic abnormalities were gradually resolved after the administration of antibiotics but still remained RML infiltration on the x-ray. In both cases, chest CT scans showed RML obstruction and bronchoscopic findings were the RML bronchus obstruction by thick and yellowish materials. Pathologic findings showed mucus with many eosinophils and Charcot-Leyden crystals. They had no history of bronchial asthma. Pulmonary function tests were normal as well as negative bronchodilator responses. They showed negative responses to fungal allergens such as Alternaria, Aspergillus, Cladosporium, and Penicillium in both skin tests and specific IgE antibodies using ImmunoCAP. However, they had eosinophilia in blood and bronchoalveolar larvage fluid and elevated total IgE levels. Once the mucus plugs removed, their symptoms and x-ray were normalized. In conclusion, eosinophilic mucus should be considered as one of the causes in patients with RMLS regardless of typical asthmatic symptoms.

Object detection in aerial images is continuously studied for various purposes such as national security, disaster monitoring, and meteorological observation. It is difficult to improve recent object detection methods based on a single model using deep learning due to severe class imbalance. This paper proposes a deep ensemble method combining two models with different strengths and a class-dependent thresholding method by considering the object distribution. We demonstrate the superiority of our methods in a series of experiments. In addition, we take 1st place in both public and private scores in the Arirang satellite image AI object detection contest.

Right middle lobe syndrome (RMLS) is defined as a transient or recurrent, chronic collapse of the middle lobe of the right lung by certain pathologic conditions. RMLS is a relatively uncommon condition having multiple etiologies and various clinical presentations. Two patients were referred to Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital, one for the treatment of coughing and the other for the treatment of pneumonia. A diagnosis of RMLS was identified through X-ray and computed tomography image evaluation for each condition. Bronchoscopy revealed mucus obstruction in the right middle lobe bronchus. Biopsy of the aspirated mucus showed mucus containing many eosinophils and Charcot-Leyden crystals. After removal of impacted mucus, clinical and radiological improvements were observed in both patients. Therefore, eosinophilic mucus impaction can be considered a potential cause of RMLS, irrespective of any underlying asthmatic symptoms. (Allergy Asthma Respir Dis 2016;4:149-153)
